Integration of humanities in a specific school practice

The thesis deals with a specific case of connecting humanities (Czech language, history, geography and civics) at Pražské humanitní gymnázium. Using selected theoretical literature and a specific (auto)ethnographic probe in the named institution, it analyzes the teaching from the point of view of the school educational program and its continuity with RVP, on a more detailed level also from the point of view of the thematic plan and its implementation. The thesis also includes a description of the evaluation of this subject. The goal of the thesis is to find out if this connection is functional based on the experiences of teachers and students. Teaching about Disinformation. On Media Education in the Czech Republic, Finland, and the UK

This bachelor's thesis deals with misinformation and demonstrates how schools in selected countries approach the issue of misinformation in media education and subsequently compares these approaches. The thesis focuses on the concept of misinformation and distinguishes other related terms (fake news, hoaxes, conspiracy theories, etc.). Furthermore, the thesis analyzes the fundamental aspects of media education, specifically in the Czech Republic, Finland, and the United Kingdom. This section provides the reader with a clearer picture of how individual countries approach media education. The comparison is specifically emphasized on the topic of misinformation. Thus, the thesis aims to answer whether Czech students are sufficiently educated in dealing with misinformation and media in general.
Didactic analysis and proposal for teaching selected career education topics within the framework " Lessons in working" and civics at higher secondary schools

The topic of this diploma thesis is career education within the cross-cutting theme of Lesson in working and its didactic treatment in teaching at secondary vocational schools. This diploma thesis introduces an analysis of the concept of teaching career education in selected foreign countries within the curriculum documents and teaching materials available in the Czech territory. The chapters of the theoretical part deal with the relationship between secondary vocational education and the labour market, the concept of career education and counselling, comparison with foreign countries and comparison of teaching materials; last but not least, it also includes an introduction to psychological and social factors influencing career choice. The whole work flows into a didactic analysis where I elaborate the teaching of career education according to the above mentioned findings. In the first part of the didactic proposal I work mainly with the development of career competences and the discovery of career direction. The second part of the didactic proposal focuses on students' self-presentation. Didactic treatment of the problems of contemporary democracy for teaching of social sciences

This master thesis deals with the issues of modern-day democracy and its didactic treatment of the way the school subject Social studies is taught at gymnázium schools. At first, the subject of democracy is discussed from many different angles, and those are compared to one another. Due to its didactic focus, the thesis partially uses school textbooks as a source. After that, great attention is given to four particular problems of the current democracy and a couple of different ways to view them. The discussed problems are inequality, education, populism, and epistemic disfiguration. Moreover, the thesis features an analysis of the approach to the subject in general education programs for gymnáziom schools. This analysis is followed up with another analysis, which deals with the treatment of the subject in the selected education programs at four different gymnázium schools, which are then compared to one another. In another subchapter, the thesis dissects the amount of attention that is paid to the problems of the current democracy in textbooks for secondary schools. These textbooks are then compared. The thesis deals with the teaching of developmental psychology within the framework of Civic education. The theoretical part presents the issues of developmental psychology and didactics of social sciences, it deals with conditions for meaningful teaching of developmental psychological topics at the upper primary school, curriculum analysis, and appropriate teaching methods. In the practical part a proposal for specific teaching hours is submitted. The aim of the thesis is to create thoughtful teaching plans that develop psychological functional literacy and promote intergenerational communication skills of students. Cognitive processes in the teaching of civic education at elementary school

The diploma thesis on the topic of Cognitive processes in the teaching of civic education at elementary school deals with how the topic of cognitive processes, especially perception and memory, is realized within the framework of civic education. Its goal is to find out under what conditions and by what methods is this topic currently being taught. The part of the thesis devoted to psychological issues focuses on the historical development of psychology, the characteristics of perception and memory. An essential part of the work is the explanation of these two key psychological concepts and at the same time introducing the main psychological disciplines, applied fields and leading representatives who dealt with these basic physiological principles. The didactic part is focused on the so-called functional psychological literacy. I will focus on the inclusion of cognitive processes in the Framework Education Program and, based on the analysis of textbooks, listening to civics lessons and interviews with teachers at primary school, I will find out how and by what methods the subject of these cognitive processes is currently taught. Competition and new strategies of competitive struggle

The bachelor thesis is focused on competition and new strategies of competitive struggle emerging in the online environment through influencer marketing. The aim of the theoretical part is to define the concept of competition, its role in the market economy and also its basic types. Furthermore, the competition in the online environment will be presented, as well as basic principles of influencer marketing and the current situation of influencer marketing in the Czech Republic. In the following subchapters of the theoretical part the ethical and legal side of new competitive strategies are presented, including the influence of influencers on today's juvenile audience. The practical part consists of a qualitative analysis. The data are collected through the in-depth interview, which aims to map the influence of the described practices on the young generation in practice. The results of this analysis are then compared with the pre-given hypotheses.
The Origins and Devvelopment of the STAN Movement from 2004 to the Present.

This bachelor thesis consists of analysis of the creation and development of the political movement "Starostové a nezávislí". In the first part, to engage the reader in the beginning and introduce him to the topic, the thesis is focusing on the concept of the political movement, states its functions and defines the major differences between political party and political movement. The thesis also notices certain circumstances which are mandatory for the creation of a political movement or party and the decrease of popularity for the traditional political parties in the Czech Republic. The main part of the thesis covers the political movement itself, namely the description of its creation and its development until the year 2022, which is portraited through using the elections data. The thesis also recognizes the programme and the electorate of the movement, as well as its crises and critique received by the society. Political participation in citizenship education at the second stage of basic education

The aim of the diploma thesis entitled Political participation in citizenship education at the second stage of basic education is, based on a comparison of curricular documents, to identify the topics and outcomes that will lead to the promotion of political participation, to carry out a didactic analysis of selected political topics and to propose a suitable didactic procedure for teaching these topics in citizenship education classes at the second level of primary schools and in the lower grades of multi-year grammar schools. The presented procedure is based on the three-phase model of E-U-R learning and combines different methods, organizational forms and models of teaching. The emphasis is on working with authentic texts and the development of key competences according to the Framework Curriculum for Primary Schools. At the same time, taking into account the conditions and trends at the time of writing the diploma thesis, each lesson is designed with the possibility of moving the teaching to a distance form. The starting point for why this thesis is being written in the first place and why its objectives are set in this way is an analysis of research on political participation in selected countries. The research findings point to some problematic places in the teaching of citizenship education...
