Educational envinronment of Waldorf preschool in Prague with its philosophical starting point

This exploratory case study is focused on the educational environment and the school climate in one particular Waldorf preschool in Prague. Emphasis of the research was oriented towards the original philosophical basis of Rudolf Steiner, who invented Waldorf education in the early 20th century. The goal of this study was to underpin the specific environment and point out the way, in which the principles of Steiner education are demonstrated in the environment. Within the qualitative research method I have created complex questionnaires for two groups of respondents: parents and teachers. In the creation of the questionnaires I have utilized my own experience form the environment and my knowledge of Waldorf theory and theory of climate. The questionnaires have created a template with predefined codes. After the respondents answered the questionnaires, the codes than got their unique characterizations. The output of this study is a defined elementary hypothesis about functioning and affecting of the environment and the climate from the viewpoint of the two groups of respondents. Scope of responsibilities of a teaching assistant at primary schools

The diploma thesis "The work of a teaching assistant in primary schools" deals with the work of a teaching assistant and his cooperation and communication with other participants in the educational process such as parents, teachers and pupils with special educational needs and the assistant was assigned to them. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts and laws related to the profession of a teaching assistant. An integral part of this work is to get acquainted with the basic activities of a teaching assistant, his position in classes and schools. In this profession, there has been a change in the decree on the education of pupils with special educational needs, which is described here. There are also funding opportunities, an idea of the current state of assistants in Czech education and the procedure of each school headmaster, how to apply for assistants. The empirical part deals with the methodology of the research survey, the method of which is in the form of a questionnaire and an interview. The aim is to find out the work of a teaching assistant with an emphasis on the cooperation of a teaching assistant and a teacher at common lower secondary school. Children's centre as a freetime activity for parents and their children

This paper describes the issue of women on maternity leave from diferent perspectives, such as a woman's position in society, her relationship with a partner, her financial situation, her possition in the work place and the raising of children. We also describe the operation of children's centres in general and the organization and activities of one particular children's centre. The aim of this work is to test the hypothesis that the activities at a specific children's centre can eliminate feelings of social and psychological isolation of mothers on maternity leave. A further aim is to show to what extend the activities of a particular children's centre satisfy the needs of its current users.
