Attitudes and experience of the university students with drugs of abuse

CHARLES UNIVERSITY IN PRAGUE FACULTY OF PHARMACY IN HRADEC KRÁLOVÉ ATTITUDES AND EXPERIENCE OF STUDENTS WITH ADDICTIVE SUBSTANCES: Attitudes of the third year undergraduate pharmacy students of Charles University in Hradec Králové towards the alcohol and tobacco Lucie Stejskalová This thesis investigates the attitudes, experience and knowledge of the third year undergraduate pharmacy students of Charles University in Hradec Králové in academic year 2005/2006 to legal addictive substances - alcohol and tobacco. It contains both theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part covers basic terms, possible reasons for students' drugs abuse, possibilities of drug addiction prevention, kinds of drug addiction and more detailed pharmacological information about alcohol and tobacco. The practical part is focused on anonymous questionnaire results interpretation. In the conclusion the recent results are being compared with the results of the similar study which was executed in the year 2000 at the same faculty. Gathered information is also collated with the results coming from different faculties (Prague and Brno) and ESPAD study. There were 190 students who took part in this research. Title: Product's offer of the cycling race Transbrody for sponsors Objectives: The main aim of this thesis is to innovate the offer of the Transbrody bike race to sponsors. Based on the processed analyzes of interviews and the survey, to design options how to improve the current offer and complement the current offer with new options and products for new sponsors and sponsorship packages or new sponsors. This work will serve for the cycling club as a proposal to increase the offer for sponsors for future years. Methods: The work has used both quantitative methods and qualitative methods. Among quantitative methods, an electronic questionnaire survey designed for the sponsors of the race was used. As a qualitative method the method of semi- structured questionnaire with the marketing director of the race was used. Results: Based on an interview with the marketing director of the Transbrody race and a questionnaire survey for sponsors, it turned out that the sponsors of the race would also welcome a change in the current offer. It turned out that the organizers do not use sponsorship packages at all and do not work with sponsorship activation. It was recommended to create these packages. Ex-post evaluace projektu Přestupní terminál Třebíč

This Bachelor's Thesis is engaged in an ex-post evaluation of the public investment project Transfer Terminal Třebíč which took place between 2010-2015 by virtue of financial means provided from the Regional Operational Programme NUTS II Southeast. The work is divided into two parts - a literature search and an application part, both supplemented with work methodology. Within the literature search, the author first describes the principals of regional and structural politics between 2007-2013, with a focus on the Regional Operational Programme NUTS II Southeast. The next chapter deals with the area of public projects and their project cycles. In the conclusion of this part, the author focuses on problems of evaluation in the public sector. The application part deals with the project characteristics and its evaluation using the CUA method together with questionnaire surveys supplemented with information obtained from dialogues with the participating parties. The conclusion of this Bachelor's Thesis makes recommendations addressed to the stem project team, which might be useful during realizations of similar projects in the future.

From the public art museum to a small non-commercial gallery

This diploma thesis focuses on the topic of the gradual development of European art exhibition institutions whose modern stage dates to the early 19th Century and continues to the present. The characterization of the beginning of this modern phase is generally associated with the commencement of establishing first public art museums. The thesis will outset from this period in art history and focus on the linear evolution of art exhibition institutions to its present form. The thesis comments on an institutional change of exhibition space which is not perceived as a separate and socially independent process. On the contrary the work puts this gradual transformation into social, political and cultural contexts. Through the topic of modern institutional criticism the thesis moves to address contemporary European trends which severely affect the very specific environment of Czech exhibition institutions. The primary institutional structure, which was formed by the public demand and national unification, is here put into context of the current Czech situation which in response to the current official art institutions reacts by establishing small galleries which operate on a community basis.

PharmDr. Petr Pávek, Ph.D. Title of Doctoral Thesis Gene expression regulation of biotransformation enzymes and transporters in placental barrier Placenta is a unique organ facilitating the communication between mother and fetus. It serves as a respiratory, excretory, endocrine and metabolic organ during intrauterine development of the fetus and is necessary for maintenance of pregnancy and for the fetal protection. Syncytiotrophoblast is a single layer that represents the critical morphological and metabolic component of the placental metabolic and exchange barrier. The placental trophoblast contains multiple drug transporters and metabolizing enzymes that form placental metabolic barrier. The levels of the enzymes are not stable and fluctuate throughout pregnancy. Most of the enzymes are expressed at very low mRNA levels, however, in some cases there is absence of any relevant detectable protein or catalytic activity. Cytochrome CYP1A1 is the only placental xenobiotic-metabolizing enzyme of the cytochrome P450 superfamily for which significant expression and catalytic activity have been conclusively demonstrated in placental trophoblasts...

Název: Mediální obraz zimních olympijských her v Turíně - zaměření na gender tématiku v českých denících News from winter Olymp Games were broadcasting - Czech journalist writers where interested in gender them Cíl práce: Tato práce se soustředí na zhodnocení mediálního obrazu zimních olympijských her v Turíně a klade důraz na gender tématiku v různých typech tištěných deníků. Následně pak na porovnání, jakým způsobem se tyto prezentace odlišují ve specializovaném, bulvárním a seriózním tisku. Metoda: Výzkum byl prováděn pomocí kvantitativní analýzy sdělení (textů a obrázků) prezentovaných ve sportovním deníku Sport, bulvárním deníku Blesk a seriózním deníku Mladá Fronta DNES a to v období od jednoho dne před zahájením zimních olympijských her, až do jednoho dne po ukončení těchto her. Výsledky: Výsledky popisují, jakým způsobem byly zimní olympijské hry v Turíně prezentovány v jednotlivých typech českých deníků a následně tyto prezentace porovnávají. The analysis of management and transparency of non-profit sports organizations in the Olomouc Region

The main goal of this thesis is to analyze the management and transparency of nonprofit nongovernmental organizations focused on physical education and sport. The first part is devoted to theoretical bases, particularly the definition of the nonprofit sector. Also there is described the structure of sources and expenditures. Finally is described transparency in economy of aforementioned NGOs. The practical part focuses on an online survey of transparency and assessment of the amount of publicly available information on non-profit sports clubs. The second part analyzes in detail the management and organizational structure chosen sports clubs.

Financial analysis of company Zdenek Pecha

The main objective of this thesis is to determine and evaluate overall economic situation of the company Zdenek Pecha from the managerial point of view. This company is engaged in providing public catering. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part is theoretical, where I explain the financial analysis in general and then the methodical apparatus. The second part is the practical part, where I apply the knowledge gained in the theoretical part on the practical illustration. In the practical part I try to summarize the overall economic situation of the company in period of years 2007-2011. In conclusion of this thesis I evaluate results found in the practical part.
