Application of Graduates Vocational Schools with Final Exam in Prague on Labor Market
Kubištová, Andrea ; Tuček, Milan (advisor) ; Kuchař, Pavel (referee)
In this thesis I am looking into how absolvents of vocational schools with final exam enter labor market in Prague. I'm focusing primarily on exploring postures and expectations of the absolvents along with their consequent experience on labor market. For better look on the subject I made a semi-structured interview with four absolvents. Then I acquired data from another 56 absolvents by using a form. Then I analyzed and interpreted the data. By this research I concluded, that absolvents mostly enter vocational school with inadequate awareness of a field they chose to study, which is making them disappointed. For that reason, majority of the absolvents don't want to and later even don't find use in the graduated discipline. As a strategy for finding a job, majority of them choose internet sites and help from friends, while labor office is used just as a tool for paying social and medical insurance. Moreover, from the results is clear, that almost every absolvent applies initially in secondary sector of labor market and its first job leaves mostly in a short time. The benefit of this thesis I see mostly in its detailed view into the subject which can be used in the process of further research. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Haratická, Markéta ; Kuchař, Pavel (advisor) ; Tuček, Milan (referee)
This thesis deals with interpersonal relationships at a workplace. Its aim is to analyze the interrelationships of the selected company and map out subjective interpretations in the terms of employee relations. For these purposes the author uses interviewing techniques through interviews and observations, and based on their findings, she draws conclusions relating to both horizontal and vertical level relationships in the organization. The author formulates a positive and negative form of relationship through testimonies of respondents. She finds the differences between people preferring formal or informal dimension of the employment relationship, and at the same time she reveals several kinds of different strategies that people use in an effort of harmonious getting on at the workplace, both in the terms of prevention of bad relations and in connection with the intervention and the solution of the situation that has been problematic. The results show how "good" and "bad" relationships at the workplace are perceived through the eyes of respondents, nevertheless what is not confirmed, is the presumption that the negative form of relations will be most often represented by mobbing or sexual harassment at the workplace. Among respondents there is the concept of bad relationships linked primarily to...

Čerňanská, Marie ; Remr, Jiří (advisor) ; Tuček, Milan (referee)
The thesis "Purchasing tendency of consumers buying fair-trade products" examines aspects that influence consumer behaviour when buying fair-trade products. The thesis is based on a combination of two research methods - secondary data analysis and semi-structured interview. Secondary research uses data from a survey focused on the purchase, preferences and attitudes of fair-trade that was carried out by the Institute of evaluations and social analysis (INESAN). The quantitative part consist of two texts. The first part concentrates on finding aspects that can play a role in consumers' preference in purchasing fair-trade products. The second part concentrates on the purchase itself. It focuses on the extent to which consumers' purchase of fair- trade products is planned or impulsive. The qualitative part is based on quantitative analysis and focuses on established facts in detail. The thesis concludes that buying fair-trade products is influenced by social aspects, quality, price, availability and awareness of fair-trade products and the level of planning depends on the situation.

Obesity in the light of socio-economic inequalities
Bičíková, Kateřina ; Čada, Karel (advisor) ; Tuček, Milan (referee)
Obesity, being one of the most crucial health problems, affects an increasing part of the world population as it has severe health, social, psychological and economic consequences. Its main cause lies in today's obesogenic environment characterised by a passive lifestyle, easy access to energy- dense foods and their aggressive marketing strategies. Because of significant changes in both production and consumption, it is not possible to blame obesity merely on individual lifestyle choices. An important feature of today's obesity epidemic is its uneven distribution. Obesity prevalence is besides other things determined by education, income, gender, family status and age. Analysis of available data showed that also in the Czech Republic the occurrence of obesity has been increasing and the number of overweight and obese people is higher than the number of people with normal weight. The assumption that there be higher prevalence of excess weight among men was confirmed, however, the expected higher prevalence of obesity among women was disproved; both genders suffer from obesity equally, yet the tendency towards obesity increases more significantly among men. The hypothesis about negative dependence of education, income and BMI was confirmed only partially in the Czech Republic: contrary to expectations, groups...
The Imagine of Cohabitation, Marriage and Parenthood in Women's and Men's Lifestyle Magazines
Mixová, Kristýna ; Tuček, Milan (advisor) ; Kandert, Josef (referee)
Diplomová práce Bc. Kristýna Mixová Abstract The topic of this diploma thesis is the image of cohabitation, marriage and parenthood in lifestyle magazines. Theoretical sources of the text are ideas of Zygmunt Bauman - love as a consumer product or love forever, and the ideas of Gilles Lipovetsky about postmoral society without duty. Methodology for this diploma thesis was the qualitative content analysis of 12 issues of the most read czech men's lifestyle magazine Maxim and 12 issues of the most read czech women's lifestyle magazine Joy. Both published in 2012. In both lifestyle magazines love is presented as a consumer product, but in women's magazines exists an image of love forever as well. Duty is shown in negative view. Instead of duty, taking care about others is presented. Wedding is decribed like a normal event expected in a human life. Parenthood in men's lifestyle magazines is connected with self-denial, in women's lifestyle magazines as a self-fulfilment connected with self- denial.
The Origins of Totalitarianism Viewed by First Generation of Critical Theorists
Danovská, Krista ; Balon, Jan (advisor) ; Tuček, Milan (referee)
The goal of the thesis is analysis of the origin of the totalitarian system in the work of Theodor Adorno, Erich Fromm, Max Horkheimer, and Herbert Marcuse, as representatives of the theoretical framework of critical theory. The analysis is carried out both in terms of the individual - the text works with the researches of the authors working with the concept of the authoritarian character - and in the analysis of societal factors leading to an undemocratic systém using texts following the philosophy of history. Work explores the overall context of the operating of selected authors, because the situation, during which the first generation of critical theorists formed their works was an important factor which influenced their thinking. The findings from selected studies include the fact that people with lower social status are more susceptible to tend towards a totalitarian system with strong authoritarian elements. Results from two different research one before the war and postwar one show that propensity for undemocratic system is rife. Texts dedicated to the philosophy of history show that modern capitalism and enlightened society elements are leading to totalitarianism. The authors leave this topic after their return to Frankfurt to a renewed Institute for Social Research.
