The main objectives of the thesis include the design of the layout, construction and material solutions. The residential building is located on an almost flat terrain with a slight slope on the eastern edge of the village Modrá. It is a five-storey fully basemented building. Perimeter walls are made of thermally insulating ceramic blocks. The building is based on a foundation slab with stiffening foundation strips securing the slab for uplift due to groundwater. The foundation slab is connected to the reinforced concrete perimeter walls of the basement and both the walls and the foundation slab are made of waterproof concrete due to the presence of groundwater. The perimeter masonry is made of thermally insulating ceramic blocks with integrated mineral wool. The horizontal load-bearing structures are made of monolithic concrete.
