Lexicon Evaluation of Preschool Children

The diploma thesis Lexicon Evaluation of Preschool Children is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part of this work on speech therapy describes within four chapters the Czech vocabulary, psychological development of children up to the school maturity, speech development also up to the school maturity and finally presents diagnostic materials used in the Czech Republic for school maturity diagnostics and diagnostics of the lexical-semantic speech level. The practical part includes a quantitative research performed on children respondents in preschool classes in maternity schools. The main goal of this speech-therapy research was the modernization and verification of a testing set aimed at active vocabulary. The main reason was the fact that there is a lack of any adequate material for testing vocabulary in the Czech Republic. The new testing set could be also used as a subtest for school maturity diagnostics. The research conclusions were compared with the real situation of the tested children as referred by their teachers. As a part of the practical part there is the establishment of the research aims and hypotheses, and subsequently the research description, verification of the established hypotheses and definition of research conclusions. Application of film and fiction at school as a possibility of influencing pupil's attitudes

Methods aimed thesis deals with theme of attitudes, stereotypes and prejudices and possibilities of its influencing by films and fiction. It presents four lessons which process on their basis issues of exclusivity in children group, disability, racism and religious tolerance. The goal of these lesson is to support pupil's values of plurality, diversity and tolerance. These lessons take advantages of activation educational methods and methods of Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking programme. Lessons were applied in primary school classes. Their effectivity was find out using questionnaires filled in before and after the lessons. Thesis also processes written experiences with lessons, which were given by pupils and teachers. Recommendations for the next using of suggested lessons are thus outcomes of this thesis.
Comparative analysis of the Czech and French law of employment of foreigners and posting of workers and analyses of the relevant legal terminology

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare Czech and French legislations concerning posting of workers, and to make a bilingual glossary of the terms from this field. This piece of writing is divided into a theoretical part and a practical one. The theoretical part incorporates a brief introduction to the labour law and the law of the European Union. Furthermore, the legislations of posting of workers within the European Union, the Czech Republic and France are described. Based on this description, the theoretical part is terminated by a comparative analysis of Czech and French legislations. The practical part contains a brief introduction to the language of law. The core of the practical part is an analysis of the key terms in the field of posting of workers, especially their translation from Czech to French. The practical part is terminated by a Czech-French glossary containing the terms whose translations have been looked up. The whole work is finished by a French summary.
Coping with Stress in Parents of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder

in English: This diploma thesis is focused on parents coping with the burden of having children with autism spectrum disorder. It's goal is to analyze parent's strategy to cope with such burden in relation to taking care of a child with autistic spectrum disorder. Thesis is constructed as an emprical qualitativeresearch which also involves quantitative data. Data were acquired via half - structured interviews with parents of children with autism spectrum disorder.Furthermore, a questionnaire SVF 78 "Strategy of stress management" was used and filled out by the parents. The data were subsequently qualitatively analyzed and interpreted using content analysis. Finally, a comparison to specialized literature was performed. The text of the thesis itself is composed of three parts. First part includes theoretical solutions that are based on both Czech and foreign literature concerned with autism theory and coping with stress of parents bringing up an autistic child. Second part is focusing on the methodology and data analysis procedure. The final third part is dedicated to the interpretation of interviews and discussion results, combined with results of available literature research. Story of educated Romany lady

Bachelor's thesis "Story of an educated Romany lady" is concerned with the issue of Romany education. In essence, thesis mainly consists of a case study of one Romany lady who, unlike most of the Romani citizens in the Czech Republic, managed to struggle through the Czech educational system up to the university studies. The goal of the study is to become familiar with the subject and to describe important motivational forces in subject's life that led to the desire for being educated. For this reason, the methodological perspective is qualitative. Data were collected via half-structured interviews and the "Axis of Life" method. Subsequently, all data were analyzed and interpreted in the context of specialized literature. Thesis is divided to three main parts - theoretical, methodological and empirical. Sources used in the theoretical part cover various fields, such as psychology, ethnology, anthropology, pedagogy and sociology. Given sources mainly focus on the issue of education of Romany minority children and problem with identity, especially cultural and ethnical identity of Romany minority. First aid in the biological curriculum at secondary schools

The main aim of my diploma thesis was a didactical analysis of the theme First aid in the biological curriculum at secondary schools and creation of a project specializing on the first aid education. This project offers the teachers a way how to approach the first aid education. In the chapter Theoretical Background the problems of first aid in the biology curriculum and text books are mentioned. It also deals with the history of first aid and with educational methods appropriate for first aid education. This part focuses on various didactical methods used in the project, especially on the activating and the verbal ones. In the main part of my diploma thesis I am proposing a project consisting of four parts: theoretical preparation, training of first aid, training of first aid with the application of situational methods, a contest with a test. In the course of the project students should acquire the basic skills necessary for the right treatment of injuries and casualties. My thesis also includes appendices: a test, a completed test, graphs showing the rate of students{\crq} success in the test and photos taken during the realisation of the project.
Work-Life Balance in an international context

Work-life balance is often a discussed topic in most industrialized countries. Many employees are dissatisfied with working hours, high labor intensity and stress at work. A large number of employees would prefer flexible working hours, part-time, which would lead to better opportunities for reconciling work and family life. Individuals are trying to find a balance between professional and personal interests, some are even forced to decide whether to give priority to family and private life. Thesis deals with different work-life balance policies and programs, problems of gender differences and equal opportunities. It examines how the Czech Republic is able to juggle family and work life. It focuses on the status of women in the labour market, including historical context, the individual programs and policies that promote the harmonization of personal and professional sphere. The practical part analyzed the situation in selected countries and the paper is also engaged in various international companies in which I used structured interviews with HR representatives and other staff examined the possibility of work-life balance and the differences between the situation in the Czech affiliates and the mother country.
