Práce se zaměřila na generálního představeného křižovníků s červenou hvězdou v Praze, Františka Matouše Böhmba, rodáka z Lubence (1722-1750). Tento velmistr vstoupil do řádu za kultivovaného, právnicky vzdělaného velmistra Martina Konstantina Beinlicha, a kráčel posléze ve stopách, jaké již hluboce zanechal předtím Jiří Ignác Pospíchal, Obnovitel řádu v druhé polovině 17. století. Kultivovaný Böhmb se stal nejprve farářem v Karlových Varech, v roce 1720 ho povolal generál za převora do Prahy a po Beinlichově smrti byl jednomyslně zvolen velmistrem na svátek sv. Anežky, 2. března 1722. Práce sleduje zejména kulturní aktivity zmíněného preláta, jež byly zasazeny do "každodennosti" konventu ad pedem pontis. Již Beinlich začínal vyjednávat o rozšíření řádu mimo hranice Českého království, ovšem až Böhmb tuto myšlenku dokončil, když v roce 1723 uvedl křižovníky do Prešpurku a za deset let do Vídně. V Prešpurku nechal zbudovat novou komendu s hospitálem, ve Vídni též, ovšem již u nově zbudovaného prestižního kostela sv. Karla Boromejského. I na domácí půdě dal ve třicátých letech 18. století zbudovat chrám sv. Maří Magdalény v Karlových Varech. Kromě Kiliána Ignáce Dientzenhofera pracoval v jeho době pro řád Václav Vavřinec Reiner, jenž už počátkem dvacátých let vymaloval freskou kupoli Matheyova kostela sv.... The paper aims on the cultural life of Francis Matthew Böhmb (1722- 1750), a native of Lubenec (Bohemia), Superior General of the Order of Crusaders with the Red Star in Prague. The Grand Master of the Order took the vows under the rule of sophisticated, erudite lawyer Grandmaster Martin Constantine Beinlich and in the second half of the 17th century tread in the steps of the Restorer of the Order, George Ignatius Pospichal. Sophisticated Böhmb became parish priest in Carlsbad firs. It was in 1720 when the General Prior called him to Prague as a Prior and after Beinlich's death was, on the feast of St. Agnes in March 2, 1722, unanimously elected Grand Master. Thesis followed particularly the cultural activities of the forenamed prelate, in the time of the day-to-day duties of the convent ad Pedem Pontis. It was Beinlich, begining to negotiate an extended Order range beyond the borders of the Czech Kingdom, however it was Böhmb's duty to realize this idea when, in 1723, he installed the Knights of the Cross in Bratislava (Pressburg), and ten years after, in Vienna. In Bratislava he let to build a new commendam's hospital there, as in Vienna, where he used the newly erected prestigious church of St. Charles Borromeo.
