Title: Cluster point processes in insurance mathematics Author: Veronika Veselá Department: Department of Probability and Mathematical Statistics Supervisor: RNDr. Zbyněk Pawlas, Ph.D. Abstract: In the present work we study point processes and their importance in insurance mathematics. With the help of cluster and marked point processes we can describe a model that considers times of claim occurence and times and hei- ghts of corresponding payments. We study two specific models which can be used to predict how much money is needed for claims which happened. The first model is chain ladder in the form of Mack's model. For this model we show chain ladder estimators of development factors, estimates of their variance and their proper- ties. We try to find one-step ahead prediction and multi-step ahead prediction, which we use for calculating prediction of reserves. We shortly review asymptotic properties of the estimators in Mack's model. The second model is the Poisson cluster model. Firstly we define this model and the variables entering the model. Then we devote attention to one-step ahead and multi-step ahead prediction. We also study prediction when some variables have specific distributions. Finally, we use both methods of prediction on simulated data and compare their average relative absolute errors....

BBC Radio 7 - public service for children

The object of this dissertation is to map out broadcasting to children on the BBC's public digital radio channel, BBC Radio 7. First, it will introduce BBC Radio 7 as a new digital radio station, that has been broadcasting since December 2002, whilst referring to BBC Radio's 7 history, it's programming and programm format and it's weekly reach and budget. Furthermore, the dissertation focuses on the characteristics of programmes aimed at children, that BBC Radio 7 broadcasts. Equally, it closely analyzes BBC World News for Children, the news bulletin created for children it's structure, the scope of news topics, the substance of the news stories, it's language and the way the news are made.

Analysis of avalanche activity in Giant Mountains during 1999 - 2009

Title: Analysis of the avalanche situation in the Giant Mountains in the period 1999-2009 Objectives of work: Evaluation of weather and terrain conditions in the Czech part of Giant Mountains and the resulting avalanche situation arising. methods: Text analysis and documents relating to the issue lunge avalanches, time series analysis of monitoring weather and snow conditions in the years 1999/2009, the method of interview. results: After each day I announced to assess weather and snow in the winter seasons in 1999-2009. I compared the individual avalanche paths, their parameters and frequency of avalanches falls depending on conditions. The daily regime of the preschool child after returning home from kindergarten, from the parents´ point of view.

My bachelor work "The day regime of a child at preschool age after coming from nursery home from the parents? point of view" in its theoretical part covers, on general level, specifications and needs of the preschool age. In a narrow point of view it concerns the day regime, rituals as well as changes of lifestyle. The goal of my work was to map children?s day regime from parents? point of view showing if they have suitable daily routine, what it looks like and what influences it. To reach the goal I used qualitative researches. To be concrete I used half-structured interview. All the interviews with parents took place in South Bohemia. From all the interviews it results that the parents try to have some regime, but the children miss the grandparents? presence as well as everyday games with fathers. The children watch TV too much and they attend higher number of interest groups.

Tax allowances in personal income tax in selected EU Member States

The content of this thesis is a detailed analysis of individual types of tax allowances provided to individuals - residents, focusing on selected states of the European Union. Tax allowances are considered deductions, allowances, credits and tax band with a zero tax rate. The author explains the differences between these types of tax allowances, analyzes the types of tax allowances granted in selected states of the European Union and examines the tax yield of the basic types of tax allowances of the taxpayer with an average gross wage.

Uplatnění slev u daně z příjmu fyzických osob v nových členských státech EU

Práce je zaměřena na uplatňování slev na dani z příjmu fyzických osob u nově přistoupivších států Evropské unie. Najdeme zde obecné vysvětlení rozdílu mezi uplatňováním odpočtu od uplatňování slevy na dani společně s vysvětlením dané problematiky na názorných příkladech. Dále se práce zabývá konkrétními možnostmi uplatnění slev u daně z příjmu fyzických osob u nově přistupujících států EU. V závěru najdeme tabulky s procentním vyjádřením jednotlivých uplatnitelných slev vztažených k průměrné mzdě pro jednotlivé státy.

Základní elementy Bushovy doktríny jsou tedy politika preemptivního zásahu, který vychází z práva na sebeobranu a práva jednat unilaterálně, pokud to bude nutné k prosazení amerických zájmů. Stoupenci preemptivních zásahů říkají, že politika odstrašování předpokládá, že potenciální nepřítel je racionální stát, který nezasáhne v případě, kdyby to znamenalo jeho zničení. Tato doktrína vypadá, jako by podporovala přiměřenou reakci na revidovanou koncepci asymetrické války. Vojensky podřadné síly a povstalecká hnutí si tady nárokují právo použít normálně zakázanou taktiku, jako jsou útoky na civilní cíle a další akce zakázané válečných právem za předpokladu, že ty silnější státy jsou jím stále vázány.
