Practical Usage of Agile Methodologies

The thesis focuses on the applications of agile methodologies in actual business practice, especially in the marketing department. This thesis presents the theoretical foundations that describe the differences between the traditional concept of project management and agile methods. The other part consists of a comprehensive analysis of the current state of the company and the marketing department. The suggested part shows solutions of problems through the applications of agile methods that have been identified in the analytical part.

The diploma thesis deals with an establishment of the agile and project management implementation model in a software development. Thesis analyzes these approaches in a software development team of an international organization and presents a solution of their usages in a process improvement defined by the CMMI model in selected processes areas.
Application for Worktime Monitoring and Reporting

This bachelor thesis studies the management of software development, reporting and tracking work of developers. The basic ideologies for this thesis are agile methodologies Scrum and Kanban. The combination of the two is called Scrumban. The final result of this thesis is an intuitive web application called Scrumban Board, which offers a way for team management, planning tasks for teams and tracking efficiency of the development. The second part is a minimalistic application called Scrumban Client for the Windows operation system. This application offers an easy way of tracking work time.
System for Supporting Agile Project Management

This project is devoted to using of agile methodologies in the process of the web development. First, the most widely used traditional and agile methodologies of the software development are theoretically examined. Based on the identified procedures are chosen those that solve the biggest problems associated with the project management of the web development. From the findings is given a rough design of the system with usage of agile procedures. In the final part of the project is mentioned design implemented as the system prototype.

Práce se zabývá popisem tvorby mobilního systému pro monitoring zákaznické spokojenosti a sběr zpětné vazby od návštěvníků v restauracích s názvem Huerate. Komplexně jsou popsané všechny fáze vývoje systému. První část práce se zabývá analýzou existujících řešení a stavem na trhu. Následně jsou na základně komunikace s majiteli restaurací sestaveny požadavky na systém. Nakonec se práce věnuje samotnému návrhu systému, jeho implementaci a nasazení v restauracích. Systém Huerate běží jako webová aplikace a je dostupný na adrese http://huerate.cz. 
Upgrade of Agile Development Support Tool

The goal of the diploma thesis "Upgrade of agile development support tool" is to study agile methodologies and its use in practice. Thesis is focused on the Scrum framework used by The Corporate Technology department of Siemens, s.r.o. in Brno. Furthermore the thesis analyzes and compares the most used software support tools for agile methodologies which also gives an inspiration for the upgrade of support tool used by the department of Siemens. Thesis identifies possible upgrades based on an analysis with the goal to make agile development even more effective. Results were consulted with the representative of the Siemens company and then modules for Code review and Retrospective were chosen to implement. Implementation consists even of some minor upgrades of the tool. Goals of all implemented upgrades were to save time, optimize administrative work and make development even more effective. Benefits and further upgrades are consulted at the end of the thesis.
CMMI Certification for Software Development in Agile Environment

The goal of master thesis "CMMI Certification for Software Development in Agile Environment" is CMMI quality model research with focus on software development in agile environment in the Siemens company. In the beginning CMMI model and Scrum methodics are introduced. The core of this thesis is focused on the current state analysis. Output of the analysis is a list of potential areas that are currently not compatible with quality model requirements. These areas are to be improved for the company to achieve the desired CMMI certification level. Possible improvements are introduced to the consultant. During the implementation part a web application is realized helping to remove most of the identified imperfections. Application benefit is objectively evaluated by an internal audit. The work includes discussion of possible further application development and quality model standard evolution in this company.
ITIL in the Context of Agile Software Development Methodology Scrum

This thesis follows concept of integration ITIL library and agile methodology Scrum into the IT company developing IT services. After theoretical analysis of both concepts and analysis of chosen company, we will develope methodology, which will tie both process approaches and ensure their perfect synergy. As a methodology support, web application was developed. It evaluates effectivness of processes using key informations and their plot representation. Proposed methodology was presented in the AVG Technologies, which used described processes as template for its internal proceses. Main result of the thesis is set of templates describing processes, which could be specified and applied in companies using Scrum together with ITIL for their development.
Software Testing Organization and Methods

This document's objective is to propose a set of methods for improvement of the organization and methodology of software testing and subsequent application of those in a real environment of the Siemens CZ company. The first part discusses the development models in terms of testing segment and the following section focuses specifically on the methodology of agile testing and development as a whole, including applicable metrics for evaluating various aspects of software exiting the testing phase. The third major section lets the reader get acquainted with the Siemens organization and methods of their software testing and by analyzing real-world project it assesses the strengths and weaknesses of the particular testing process and its management. The practical part of this thesis lies in the design and implementation of a plug-in for the JIRA environment. This tool is able to identify and quantify the long term status of the project phases of agile development and testing in a clear and interactive way, while the outputs are represented by clearly defined problems that can be more easily treated, as one can argue further progress.
