Kostelánská, Dominika ; Klusák, Miroslav (advisor) ; Taušová, Jitka (referee)
The main aim of the study was to analyse the relationship between the phenomenon of orthorexia and self-objectification, with an emphasis on additional variables such as intuitive eating, gourmet eating, and indulgent eating. Furthermore, an analysis of the correlation between the individual dimensions of self-objectification, specifically the value of physical appearance, value of mental qualities, and value of physical fitness, was conducted. The research also focused on comparing the level of self-objectification and orthorexia across genders. Questionnaire survey was chosen as the primary method of data collection. The results suggest the existence of a relationship between orthorexic tendencies and self- objectification. Additionally, it was found that women score higher on the scale quantifying self-objectification compared to men. Orthorexia shows no association with intuitive eating or indulgent eating, but it does exhibit a weak positive correlation with gourmet eating. Self- objectification is not associated with intuitive eating but does show a relationship with indulgent eating. There was practically no relationship found between gourmet eating and self-objectification. The dimension value of physical fitness shows a positive correlation with the dimension value of mental qualities and...
Specifics of Ballet Environment as Potentially Risk Factors for the Development of Eating Disorders: Qualitative Analysis
Šimčáková, Markéta ; Vanek, Marián (advisor) ; Taušová, Jitka (referee)
Ballet is a risk environment for the development of eating disorders. At the same time there are specific risk factors that occur only in this environment. For these factors, a statistically significant relationship with risky eating behaviour has been proven. For the vast majority of ballet dancers, these factors induce dissatisfaction with the body. The aim of this study was to expand knowledge about these factors, with an emphasis on how they may affect ballet dancers and how ballet dancers may perceive, experience and respond to these factors. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews and two questionnaires and processed by thematic analysis method. The result is a description and interpretation of the 14 factors through the experience of ballet dancers, a hierarchical categorization of specific risk factors according to how they affect ballet dancers and a thematic map integrating the emerging topics at a higher level of abstraction. Based on the data analysis, the parent "superfactor" Ballet Ideal was identified, giving meaning to all other factors. Ballet dancers who do not fulfill the Ballet Ideal may be more vulnerable and prone to developing eating disorders. The impact of the risk factor on ballet dancers who do fulfill this ideal may be greatly diminished or eliminated....

Pletichová, Eliška ; Taušová, Jitka (advisor) ; Božík, Michal (referee)
ABCTRACT This thesis deals with psychological manipulation in partner relationships. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to explore the relationship between the manipulator and his victim. The theoretical part is divided into seven chapters, while the first chapter deals with the definition of the concept of psychic manipulation and its occurrence in society. The second chapter deals with the phases of the manipulative relationship, which are divided into the phase of idealization, the phase of appropriation and the phase of identity erosion. The third chapter deals with manipulative techniques. The fourth chapter is focused on the personality profile of the manipulator, where I did not deal only with the masks which the manipulator wears in society, but I also focused on his characteristic qualities and the question whether the manipulative individual is aware of his behavior and manipulative techniques and uses them consciously in order to gain consent. The fifth chapter is focused on the profile of the victim's personality. In this chapter, I focused not only on the typical qualities that victims usually possess, but also on the questions of why it is always so difficult for the victim to leave the relationship and what makes him or her stay in the relationship despite never-ending arguments and insults....

Divišová, Nikola ; Smetáčková, Irena (advisor) ; Taušová, Jitka (referee)
The diploma thesis focuses on the identity, gender experience, and social interactions of young nonbinary people in the Czech Republic. The research aims to contribute to filling a gap in Czech scientific literature and to improve our understanding of nonbinary people's experiences, which is necessary for psychological practice with nonbinary clients. In relation to this aim, the thesis has three objectives. To understand the concept of gender and one's own gender identity among young nonbinary persons in the Czech Republic. To explore what factors play a role in the choice of a label for one's gender identity and how nonbinary persons think about different identities. As for our final goal, we set out to explore the effects of choosing a specific label on social interactions. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on identity, nonbinary gender, language, and the social experiences of nonbinary people. As part of the empirical part, we conducted eleven interviews with non-binary people aged 18-23, which were then analysed using reflexive thematic analysis. This resulted in four themes: "I exist the way I want," "To make it easier," "It's an option," and "Relationship with masculinity and femininity." Based on our analysis, the research questions were then answered. The thesis showed that...
Level of perceived stress and the need to use social media among students on a study abroad placement
Šafář, Vojtěch ; Lukavská, Kateřina (advisor) ; Taušová, Jitka (referee)
This study aims to investigate whether studying abroad alters levels of perceived stress, loneliness, and the need to use social networks. Standardized questionnaires and a question on average daily screentime on social media were used to determine these variables for a group of students on a study abroad program and a group of students who were studying at their home university for a given semester. T-tests showed a statistically significant difference between these groups for the length of social media screentime and the loneliness variables, while no difference was shown for the perceived stress variable. Subsequently, the linear relationships between these variables were also tested, and except for the relationship between loneliness level and daily screentime on social media, all were proven to be statistically significant by correlation tests.
