A Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment on a Patient After LiverTransplantation

Název: Případová studie fyzioterapeutické léčby pacienta po transplantaci jater Autor: Saria Al Saseh Cíl: Cílem této práce je podrobně zkoumat teoretické aspekty související s postupy transplantace jater a s nimi spojeným rehabilitačním procesem. Druhá část zahrnuje podrobnou analýzu případu, která popisuje fyzioterapii, která byla podána pacientovi v raném pooperačním období po transplantaci jater. Klinické zjištění: Případová studie je založena na 43letém pacientovi po transplantaci jater kvůli cirhóze způsobené Wilsonovou chorobou. Vyšetření ukázalo snížení nezávislosti, svalové síly, rozsahu pohybu, změn ve vzorci dýchání a měkkých tkání. Metody: Metoda použitá v této případové studii je založena na terapeutických technikách naučených na FTVS Univerzity Karlovy. Výsledky: Pacient během rehabilitačního procesu prokázal významné zlepšení. Tento pokrok umožnil pacientovi dosáhnout nezávislosti a zlepšit kvalitu života. I Abstract Title: Viscerovertebral relations focusing on GERD Objectives: The thesis is focused on describing viscerovertebral relations focusing on GERD and physiotherapeutic possibilities of using these relations to influence this disease. It is divided into two parts - theoretical and research. The aim of the theoretical part is to summarize the current knowledge about GERD and mentioned viscerovertebral relations focusing on specific technique - stimulation of the Chapman points. The aim of the research part is to present the study to assess the effect of stimulation of the Chapman points in physiotherapy of patients with GERD. Methods: The study consists of the application of a physiotherapy intervention to probands randomly divided into two groups - control and experimental. The intervention consisted of individual physiotherapy lasting approximately 45 minutes, once a week for 4 weeks, and self-therapy at home based on instructions. The therapy of both groups differed by the inclusion of the Chapman points stimulation in the experimental group. Title: Case Study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of cervicobrachial syndrome Target: The objective of bachelor thesis is to describe the problems cervicobrachil syndrome Abstract: This bachelor thesis consists of two parts. The theoretical part contains of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology of cervical spine. It states here the definition, cause, clinical features, therapeutic approaches to the issue. A special section is the most important part of the bachelor thesis. A special section is devoted to case report and determination of the a physiotherapy plan. The case report discussed in detail contains anamnesis, the input kinesiology analysis, short- and long-term plan, records of the therapeutics units, the output kinesiology analysis and evaluation of the effect therapy. Objective: Summary of theoretical knowledge and the processing of case study of patient diagnosed with polyneuropathy. Summary: The thesis consists of two parts. The theoretical part includes the elucidation of illness polyneuropathy, classification, diagnosis and treatment. A special section is devoted to case study with a rehabilitation plan for the patient. The therapy was focused mainly at influencing the pathological sensation, improving fitness and stability when standing and walking. Aim: Main aim of the diploma thesis is to investigate which physiotherapeutic intervention for patients after spinal surgery is the most effective one and offer optimal activity immediately after the surgery and in a long term phase. Investigate questions: 1. Which physiotherapeutic intervention is the most effective one? 2. Which type of physical activity is the most optimal one? Methods: A systematic review on the topic. Results: The review answers the questions about physiotherapy after lumbar surgery in acute and long term phase after surgery and shows current trends and unique approaches in this study area. Year of defense: 2014 Abstract: This bachelor's thesis was made like the case study of a patient after knee arthroscopy for meniscal lesion. It's been prepared in the course of professional practice from 7th January to 2nd February 2013 in Institut klinické a experimentální medicíny (IKEM) in Prague. The work consists of a general part, which follows up with the anatomy and biomechanics of the knee joint, soft tissue trauma in the area of knee joint, clinical examination, medical imaging techniques and therapeutic procedures in the case of lesions of the meniscus. A special part follows up a specific case study of a patient, who attended the outpatient department on rehabilitation clinic IKEM. It contains the input kinesiology examination, plan of the therapy, the performance and the evaluation of therapy at the end. Changes in deep and superficial sensations in depression

Title: Changes in deep and superficial sensations in depression Objectives: The theoretical part of this study aims to summarize the issues related to depression and sensory modalities in general. The goal of the practical aspect is to conduct an experiment that evaluates changes in superficial and deep sensations in depression at different stages of the mental illness in five patients. We evaluated sensations of thermal stimuli, tactile stimuli, vibrations and pain. Methods: The practical part describes the sensation analysis for each patient individually. The changes in deep and superficial sensations are compared in states of worse and lighter depression. There is also a suggested possibility for statistical evaluation of the interdependence between the severity of depression and selected modalities of sensation using the Wilcoxon test for two dependent samples. Results: The vibrating sensation in the upper left limb and algid sensation in the upper right extremity proved (on the chosen level of significance) the null hypothesis which stated that changes in sensation depend on changes in the state of depression. Title: Case study of physiotherapy care of a patient with rheumatoid arthritis and after hip replacement surgery Author: Vanda Páleníková Aim: Summary of theoretical knowledge, performing a kinesiological analysis, design treatment and monitoring of the patient during rheumatoid arthritis, and before and after right hip replacement surgery and subsequently summation effects by therapy. Methods and abstract: This thesis was created during professional practice, which was held at the Institute of Rheumatology in Prague from 14.1. 2013 to 8.2 2013. The thesis is divided into two parts - general and special. The first (general) part deals with the theoretical knowledge of rheumatic diseases, particularly rheumatoid arthritis and hip replacement surgery and methods of treatment, including physiotherapy practice. The second (special) case report describes a patient with rheumatoid arthritis before and after total hip replacement surgery, the design and the process of therapy and its evaluation. Title: The case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient with The Postpoliomyelitic syndrome Objective: Summarization of theoretical knowledge concerning The Postpoliomyelitic syndrome. Preparation of case study of a patient suffering The Postpoliomyelitic syndrome, followed by appraisal of the therapy's effects. Methods: The Theoretical Part is concerned with The Postpoliomyelitic syndrome's theme, namely with its possible cause of the syndrome, clinical features and options of therapeutic approaches. The Special Part of Bachelor Thesis presents case study of female patient in the course of particular therapies, and overall therapy's effect. Results: Physiotherapeutic care of the patient was observed to be helpful and positive results were reached not only in the objective, but also in subjective way. As the most effective is considered respiratory physiotherapy especially for activation of stabilizing muscles of the spine, then soft tissue techniques and positive thermotherapy. The reduction of muscle dysbalance was achieved, also as improvement of decompensation of scoliosis and stability. These improvements affected gait stereotype positively.
