Reduction of CentOS operating system
Vashkevich, Pavel ; Caha, Tomáš (referee) ; Komosný, Dan (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor's thesis is to perform a reduction of the Linux operating system. For minimalization was entered the Linux distribution CentOS 8, which is created on the basis of open-source code. This code are spread by Red Hat. The theoretical part describes the basic components of the operating system, including the Linux kernel, drivers and graphical interface. The practical part describes the suggestion of a method for minimizing the operating system. This method also includes a comparison of lightweight web browsers. The resulting size after reduction is 731 MB. Minimization automation software is published in the personal repository on GitHub under the MIT license.
Utilization of open source tools for access network monitoring
Gmitter, Jakub ; Sládok, Ondřej (referee) ; Grenar, David (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of access network monitoring, which is necessary to ensure the stability of access networks. It contains a comparison of suitable monitoring tools for their selection. The work is focused on creating scripts in the Bash language, which analyze data on the access network and implement outputs from selected monitoring tools. In this work were analyzed the transmitted packets and the achieved transmission speeds during monitoring. The final output of this work are databases created in MySQL, which contains data about the analyzed parameters and visualization of data analysis using the Grafana program. Graphs of the transmission speeds of monitoring and basic transmission statistics were created on panels during visualization.
Big Data Processing in Industry 4.0
Trubka, Jakub ; Fajčík, Martin (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with collecting, processing, and storing big data obtained from monitoring industry machines. The designed and implemented system focuses on extensibility and scalability attributes of the realised solution. The survey part of the text briefly describes existing solutions and discusses collecting and processing big industrial data. A special attention is also paid to the big data storage technology. The crucial part of the thesis then refers to the design and realisation of the system and its individual components, as well as its testing and final evaluation.
Scripts for configuration of Fedora operating system in PlanetLab
Czerner, Lukáš ; Burget, Radim (referee) ; Komosný, Dan (advisor)
This document describes tools and techniques for creating scripts for remote configuration of Fedora operating system, generally any unix-like operation system. Of course there is demonstration of using these scripts as well as description of functionality.
Scripts for Teaching Support
Mour, Lukáš ; Křivka, Zbyněk (referee) ; Dytrych, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis analyzes the problems of teaching - evaluation of student activities, especially the registration of students on team projects, creating rating tables, checking of completeness and formal correctness of their solutions or sending the final results back to the students. It describes the issues a proposes their automation. It also describes the implementation and final results.
System for Virtual Server Administration
Karban, David ; Čejka, Rudolf (referee) ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (advisor)
There is coming trend of virtualization on modern computers. One computer may act like host for several guest virtualized computers. This has many advantages, like for kernel development, software testing, virus behaviour testing, saving HW resources. On the other hand, complexity of computer maintenance is growing too. This bachelor thesis describes a system, that can be used for management of many virtual servers and lower the manageability overhead. This work will create a generic control interface for virtualized computers. Interface will be adaptable and extendible. The development of this system is described from specification through analysis to concept and implementation of application.
A Tool for Shell-Script Analysis
Holomek, Jiří ; Janoušek, Vladimír (referee) ; Smrčka, Aleš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with analysis of scripts. In the current distributions of Linux or other operating systems based on the Unix principals, there is made a lot of configuration by using scripts. The main objective of this work is to create a program that analyses the scripts and also reports theirs functionality and safety to a user. According to my research the work is aimed to Bash language.
Universal Metering Device for LTE Mobile Networks
Experimental network PlanetLab
Grejták, Matej ; Novotný, Vít (referee) ; Komosný, Dan (advisor)
This thesis deals with visualization of PlanetLab network nodes locations defined on a base map. Theoretical part is concerned with basic knowledge of PlanetLab network, its history and general terminology. Furthermore, Google Maps application programming interface is described, which base maps are used in this thesis. Also, other used technologies as JavaScript and Apache web server are covered in the theory, these technologies combined together create the whole structure of dynamic website. Practical part is dedicated to the visualization of nodes represented by map tags. It also explains main sections of a code used on the main page with brief server configuration guide.
Monitoring of Internet servers
Pospíchal, Ondřej ; Burget, Radim (referee) ; Komosný, Dan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the availability of devices and the availability of remote connection to devices via SSH in the network PlanetLab worldwide. The theoretical part consists of the description of the network PlanetLab, services ping and SSH, program environment, in which was the practical part made, and parallelization of processes, which was used during optimizing the program. The practical part describes the creation, functions and outputs of the application, which continuously tests servers in the network PlanetLab. Analyzing the results of the program it was found that the availability of PlanetLab devices is relatively stable, but unsatisfactory. More than half of the devices of this network do not respond to neither one of mentioned services.
