Spalová, Michaela ; Županič, Jan (advisor) ; Dvořáková, Markéta (referee)
This thesis deals with the primogeniture (the Hluboká and Krumlov Branch) of the distinguished Schwarzenberg dynasty of princes. The division of the dynasty into the primogeniture (the Hluboká and Krumlov Branch) and the secundogeniture (the Orlík Branch) occurred in 1802 by virtue of the stipulation of the last will of Ferdinand of Schwarzenberg from 1703. The Schwarzenberg's primogeniture owned an extensive landed property, whose greatest part was situated on the territory of Bohemia. Its members were renowned mainly for being exceptionally capable landlords who succeeded in creating a perfectly sophisticated economic system on their estates, belonging among the most advanced in Europe at the time. Their activity culminated in the second half of the 19th century and also at the beginning of 20th century. However, the ensuing years were not so successful for the Hluboká and Krumlov Schwarzenberg Branch. After the origination of an independent Czechoslovakia, the family lost a great part of their property in Bohemia due to a land reform. During the Second World War, their entire property was confiscated by Gestapo on behalf of the Greater German...

Dvořáková, Markéta ; Přibil, Rudolf (advisor) ; Braniš, Martin (referee)
Modern civilization is dependent on the production of energy. But there are only two energy sources that can cover our energy needs: the energy produced by burning fossil fuels and the energy produced by nuclear fission. People are afraid of nuclear accidents and storage of radioactive waste in relation with the use of nuclear energy. My work focuses on the risk of a nuclear accident, which is demonstrated on the Chernobyl nuclear accident. There were obsolete types of nuclear reactors at Chernobyl. The staff, which serviced the power plant, was inadequately prepared for the experiment. A lot of radionuclides released into atmosphere after the explosion at Chernobyl. They affected mainly the near area from the power plant. There was announced the thirty kilometers large Zone of Alienation. My work deals with the consequences of the accident at Chernobyl for environment - health effects for people and the exposure to animals and plants in the near but also in farther area from the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.

Traditions of Czech Merano
Hrušková, Šárka ; Dvořáková, Markéta (advisor) ; Dvořáková, Michaela (referee)
The reason why I choose this topic was the fact that I haven't managed to find any comprehensive overview of local traditions and habits and also that I have been living in this area all my life and so I have many findings of my own to use. There are new traditions raising in recent years and also some of the old ones are beeing revived. The aim of this thesis is to discover and note the traditions, which were held in the past and also the traditions that are new. At first we look at the Czech Merano area, describe it's nature characteristics, history and some of the famous people, who came from there. Then there is a list of concrete traditions split into groups by its type - from the historical traditions based on folk and christian holidays to the modern ones. It also reminds some of the extincted traditions. There also is a remark of the local chronicle, which has been an important source of information. In the conclusion there is a short notice about the contribution of this work and some of the possibilities of it's utilization in practice.
