Control of selected water management system for using optimization model

The bachelor´s thesis is focused on the control of selected water system optimization model. The optimization model is created using SOMVS. The optimization model is created for a different number of time steps. The functionality of the optimization model is verified on the selected from a number of real average monthly flows. Application of the prediction model on the control of selected reservoir system

The diploma thesis is focused on verifying the success of prediction models mean monthly flows for strategy control storage function of water management system. The success of prediction models is tested during three different periods. To determine the predicted inflows into the reservoirs is applied to the generator artificial flow series LTMA using the Monte Carlo method and the classical model of neuron networks. During the solution is applying the principles of adaptive control. The adaptive control is compared with simple control for improved outflow.
Lexical Elatives in Spanish and in Czech

(English) This thesis deals with the issue of Spanish and Czech lexical elatives. It describes in which types of texts they most frecuently occur, whether they appear more often in the comparative form or in the superlative form, it compares a frequency of their occurrence in both languages. Regarding Spanish elatives, the thesis describes methods of their translation into the Czech language. Theoretical part generally discusses adjectives, their types and graduation of adjectives. It also deals with the concept of lexical elative. Theoretical part is based on the information of the Spanish Royal Academy and on the language theories of the Spanish and Czech linguists who deal with the topic of adjectives. Analytical part compares the use of 6 selected elatives in Spanish and in Czech, offers ways of translating Spanish elatives to Czech and analyzes texts in which stated elatives occur. Analytical part also includes particular examples of graduated elatives from corpus, possibly their Czech translations. Elatives were analyzed by using data in the InterCorp formed by Spanish/Czech originals and in the CORPES XXI. Education of volunteers in non-profit organizations in the field of social work

The bachelor thesis is focused on education of volunteers in non-profit organizations, specifically on educational activities for volunteers in organiza-tions providing social welfare services. It considers volunteering to be means of development both on the individual level and the level of the whole society. The text includes education of volunteers in the context of volunteering and volunteer management and classifies its position within the conception of the lifelong education. This thesis doesn't present complete data about education in the whole range of social service volunteerism, that is anyway almost impossible due to the highly various, informal and spontaneous character of this area. But it explains education of volunteers in wider context, summarizes theoretical knowledge, brings inspiration and practical examples. A significant part of the text concentrates on the preparation of volunteers for their engagement (which means the entry-level volunteer training), as this is the most important element of the volunteer education. The other chapters deal with the legal status of volunteerism, volunteerism in the social welfare services, motivation to volunteer, further education of volunteers and the role of volunteer centers.
Application of games in adult education

This diploma work examines certain aspects of using games as a tool for adult training and development. The work first defines the term "game" and lists examples of possible uses of games as an educational tool with a focus on adult individuals in corporate training. Other parts of the work describe the conditions for using games as a tool for developing key skills and include details regarding the expectations of instructors and participants for effective use of development games and other influencing factors. Another part of the text focuses on participants in development as a social group with its own inherent rules and internal processes. The final part lists conditions and procedures for reverse processing of the course of the game in a way that fulfills its development potential and enables the game to serve as a benefit to the group of participants for their experience and therefore fulfill set educational goals. The concluding part of the work gives two illustrative examples of experience with the method, which point out potential problems that could arise if games are not used properly. This work does not examine the process of preparing and conducting games. The main topic of this thesis is work with a group when conducting a game and after a game has ended.
Selection of top managers and specialists in co-operation with human resources consulting companies

The aim of this work is to introduce co-operation with external human resources consulting (HRC) companies in selection of top managers and specialists, and thus to help organisations in decision making whether to co-operate with them and suggest the best way of co-operation. The first chapter is dedicated to characteristics of manager, his added value for the company, role and competences. The second chapter describes two types of HRC companies (Recruitment Agencies and Executive Search firms) differing in methodology of candidate acquisition and selection. In this chapter is described as well the Assessment Centre as an objective tool for candidate selection. The third chapter comprehensively introduces the process of selection in HRC companies specialised to top managers search only (Executive Search). The fourth chapter indicates the main advantages and disadvantages of co-operation with HRC companies including recommendations of suitable rules for a smooth co-operation between the client and HRC companies.
Employee selection, appraisal and development by means of the assessment centre

The aim of this study is to clarify that is the Assessment Centre method, it's theoretical background and to focus on psychodiagnostic methods and their suitability for usage in Assessment Centre. Close attention is paid to expected future for this method. First part of this study is focused on definition of the method, usage areas and theoretical background. Measuring for the method effectiveness is important for standardization procedure. For that reason is study aimed on criterias that needs to be measured. The main attention is paid to diagnostic tools used in Assessment Centre. The final part is focused on program realization process.
Retraining

This bachelor work has been focusing on retraining as a tool of active unemployment policy. The work is approaching it from the wider context of job market situation and also as a part of state measures against the unemployment. The emphasis is on unemployment, its definition, consequences and effects of long term unemployment. The introduction focuses at the importance of education in the modern society and theory of human capital, then the work explores the job market, especially job market in the Czech Republic and its development after 1989. Next section studies incidence of active employment policy, its goals and tools. Explanation of labour offices' characteristics follows together with a small excursion to their history and space is also dedicated to job seeker's view of consultation process. Finally, the conclusion deals with issues of retraining with an emphasis on their legal definition, participants and effects.
The use of psychodiagnostic methods for the employees' assessment

The main focus of this bachelor's thesis is to present the applications and conditions of using psychodiagnostic methods for employee assessment. A detailed discussion of the use of the competency model as one way of identifying the new employee requirements is presented. The thesis further focuses on describing individual psychodiagnostic selection methods, their advantages and their limits. The thesis explains some of the ethical aspects of using those methods and it emphasizes the key characteristics of the psychodiagnostic methods used in the selection process. Attention is placed on the importance of psychodiagnostic methods being administered by a professional to achieve the full benefits and avoid the potential risks. The last part of this thesis illustrates how employee assessment could be done using psychodiagnostic methods. These methods are used in the context of the competency model which has been created based on requirements of the chosen company.
