The values of children and young people from sociocultural disadvantaged backgrounds (research in elementary school Chanov)

This diploma thesis deals with the values of children and youth in the context of a sociocultural disadvantaged backgrounds. The work has theoretical and empirical character. The theoretical part explains the basic terminology and assumptions relating to values and value orientation, moral development of children, social exclusion. The text provides a detailed description of the Roma population including its history and current status, possible causes of problems and theoretical solutions psychosocial differences. Practical work provides data on socially excluded Roma locality Chanov and especially local elementary school. The research study provides an interpretation which life values Roma children perceive as important and what attitude to their value orientation have teachers of elementary school Chanov. The results of interviews and questionnaires are compared with the conclusions of the studies mentioned in the theoretical part.
Forest School Education

This bachelor thesis deals with education in forest preschools. This is a relatively new trend in preschool education in the Czech Republic and the aim of the thesis is to create a realistic and complete picture of this alternative. The thesis has two parts. The first part puts this pedagogical concept into the context of the current social situation, introduces its pedagogical bases and historical moments of its formation and spreading in the world. Further the theoretical part introduces the possible concepts and definitions of forest preschools, presents the basic principles, criteria, specifics and other related issues. At the end of the theoretical part the thesis deals with the Czech context of forest preschools. The practical part gives an insight into a possible case of the practice of forest preschool and presents research results in this area. The research focuses on the specific way of organizing of particular forest preschool, its pedagogical concept and also introduces the views of people involved.
Competence of teachers to deal bullying

(in English): The aim of this paper is to present a summary of information about the competencies of teachers for dealing with bullying. Competence of teachers for dealing with bullying are from the areas of theoretical knowledge of bullying, its origin and evolution. Furthermore, practical skills in the areas of prevention and dealing with bullying. The is information drawn from scientific literature mainly written by czech authors, who base thein experties on doctor Kolar's theory of bullying. The work may serve as a source of information about the competencies of teachers for dealing with bullying and the teachers can attain competency.
Teacher as significant adult in the life of a student

The theoretical part presents to the reader the basic issues concerning the two major subjects of education, teacher and pupil. The main goal of the practical part is to find out with the help of a questionnaire whether and to what extent is to identify the student with the teacher and with various forms of teachers' role in the student's life.
Grunnlaget Method of Concept Teaching Model as an Instrument for Reducing of Inequallities in Pre-Primary Education

The fundamental aspect of this Bachelor's thesis is a general concept of social disadvantage, in witch the author adresses the issue of inequality of education. As one of the sources of these inequalites the author refers to the lack of readiness of children of socially disadvantaged backgrounds access to primary education. The author does not examine the causes of this phenomenon, instead focuses on possible remedies. The autor sees the possibility of redress of early intervention during the pre-primary education. As a possible way of intervention the author proposes the Concept Teaching Model. In the present work author acquaint a detailed tutorial of this method, Norweigan educational program Grunnlaget. The author demonstrates the effectiviness of method for foreign case studies and its own qualitative research. In conclusion the author support non-profit institution as a possible useful suplement to the school system. Language of Preschool Childern Come from Social and Cultural Handicapped Environment

The thesis followed up language of preschool children,that come from sociallly and culturallly disadvantaged environment. The aim of thesis was to describe language of socially and culturally handicapped preschoolers, specially the aspects of syntax, morphology, vocabulary, and pronunciation. Further to describe language of preschool children without the handicap. Thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part researched children language development. It describes some of linguistic and sociolinguistic theories, follows up the development of specific linguistic aspects in preschool age and characterizes speech disorders. Thesis is also contains a description of social and cultural handicap, characterizes groups of social and cultural handicapped children and reviews of legislative documents about social and cultural handicap. Third chapter focuses on Roman minority language specifics. There is description of Roman language, Romany ethnolect of Czech language and some of communication specifics which are based on cultural differences. The Issue of School Readiness and its Diagnosis

Afterwards the school the theoretical definition of school readiness, its main features and instruments of diagnostics. The aim of the practical part is to outline the "complex diagnostics of school readiness" which could be used by the nursery school teacher. I also applied some of the diagnostic tests and methods of educational diagnostics. The theoretical part defines the preschool time and the first school period concerning the developmental Psychology. be a child able to do before entering the school. The outcome is a sort of "complex diagnostic of maturity and readiness is mentioned. The following part refers to methods of educational diagnostics and methods of school readiness assessment. The final part is focused on suspension of school attendance and its frequent causes. The practical part deals with 2 detailed case histories of preschool age children. This thesis deals with the prevention of youth delinquency in the Czech Republic. The theoretical basis is characteristic of individual in adolescence and system description prevention of youth delinquency. The section devoted to adolescence describes individuals aged 15-18years, describes the psychological and developmental characteristics. An Attention is paid to the causes of youth delinquency. The prevention part explains the theoretical foundations on which is a system of prevention in the Czech Republic. This thesis describes the system and highlights the continuity and consistency between the elements of the system. Special attention is given to prevention at the school and local community. The empirical part is devoted to identifying the opinions and attitudes of the respondents in the area of prevention. Anxiety an Fear at School

The objective of this thesis "Anxiety And Fear At School" is to further reasearch how and when teachers feel ready and able to recognize an anxious child at school and as well to be able to work with a child whose anxiety may be caused by a specific situation at school. The thesis researches school as a potential source of anxiety and fear and describes specific situations which may cause or contribute to this phenomenon. In addition, a current issue which is outlined in the text is pedagogical-psychological diagnostics and related diagnostic competence of teachers. Theoretical findings are supported by research conducted amongst teachers. Two case studies of students which have experienced fear and anxiety at school, connected to specific school situations are provided. These case studies observe the solutions in those situations, as well as the impact of the experience on the students in question. The education of teachers at universities in the field of pedagogical-psychological diagnosis can in certain cases be insufficient and sometimes can also be difficult to apply in real life situations. This thesis clarifies the role that preschool education plays in the successful inclusion of culturally disadvantaged children into mainstream education. The theoretical part characterizes the conditions of present preschool education with regard to the specifics of families from socially and culturally disadvantaged backgrounds. The research part is aimed at identifying the views and attitudes of parents and teaching staff on the issue and monitoring the progress in the development of children during the educational process in kindergarten.
