Tomanová, Kateřina ; Smrčka, Jiří (advisor) ; Kubíček, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis deals with two dramaturgical lines of Czech play on the small stage of the theater "Divadlo na Vinohradech". It aims to verify whether or not and, if so, how has the text of contemporary drama changed in comparison to the dramatic text of the period from the 1960s to the 1980s. The thesis does so on a sample of eleven plays put on under the current artistic management of the theatre (i.e. since the theatre season 2012/2013). The first part of the thesis focuses on the theoretical characterization of dramas typical for both of these observed periods and on the development of dramaturgy of the theater in relation to Czech drama. The second part of the thesis contains the analyses and the final comparison of dramatic texts. The dramas analysed in this thesis are Motýl na anténě (1963) by Václav Havel, Piknik (1964) by Ladislav Smoček, Kočka na kolejích (1965) by Josef Topol, Hodinový hoteliér (1969) by Pavel Landovský, Audience (1975) by Václav Havel, Pěnkava s Loutnou (1978) by Antonín Přidal, Zvěstování aneb Bedřichu, jsi anděl (1986) by Milan Uhde, Nikdy (2003) by Lenka Lagronová, Ulity (2011) by Magdalena Frydrych Gregorová, Na kamenném, kamenném poli (Job) (2011) by Tereza Verecká, and Za dveřmi (2017) by Barbora Hančilová. Aristology - Food as a Cultural Phenomenon
TOMANOVÁ, Kateřina
The diploma thesis focuses on the fundamental moments in the development of food, especially on the interpretation of significant differences in the understanding of food, both throughout our history and at present. The work tries to approach that food from a one historical moment is not only a neccesary part of human life, but it serves as a means of a certain cultural and social act and interferes with the social conditions of each person. In specific chapters, which are arranged according to the gradual emergence of period, the importance of food in society is described, as well as the expansion of gastronomy, as a science of cooking, but also the consumption of food or the development of dining and related tools. In the research of the postmodern period, the origin of which is limited to 1989 in the Czech context because of socialism, the work approaches the issue of consumer culture and hyperconsumer society. It also looks at two somewhat different aspects, the first one from the perspective of sociology as a science of society, the second one from the perspective of anthropology as a science of human. In addition to the traditional research, the work is based on a reflection of socio-cultural theories, such as Claude Lévi Strauss, Norbert Elias, Pierre Bourdieu or Roland Barthes, who more or less touch on the concept of food in their scientific interpretations. Part of the work is also the introduction of a not very well-known scientific discipline - aristology, which deals with all the above-described views, as a general science of food, so this thesis may be called aristological work.

The thesis deals with authorial fairy tales by the Čapek brothers. The first part focuses on theoretical characteristics of fairy tale regarding its genre development and typological distinction. It describes the features and historical development of authorial fairy tale as of a special type of fairy tale. It also indicates the significance of Karel and Josef Čapek's fairy tale work in the context of the first great expansion of Czech authorial fairy tale in the 1920s, and it introduces other fields in which the brothers collaborated. The following part points out "modern" features in fairy tales by applying analysis and interpretation on the collections Povídání o pejskovi a kočičce and Devatero pohádek. Food as an Aesthetic Object?
TOMANOVÁ, Kateřina
The aim of the bachelor thesis named "Food as an Aesthetic Object?" is to introduce the theoretical assumptions of the aesthetic concepts of Jan Mukařovský and then try to apply it to the theme of food. The next step will be the emphasis on psychical distance and aesthetic experience that will help us better understand food as an aesthetic object. In the third part we present some authors who deal with our topic and we can use them as a support in our research, because Jan Mukařovský doesn't express himself to theme of food. The intention of the thesis is to clarify whether food can be aesthetically conceived.
