Analysis and segmentation of tomographic images
Dorazil, Jan ; Bartušek, Karel (referee) ; Smékal, Zdeněk (advisor)
The thesis deals with the edge detection in the magnetic resonance images and their segmentation. There are adduced the gradient based methods, methods based on zero-crossing in the Laplacian images and also methods combined both of the methods adduced above. These methods are compared to find the best one for the temporo-mandibular joint detection. Consequently sufficient segmentation method for particular parts of the temporo-mandibular joint (the condyle, the acetabulum and the articular disk) separation is chosen.
Interactive Medical Image Segmentation
Kříž, Radim ; Štancl, Vít (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This work deals with the possibilities of interactive segmentation of medical image data using a ITK library and segmentation method level-set. It discusses the possibilities of an interactive influencing of segmentation with user-defined edges and facilitate segmentation using modes allow automatic adjustment of parameters. An integral part of this work is user-friendly segmentation tool built on ITK library and segmentation method level-set, which clearly demonstrates the possibilities of modes and added edges in practice. Design and implementation of this tool is also part of this work.

Hatrinh, Hung Anh ; Richter, Miloslav (referee) ; Petyovský, Petr (advisor)
Překlad abstraktu (Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá segmentací buněk od obrazového pozadí a detekcí buněčných procesů v kvantitativních fázových obrazech získaných koherencí řízeným holografickým mikroskopem. Navržený algoritmus na segmentaci buněk využívá hranového detektoru watershedingu. Implemtován byl v programovacím jazyce C++ a využívá knihovny OpenCV. Detekce buněčných procesů je řešena metodami strojového učení v MATLABu.)
Application Control Using User Hand and Fingertips Gestures
Břenek, Martin ; Behúň, Kamil (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with creating the user interface element, which is used to control application by user hand and fingertips gesture. The text discuss the basics of computer vision and image segmentation principles. The thesis also focuses on analysis of task and solution design, describes implementation details, including used tools and includes test results of final solution.
Processing of X-Ray images in studying jawbone diseases
Kabrda, Miroslav ; Šmirg, Ondřej (referee) ; Mikulka, Jan (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is a method proposed for automated evaluation of the parameters of X-ray of cystic disorders in human jawbones. The main problem in medical diagnostic is the low repeatability due to the subjective evaluation of images without using a tool for image processing. In this thesis are described the basic steps of image processing, various methods of image segmentation and chosen segmentation method live-wire. Selected segments were processed in the ImageJ Java environment. In the cystic regions their basic statistical and shape properties were evaluated. The obtained values were used for learning the classification model (decision tree) in the environment RapidMiner. This model was used to create a plug-in for automatic classification of the type of cysts in the program ImageJ.
Extraction of arteries and veins from fundus image of human retina
Baláš, Ondřej ; Říha, Kamil (referee) ; Minář, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with methods of image segmentation and their use in the extraction of blood vessels of the eye from so called fundus images. For understanding the issue, various methods of segmentation, anatomical view of the eye, image processing and implementation are described on following pages. This thesis also contains a proposal of an application, programmed in JAVA, supported by OpenCV library for image processing. Final images from the application are compared to „golden standard“ images from public databases.
Detection of security aids in image signal
Burdík, Vojtěch ; Šmirg, Ondřej (referee) ; Přinosil, Jiří (advisor)
This work is devoted to the relatively new field of computer – computer vision. It focuses on the recognition of people, positioning and colour detection of clothing placed on person. The aim is to build an algorithm that would be able to locate the person in the picture and would make colours tests of clothing and helmets. For image processing were used OpenCV library functions and from algorithms was compiled program solving this problem. The output of the program is the answer, what colour is person at stated locations wearing, and if clothing and helmet are the same colour, the person is evaluated as properly dressed. The resulting program is then disassembled and parts of the code are in detail described in this work. There is explained how to use correctly each OpenCV function used in program.
Evaluation of targets in shooting range based on image data
Sujová, Sára ; Šťastný, Jiří (referee) ; Škrabánek, Pavel (advisor)
The thesis describes the design and implementation of a computer vision system for evaluating targets on the shooting range using image data. The program respects the restrictions based on safety measures established by the the shooting range manager and uses an uniform system of lighting and camera placement. The work consists of several parts. The first part is the creation of the dataset and its annotation. The second part is the creation of the program. The program includes a photo of the target, which is suitably edited and divided into sub-areas in the pre-processing phase. These sub-regions are then iteratively processed by the U-NET network, which produces segmentation maps that are subsequently combined into the resulting map. The positions of the detected shots are obtained from this map. In the last part of the program, a point evaluation of the shooting session is obtained.
Analysis of Retinal Image Data to Support Glaucoma Diagnosis
Advanced Image Edge Detection
Novák, Marek ; Nečas, Ondřej (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
Edge detection is one of the fundamental techniques used in the fields of image processing and computer vision. Goal of this thesis is an implementation and evaluation of chosen basic and advanced edge detection methods, including performance evaluation. Thesis describes implementation and performance evaluation of Linked Edges as Stable Region Boundaries method. Performance is evaluated using Berkeley Segmentation Data Set and Benchmarks 500 .
