Množení okrasných dřevin s využitím mykorhizy
Svobodová, Kateřina
The aim of my thesis was experimental prove of the influence of mycorrhizal product in the production of nursery propagation by herbaceous cuttings. On trial were selected three plant species, Deutzia gracilis 'Nikko', Forsythia x intermedia 'Maluch' and Syringa meyeri 'Palibin'. The experiment was based on two dates, and was conducted of the Institution of cultivation and reproducing of garden plants of Garden faculty of the Mendel University in Lednice. Evaluation was carried out in two variants, after three repetitions. The first variant was a control without mycorrhizal product, the second was supplemented with mycorrhizal fungi. It evaluated the number of roots, number of branched roots, cuttings and mortality rate of colonization. Differences in rooting and branching roots were among species, and between terms. The positive effect of mycorrhizal fungi was at Deutzia gracilis 'Nikko' and Forsythia x intermedia 'Maluch'.
Development of the Gaza Strip in the Context of Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
Svobodová, Kateřina ; Havlová, Radka (advisor) ; Burešová, Jana (referee)
This bachelor thesis follows the development of the Gaza Strip during the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The first part is focused on the history of the conflict with emphasis placed on the events that influenced the analysed area. In the next chapter, events of the 21st century that affected the current situation and living conditions in this area were discussed, namely the Israeli unilateral disengagement from Gaza, economic blockade imposed by Israel on the Gaza Strip, and three military operations that Israel executed in this territory during the ongoing blockade. The consequences of the blockade and military actions have thrown the examined area into a state that is on the edge of inhabitability Attention is also paid to the Palestinian political scene, namely to the rise of the Islamist Hamas movement and the increasing rivalry between the Fatah and Hamas factions. It is precisely the internal problems and instability of the Palestinian leadership that are currently among the obstacles to finding a peaceful solution to the whole Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Diet by gestational diabetes mellitus
Svobodová, Kateřina ; Flekač, Milan (advisor) ; Šoupal, Jan (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with gestational diabetes mellitus, mainly delicated to risk factors and dietary restriction before and during pregnancy. The aim of this work is to identify potential risk factors that could affect the eventual progression of gestational diabetes. Most of my hypotheses are specifically related to this objective. The partial aim is a level of women's awareness about this disease. My work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is a collection and summarization of the available current information about gestational diabetes. GDM is a disorder of carbohydrate tolerance, which is diagnosed in pregnancy by a screening examination (usually at 24 - 28 weeks), and it disappears in postnatal period. There are many severe risks for the woman and the fetus during the pregnancy and after childbirth. There is also a high risk of emergence of type 2 diabetes in the future. Primary treatment is an adjustment food and life style. Diet system is regulated in amount of carbohydrate intake and distribution into multiple smaller doses. If this is not sufficient, the onset of insulin therapy is necessery. The practical part is focused on comparison, usage a retrospective analysis of medical history data based on of a questionnaire surfy. There was two groups of...
Circumcision in Indonesian archipelago from an anthropological perspective
Svobodová, Kateřina ; Pokorný, Ondřej (advisor) ; Petrů, Tomáš (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to introduce phenomena of woman and man circumcision in historical and culture context in Indonesian archipelago. First part is about theoretical perception of circumcision. I will focus mostly on typology, history and geography. Second part will be about circumcision in Indonesia. Firstly I will concentrate on history of circumcision in the archipelago, which is known due to notes of Europe missioners during colonialist period. Then I will describe the most important reasons, which are religion and initiation. After that I will target on circumcision in present Indonesia and on social and culture impact caused by this practice. Last, but not least I will describe selected ethnics which still practice man circumcision.
The relation between microbial diversity and biodegradation of organic pollutants in soils
Adámek, Michael ; Svobodová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Matyska Lišková, Petra (referee)
This work sums up the knowledge of the currently studied microorganisms capable of degradation of organic compounds contaminating soil and of the impact of biodiversity on biodegradation efficiency. As documented in many studies effective soil remediation can be achieved by mixed-species consortia isolated from polluted soils. However, use of these cultures for bioaugumentation requires further research on their influence on the biodiversity of autochthonic soil microflora. Though bioaugumentation provably affects bioremediation effectivity no ideal carrier for microbes has been found yet that would provide survival of the introduced organisms in the competitive soil environment. Next, selection of suitable bioaugumentation agents should be based on previous analyses of autochthonic microbes in the targeted contaminated soils. Further, this work shows that the presence of key species might be more important for the biodegradation efficiency than biodiversity of soil microflora. Biodiversity is more related to the functionality of soil ecosystems which can be affected by the presence of contaminants leading to positive selection of taxa capable of pollutant degradation. However, there are just a few studies on the relationship between biodiversity and degradation of pollutants. Its further research...

Determination of vitamin B12 by flow analysis with chemiluminiscent detection
Svobodová, Kateřina ; Hraníček, Jakub (advisor) ; Rychlovský, Petr (referee)
This thesis reports determination of vitamin B12 by flow techniques of analysis. This method is based on luminol-peroxide chemiluminiscence assay for the detection of cobalt (II) ions in vitamin B12 molecules. The method includes releasing of Co2+ from the vitamin B12 using different types of its decomposition; these are mentioned in this thesis. The efficiency of the decomposition of real samples of vitamin B12 in this study reached 74.43 %. The high efficiency was achieved with 1.5 mmol.l-1 K2S2O8 and irradiation time 1 minute. In the FIA mode, the linear range obtained was between 1.0 to 500 mg.l-1 with a relative standard deviation (RSD) 2.59% (n = 10), limit of detection (LOD) 55 µg.l-1 . The minimum sample volume required and the time of analysis were 60 µl and 140.2 s. In the SIA mode, the linear range obtained was between 0.01 to 50 mg.l-1 with an RSD = 4.5% (n = 10), LOD = 25 µg.l-1 . The minimum sample volume required and the time of analysis were 250 µl and 80.1 s. Interference study showed that from wide range of interfering ions were selected only Ni2+ , Zn2+ and NO2 - , that from concentration level 50 mg.l-1 they significantly affect the determination of the Co2+ in solution. The intensity of chemiluminiscence most suppress ion Zn2+ . The solution with the concentration ratio of Co2+...
