V průběhu projektu Skryto pod povrchem v letech 2020-2023 bylo sledováno sedm archeologických areálů Pražského hradu různého rozsahu. V prostoru III. nádvoří (malé a velké vykopávky) a v kryptě katedrály sv. Víta projekt navazuje na starší dlouhodobé snahy o efektivní památkovou péči. Nově pak byly do programu zahrnuty areály Starého královského paláce, baziliky a kláštera sv. Jiří, Ústavu šlechtičen a kaple Panny Marie. Vizuální kontrolou pak prošly další menší areály. Cílem projektu bylo identifikovat problematické areály, nastavit optimální monitoring a navrhnout pro jeden každý individuální způsob řešení, navržení obecných pravidel pro dlouhodobé sledování areálů a návrhy dílčích zásahů v jednotlivých areálech a u jednotlivých památek. V některých případech se objevila témata, která nemohla být řešena v rámci stávajícího projektu a měla by se stát předmětem dalšího výzkumu či projektu (speciálně se jedná o degradace historických stavebních materiálů a pod.). During the 2020-2023 Hidden Under the Surface project, seven archaeological areas of Prague Castle of different scales were monitored. In the area of the third courtyard (small and large excavations) and in the crypt of St. Vitus Cathedral, the project builds on earlier long-term efforts to effective monument care. Newly included in the programme are the grounds of the Old Royal Palace, the Basilica and Monastery of St. George, the Institute of Noblewomen and the Chapel of the Virgin Mary. Other smaller areas were then subjected to a visual inspection. The aim of the project was to identify problematic areas, set up optimal monitoring and design an individual solution for each one, propose general rules for long-term monitoring of the sites and proposals for partial interventions in individual sites and for individual monuments. In some cases, topics emerged that could not be addressed within the current project and should be the subject of further research or a project (specially with degradation of historical building materials, etc.).
