Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na problematiku sebevražd u seniorů, často opomíjenou a nedostatečně prozkoumanou oblast. Teoretická část práce definuje koncept suicidality ve spojení se stárnutím a analyzuje různé aspekty této problematiky. Z historického hlediska je zkoumána percepce sebevraždy v antice a středověku a dílo Tomáše Garrigua Masaryka Sebevražda hromadným jevem společenským moderní osvěty. Dále jsou analyzovány příčiny sebevraždy a v rámci prevence sebevražd u seniorů je zvažován vliv médií a rodinného prostředí, stejně jako význam krizových linek. Praktická část studie zahrnuje kvalitativní výzkum formou rozhovorů, který reflektuje pohled různých věkových skupin na problematiku sebevražd seniorů. Součástí výzkumu je i účast sociálního pracovníka, který přináší odborný pohled na tuto oblast. Cílem práce je identifikovat příčiny sebevražd u seniorů a navrhnout účinná preventivní opatření. Dalším pomyslným cílem je i šíření osvěty o tomto problému, jelikož pomocí informovanosti společnosti je možné počty sebevražd u seniorů snížit. Výsledky této práce zahrnují poznatky o sebevražednosti seniorů, hodnocení úrovně povědomí společnosti v této oblasti a formulaci návrhů řešení. Z výzkumu vyplývá, že společnost má o této otázce nedostatečné povědomí a není připravena vždy adekvátně... This bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of suicides among elderly, which is often overlooked and insufficiently explored. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the concept of suicidality in connection with aging and analyzes various aspects of this issue. From a historical perspective, the perception of suicide in antiquity and the Middle Age is examined, as well as the work of Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk Sebevražda hromadným jevem společenským moderní osvěty. Furthermore, the causes of suicide are analyzed, and within the prevention of suicides among elderly, the influence of media and family environment is considered, as well as the importance of crisis hotlines. The practical part of the study includes qualitative research in the form of interviews, which reflects the view of different age groups on the issue of suicides among the elderly. The research also involves the participation of a social worker, who brings an expert perspective on this issue. The aim of the thesis is to identify the causes of suicides among the elderly and propose effective preventive measures. Another implicit goal is to raise awareness of this problem, as increasing societal awareness can help reduce the number of suicides among the elderly.
