The thesis titled Development of competitiveness of company deals with arrangements for a café in the city center leading to the strengthening of its competitiveness. First, it analyzes the internal and external environment and evaluates customer satisfaction questionnaire. The results of these analyzes are summarized in the SWOT analysis. Based on the information measures are proposed, which should contribute to increasing the competitiveness of the company.

The first part focuses on the necessary theoretical data. The second part presents a philosophy of the day-care centre, market analysis, customer, competitors and SWOT analysis. The communication mix is proposed on the basis of the analyses and it will be effective for the day-care centre for gaining awareness in the market with the lowest cost possible.

The diploma thesis is focused on strategy proposal for small sweet shop. It attempts to suggest changes, that would have helped in the sweet shop further development. For that it uses theoretical knowledge, especially enviromental analyses of the firm. With this tools thesis evaluates current state of the sweet shop and suggests changes. The thesis contains suggestions for the development in the spheres of promotion, distribution and product.

Modern methods of directional image representation

Transformation methods are used to describe the image based on defined shapes, which are called bases or frames. Thanks to these shapes it is possible to transform the image with the help of calculated transformation coefficients and further work with this image. It is possible to image denoising, reconstruct the image, transform it and do other things. There are several types of methods of the image processing. In this field a significiant development could be seen. This study is focused on analysis of characteristics of individual well known methods of transformation such as Fouriers´s or Wavelet´s. For comparison, there are also new chosen methods of transformation described: Ripplet, Curvelet, Surelet, Tetrolet, Contourlet and Shearlet. Functional toolboxes were used for comparison of individual methods and their characteristics. These functional toolboxes were modified for the possibility of limitation of transformation coefficients for their potential use in subsequent reconstruction.

Vliv struktury temperátního lesa na jeho dynamiku

Martin Mucha: Effect of the temperate forest structure on forest dynamics. A main goal of the study was examination of the effect of the two temperate coppice forest structures, micro-relief and nutrient content of soil on coppice dynamics. Rich literature on coppice forests was studied before a literature list has been compiled. In practical part of the study, increment cores and soil samples were taken from oak and hornbeam trees on 46 experimental forest plots owned by Istanbul University. Based on radial increments measured, statistically significant effect of management-based structure, mic-rorelief and soil nutrient content in a soil was examined. The main increment of trees growing on top plateau was significantly higher than increment of trees growing on south and north-facing slopes. The main increment of coppice with uneven structure (abandoned coppice) was significantly different from actively managed coppice oak stands. In addition, effect of different soil nutrient content was not significant.
