Professional development of pedagogical staff in kindergartens - a case study

The topic of the thesis is professional development of pedagogical staff in a selected kindergarten - a case study. The thesis is primarily focused on the education of teaching staff in pre-school institutions. The motivation for the author of the thesis was her personal interest in current trends in the professional development of teaching staff and also the development of teaching staff she is responsible for in the kindergarten where she works. The author structured her thesis into theoretical and empirical parts. The theoretical part defines the key concepts mentioned in the thesis related to the professional growth of teaching staff in kindergartens, the competences of teaching staff and last but not least the risks associated with the professional growth of teaching staff. The empirical part maps the issues of professional development of pedagogical staff in the selected kindergarten, a semi-structured interview was used for the research, carried out with the head and teachers of the kindergarten. The paper examines the topic of the adaptation process of children starting at kindergarten. It generally focuses on methods and procedures used in adaptation processes that aim to facilitate children's adaptation. Theoretical findings relate to the adaptation process of preschool children. Qualitative research is then carried out. The theoretical part describes the developmental specifics of the preschool period. These are essential for understanding the behavior, experiences, and needs of preschool children. The role of the kindergarten institution and its influence on the child is mentioned, as well as the principle of adaptation itself. Adaptation is a significant change and stress, and for its successful progression (and the child's further life), the correct setting of the individual adaptation process is crucial. In this perspective, a large part is devoted not only to the role and experiences of a child but also to the influence of parents or lecturers in kindergarten. Mother of a preschool child in the role of a kindergarten teacher

The aim of this study is to investigate how women who are mothers of children aged between two and seven years and are also kindergarten teachers cope with the demands of both life roles. The thesis is divided into two parts, the theoretical and the practical one. The theoretical part contains chapters that deal with the history of pre-school teachers and the changes in motherhood in a historical context, teaching in kindergarten and motherhood today, the demands of both roles, the psychological and physical problems to which both mothers and teachers are prone, and the different ways and options for psychological hygiene. The practical part presents the results of the research investigation, which was carried out by quantitative research, specifically by questionnaire method. The following research problem was set: According to kindergarten teachers, what is the impact of motherhood on their professional life? The research sample consisted of kindergarten teachers who have a child or children between the ages of two and seven and who were also kindergarten teachers prior to their own motherhood.
Cooperation of a kindergarten teacher with other experts

The bachelor's thesis focuses on the specifics of cooperation between a kindergarten teacher and other pedagogical staff or experts. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to find out how both parties perceive their cooperation, what factors may influence their cooperation, either substantially or slightly, and what are the identified positives and negatives of their cooperation. The theoretical part deals with the knowledge about the profession of the kindergarten teacher and about other pedagogical staff and professionals who can collaborate with him/her. It outlines the competences, job description and main requirements for all these positions. The empirical part presents the collaboration between the kindergarten teacher and other pedagogical staff or professionals through qualitative research. The interviews point out the experiences of kindergarten teachers and other pedagogical staff or professionals in collaborating with each other, as well as how this collaboration is perceived by both parties.
The communication barriers between teachers and parents in nursery school

The bachelor thesis focuses on communication barriers between kindergarten teachers and parents of children. The aim of the thesis is to find out what barriers prevent the establishment of a partnership relationship between teachers and parents and what pitfalls affect the relevant transfer of information about children and events in kindergarten. The theoretical part is devoted to the concept of communication in general, its characteristics, division, actors of communication, principles of effective communication, methods of communication in kindergarten and deals with possible causes of unsuccessful communication on the part of the teacher and on the part of the parent. The practical part explores through a quantitative research investigation the most common methods of communication between educator and parent, identifies the barriers to communication and looks for possible solutions to prevent and remove the barriers found. The results of the questionnaire survey show that the biggest barrier in communication is the lack of time, which hinders the transfer of information between the two actors. The most frequent and most popular form of communication for teachers and parents is face-to-face meetings.
The impact of kindergarten teacher on the children from socially disadvantaged environment

The diploma thesis deals with kindergarten teachers who devote themselves to children from socially disadvantaged family backgrounds. It monitors the influence of teachers on a preschool child from this environment. The theoretical part elaborates on professional knowledge about preschool children, and the approach of kindergarten teachers to preschool children in the environment of kindergarten. It also concerns the socially disadvantaged family environment and its characteristics. It monitors the importance of kindergarten for these children. It processes information on the social and legal protection of children. Last but not least, it considers the issue of other helping professions. The practical part is focused on examining the experience and attitude of kindergarten teachers towards children from the environment mentioned above. It reveals the view of teachers on children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds in terms of the characteristics of the environment. Healthy lifestyle education as a part of pre-school children's life.

The bachelor thesis deals with education of a healthy lifestyle in preschool children. In the theoretical part, the concept of health is defined and the factors that could threaten it are summarized. Furthermore, general knowledge about a healthy lifestyle and its principles specific to the preschool period are briefly mentioned in the thesis as well. Attention is also given to the influence of the family environment, the kindergarten environment, their interaction with the child and to projects that can become a tool for health promotion in kindergartens. The aim of the practical part was to find out what parents' and teachers' attitudes towards healthy lifestyles are and whether they lead children to them. This was done through a questionnaire survey and semi-structured interviews. The results showed that both parents and kindergarten teachers lead children to a healthy lifestyle and in most cases try to live an active and healthy lifestyle themselves.
