Citizenship Education of the Adults in the Libraries

The aim of this work is to find and analyse library activity in the subject of adult civic education. Moreover, this thesis defines the area of adult civic education and its relation to hobby education. Subsequently, these two matters are closely related and to some extent overlap, and there is no precisely defined boundary between them. Furthermore, the role of libraries as educational institutions in general, as well as civic adult education institutions are expanded. Additionally, an overview of chosen adult educational activities that can be done in a library setting is also provided. Lectures and conversations, in particular, are highlighted as the most frequently featured methods. Similarly, an empirical study, performed in the form of interviews with six librarians from the district towns of the South Bohemian Region, is also part of the work, with the goal of determining the state of adult civic education in their libraries. The final project is a SWOT analysis of the strengths and limitations of adult civic education in the Czech Republic's library setting, which is based on theoretical concepts, existing research, and its own actual study.
Free Time and Educational Activities in Home for the Elderly in a Small Town.

4 Abstract The aim of the diploma thesis will be to analyze leisure and educational activities in homes for the elderly in a small town. The work will introduce the issue of old age in terms of biological, social and psychological aspects, along with leisure activities and motivation to educate seniors. The work will further define the basic division of residential facilities for the elderly and the possibilities of educational activities in these facilities in a small town. The aim of the empirical qualitative survey will be to find out the specific possibilities and the degree of satisfaction of seniors with the offer of leisure and educational activities in homes for the elderly in a small town. The survey will be carried out with the help of structured interviews with seniors, employees and with the management of two different homes and will find out the possibilities and the degree of satisfaction with leisure and educational activities. Teacher's Self-reflection as a Part of Feedback Interview

This bachelor's thesis explores self-reflection and its use during feedback interviews. The researcher feedback interview is feedback after sitting in on classes between teacher and supervisor or another worker at school. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is an analysis of the feedback process and the element of self-reflection used in it. Attention is firstly focused on the benefits of feedback for employees and the use of elements of self-reflection in a feedback interview. The bachelor's* thesis exploresthe observation process, its usage possibilities, and whether isit possible to motivate employees through it. One of the biggest topics is self-reflection, its use in pedagogical practice, and then after sitting in on classes interview. Attention is also focused on self-reflection as a means of the personal and professional development of teachers.The empirical research aims to find out if the teachers of the secondary stage of elementary schools in the Šluknovský výběžek are using elements of self-reflection in an after sitting in on classes interview. The Role of Public Libraries in Development of Digital Literacy

The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze the state of involvement of public libraries in the development of digital literacy among the adult population. The introduction of the diploma thesis is focuses on the concept of digital literacy and related concepts such as the digital divide or digital competence. Studies of the Czech Statistical Office (CZSO) and the PIAAC study of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) are used to determine the state of digital literacy of the Czech adult population. The second chapter is focuses on the analysis of strategic and political documents connected with digital issues. These documents include publications issued by the European Commission and strategies approved by the Government of the Czech Republic. The next chapter is focuses on public libraries, which are cultural institutions and therefore play an important role in the field of further education and thus also in the implementation of digital literacy support for adults. The Lifelong Learning of Roma Women

The work presents Romani women as one of the disadvantaged groups for whom, according to transnational organizations, lifelong learning should be an opportunity to improve employability and improve social position in society. Today's society is working to make primary, secondary and terciary education accessible to disadvantaged children and youth, and adult education should also be prepared for diverse groups of learners. Inclusive education should respect the specific needs of its target group. The diploma thesis, based on fifteen years of experience in the education of Roma women, available data and knowledge gained through quantitative and qualitative research, specifies the perceived educational needs and expectations of this specific disadvantaged group in relation to further education. The thesis describes the intersectionality with which Romani women cope in life, and which must be perceived as the background and cause of the barriers they face in accessing further education. The last chapter outlines appropriate methods of making further education accessible to adult Romani women. Findings captured at work can also be related to other groups on the margins of society and at risk in the labor market. Even today, František Štampach still ranks among the inspiring figures in the history of special pedagogy, emphasizing children's social background especially. František Štampach referred to targeted and systematic ideas stemming from Jan Amos Komensky legacy in his publications. The presented work seeks a content and thematic analysis of Štampach's specialist publications in the context of Jan Amos Komensky's ideas. Essential to understanding the broader context of Štampach's work is the period framing - the end of World War II, anticipation and commitment to future generations. Further Education of Persons with Very Superior Intelligence

This thesis deals with further education of superior intelligent people. The thesis presents current perspectives on gifted education and focuses on the methods of further education suitable for gifted education. Furthermore, the thesis examines an interest education of gifted adults, including presentation organization Mensa which unites individuals with very superior intelligence. In the thesis, the general theoretical findings about intelligence are also presented, as well as the personality traits of the very superior intelligence persons and gifted people. Moreover, the thesis works with general findings about the further education. The thesis includes qualitative empirical research which is aimed at personal preferences of the adult members of Mensa Czech Republic for content, forms and methods of the further education. The research also explores the relation of these adults to education, their experience with further education and their demands on an educator. The Motivation to Volunteer during the Covid-19 Pandemic

The main focus of this bachelor thesis is the volunteer's motivation in social and health area during the Covid pandemic throughout the timespan of March 2020 to December 2020. The thesis is separated into two parts. First part is separated into theoretical anchoring of volunteering and motivation for volunteering in social and health area. Second part is focused on assessment of hypothesis and it's subsequent denial or affirmation thanks to survey evaluation. Finally the author offered suggestions for next research in this field of work.
The Satisfaction of Teacher Education Students with Online Pedagogical Internships

The bachelor thesis deals with teacher students' satisfaction with online pedagogical internships. The factors that indicate the quality of online pedagogical practices and affect students' satisfaction with them are identified in the following paper. Firstly, it defines the teaching profession with emphasis on the practical professional preparation of teacher students and the development of their professional identity. It is followed by describing teacher training and its problems in the Czech educational context. Furthermore, the paper pays attention to the satisfaction of student teachers with pedagogical practices. It identifies aspects of pedagogical internships that indicate their perceived quality and influence students' satisfaction with them. Then the specifics of online pedagogical practices and synchronous online teaching are described in the mentioned context. The qualitative empirical study, which aims to identify the factors that affect student satisfaction with online teaching internships at the Faculty of Education, Charles University, is included.
