Sára Vondrášková- Patterns in cultural performance- abstract The subject of this thesis is a theoretical analysis of chosen factors which influence creative process that leads to an art work. Theese factors are comprehended as patterns that determine this process and their origin and function is studied by different approaches. The first part deal with time as an element, restitutional and reductional approach according to Borecký and Apollonian and Dionysian concepts according to Nietzsche. The second part is dedicated to the impact of technology and emotions on the character of an art work and it deals with their influence on a form and effect of the art work. Thesis deals with the history and influence of exotic artifacts to the cultural sphere in the central European state- Czech Republic. Defines and classifies the categories of exotic art and describes their impact on our area of collecting, art and science. Particular attention is devoted to the Czech interest in the exotic art in the sphere of collectors and art.

Cultural Aspects of Cartographic Creation: Use of Mental Maps in Cross-cultural Research Abstract: Diploma thesis deals with study of interdisciplinary issue of cultural aspects of cartographic creation. The first part of the work consists of theoretical introduction dealing with the map con- tent, map stylistics and map language, in which maps show the greatest cultural differences. The map figures here in a role of the image of reality and visual manifestation of culture. The analogy between a map and a classical language (linguistic anthropology) and the analogy between early maps and primitive cultures' maps are described. Beside the language, as determinants of the human spatial perception and other categories related to the map creation could be mentioned the environment, the experiences and the society, in which man lives. Several examples of so- called cultural map styles, especially from Australia and Oceania, are introduced as well. In the methodical part of the work in connection with cultural-anthropological research a method of cognitive maps, respectively mental maps of map users and map makers is discussed in detail. Spaniards captured by Czech culture. A comparative study of Spanish teachers and managers in today's Czech Republic

Job migration is a very developed phenomenon in the world today. After 1989 many foreigners from all over the world started coming to the Czech Republic. Also the mutual relations between Spain and the Czech Republic began to reinforce in all aspects. It was not only Spanish tourists who came to Czech Republic but also university students, specialized workers and businessmen, who came for longer periods. Moreover, after the entry of the Czech Republic to the European Union the process of employing foreigners became even easier for European Union citizens. Nowadays there is a Spanish minority living in the Czech Republic. This minority is formed mainly by men, official statistics (to May 31st, 2008) allege 498 persons. Spanish people in the Czech Republic live mainly in Prague (because of the biggest job market, seat of business of many companies and schools.) This work deals with the adaptation strategies of Spanish teachers of Spanish language to the conditions in the Czech Republic. The aim was to find out how the process of adaptation of the chosen group proceeds. The issue of this work is the process of establishing and transformation of cultural identity by migrants and aliens, above all by asylům seekers in the Czech Republic, within the process of acculturation. In the work are included analyses of processes of acculturation and integration in diachronic and synchronic perspectives. Befallen are both globál trends and local conditions in the Czech Republic in the political, sociál and cultural field. Construed work tries constructively deal with the problém of various discourses of integration and migration in different countries of European Union and in the Czech Republic. This discourse is described in his own historical progress included all of the influences and it is indicated his nearest progress in the future as well. The main theme of this work remains the ontological, psychological, sociál and cultural reactions within the culture contact witch contribute to the transformation of identity by the immigrants. The culture of pedestrian cognition - nature trails as a collage of place. The title of my thesis is intended to involve transdisciplinarity. Any culturological study must neccessarily contain an interdiciplinary view. The frame of reference of various scientific disciplines is essential, whenever the relationship between city man and nature is discussed. The thesis comprises three main sections, as follows. The first thesis includes my general consideration of the problem, together with an introduction into the topics. This thesis describes the development of pedestrian cognition. An important factor of the relationship between walking and perception is in this case, the city. Contemporary relationships between the city man and the city nature, is studied in this chapter. My native city - Prague, happenned to be the study area for this purpose. I describe natural sights of Prague as important elements of her genius loci. The second section encompasses a brief history of strolling outdoor for the perception purposes. Sara Vondraskova- Patterns in cultural performance Abstract The subject of this thesis is a theoretical analysis that explores the relationship between human and technology. This thesis explores the fragile border that divides the naturalness and artificiality and is focused on their sense and meaning. The first part is dealing with the Jean Baudrillard's concept of simulacrum and the virtual evolution that is captured in the work of Karl Sims and Vilém Novák. The second part is dedicated to artificial intelligence and electronic music. This work concentrates on the relativity of terms artificial and natural and is considering context and reference point as the crucial part in manipulation with theese terms. Literary, film and theater work of Zdeněk Svěrák and its contemporary media coverage

The diploma thesis titled Literary, film and theater work of Zdeněk Svěrák and its contemporary media coverage is focused on the personality and work of the named artist. In the first chapter, I explain the concept of media response and the way it can be researched, in the following parts, there are the already-processed specific analyzes and their results. Using quantitative and qualitative research methods, I examined three selected web portals: idnes.cz, lidovky.cz and novinky.cz. From these sources, I gathered media content that related to the personality and work of Zdeněk Svěrák. From the obtained data, I used quantitative content analysis to determine the frequency of the examined media texts, the area of work they related to, the presence of the journalist's own opinion or evaluation (or the attitude of the editor) and the way in which the work of this well-known artist is viewed. Using qualitative method, I gained information about opinions on the personality of Zdeněk Svěrák and his work from the point of view of the researched media servers, as well as readers and audiences of film and artistic theatrical productions. In the last part, I deal with the qualitative analysis of the interviews with Zdeněk Svěrák, including my own, and for comparison, I find out how this multifaceted artist...
Eating disorders

The bachelor thesis introduces the issue of eating disorders. Interdisciplinary approach makes the effort to form a coherent view on the issue in the context of medical, psychological and sociocultural primarily. The first part focuses on the classification of eating disorders to the system of the classification of diseases in order to explain their concept in medicine. Further independently analyzes diseases during childhood. Biological and psychological context of work briefly describes the risk factors. The second part focuses on the sociocultural factors influencing the emergence of eating disorders and explains some of the terms associated with them. It also deals with their history, which reviews from antiquity to the 20th century. An evolutionary perspective is also used, which depicts the possibility that contributes to the preferences of the slenderness based on environment. Bachelor thesis in this section essentially illustrates the influence of Western culture, which is still expanding. Almost the whole world is influenced by Western values, as well as areas where it is not expected. The work shows these facts in several studies. Selection of Sport-talented People in Ice-Hockey and Comparing their Results in Connection with Social Background.

Resumé Název práce: Výběr sportovních talentů v ledním hokeji a porovnání jejich výsledků v závislosti na sociálním zázemí. Cíle práce: Cílem této práce bylo získání a vyhodnocení informací o možnosti vlivu sociálního zázemí na rozvoj mladých talentovaných sportovců hrajících extraligu juniorů na území ČR a porovnat také jejich úspěšnost prosadit se do vyšší věkové kategorie nebo do reprezentace. Metoda: Nejprve bylo provedeno shromáždění literatury a poté byl vytvořen seznam otázek souvisejících jak se sociálním zázemím sportovců, ale i jejich úspěšností prosadit se do reprezentace nebo do vyšší věkové kategorie.. Do dotazníku bylo z tohoto seznamu vybráno celkem 34 otázek. Takto zpracovaný dotazník byl předložen všem sportovcům hrajících lední hokej extraligu juniorů na území ČR. Dále byl vytvořen seznam otázek týkající se rovněž sociálního zázemí sportovců a následně bylo provedeno kvalitativní dotazování - interview (standardizovaný rozhovor-blízký dotazníku) s hokejovými manažery, hokejovými agenty a aktivně hrajícími hokejisty, kteří mají zkušenosti s výběrem mladých talentovaných sportovců. Výsledky: Získané údaje z vyplněných dotazníků jsou interpretovány pomocí tabulek a grafů. U vybraných sportovců jsou shrnuty charakteristické znaky sociálního zázemí na základě převažujících odpovědí z dotazníku....
