Definice služeb, jejich cíle a poslání se formovalo zejména v posledních 10 letech. Effective Treatment of Violent Offenders with Personality Disorder wihin the Penitentiary Custody
Jiřička, Václav ; Šípek, Jiří (advisor) ; Boukalová, Hedvika (referee) ; Sochůrek, Jan (referee)
This paper addresses the question of whether individual delinquent behaviour, or criminogenic risks that lead to it, can be reduced for convicted violence offenders with personality disorder, using the newly developed offence-oriented therapeutic program TERČ ("TARGET"). If so, how will these changes manifest in the recidivism rate, and how they will reflect the personality characteristics of inmates. TARGET was first systematically applied within a special treatment unit for prisoners with mental and behavioral disorders in Liberec Remand Prison in 2008. It is based on selected elements of the Ambulant intensive program (AIP) from Switzerland. A total of 100 convicts were entered TARGET from 2008 to 2015. 65 individuals completed the program successfully, and 57 were released again. The already released graduates of TARGET re-offended within 12 months in 10.4%. Of all admitted TARGET participants, a total of 30.2% either relapsed or failed during the program since 2009. Graduates showed positive, statistically significant changes in the monitored areas of life satisfaction, emotional stability, insight, self-control and aggression, while on scales representing personality disorder no positive, statistically significant effect was observed. For later re-offending prisoners, the changes were...

TAMCHYNA, M. Personality Depravation in Forensic Psychology. Dissertation. Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Arts, Department of Psychology Advisor - PhDr. Miluše Urbanová, CSc. Co-advisor - PhDr. Alena Marešová, Ph.D. Abstract: The dissertation addresses the issue of negative personality changes understood as personality depravation. The introduction discusses their increase in normally socialized (non- criminal) population and states the need for a solution of this problem. The term depravation, which is taken from clinical practice, is analyzed from a theoretical perspective in the first part of this work. This research also builds upon empirical surveys of personality of groups of juvenile and adult convicts and non-delinquent control groups, which are described in the second part. Long- term empirical surveys repeated every decade (1979 - 2013) focus on personality depravation and are based on comparative analysis of standardized and quantified data - sociodemographic data, analyses of criminal activity, personality assessments using a standardized inventory of tests designed to ascertain personality depravation, and case histories of delinquents (n=1660). Generalizations of the findings are used to capture trends of personality change in convicts. The third part of this work describes the...

Working with prisoners and the formation of standardized programs
Bajcura, Lubomír ; Šotolová, Eva (advisor) ; Sochůrek, Jan (referee) ; Černíková, Vratislava (referee)
In the year 2007 for the Prison Service of the Czech Republic the new treatment program for offenders of commercially motivated sexual abuse of children became preferred. Community is very focused on this area of criminality. In 2007 there were 1 205 of abuse of children. Getting over the long-standing taboo has criminological consequences, which has been confirmed by records on sexual abuse and maltreatment in personal files of dangerous offenders. Therefore, special treatment with offenders of sexual abuse of children represents part of the fight against the most serious criminality and contributes to protection to the most vulnerable members of our community. Commercially motivated sexual abuse of children has been frequently accomplished through a third person that uses pressure or violence on a child. That is why offenders deny their guilt before both the community and their own conscience. The standardized program should guide an offender towards recognition of reasons and consequences of his/her criminal activities. The research part of this thesis concentrates on how the program is perceived by both the offenders and the realization team. The huge potential of the educational part of the program, where facts and theoretical information on the specific criminal activities play the formative role, was...

Illess as the opportunity to care and consideration
Kalábová, Helena ; Hogenová, Anna (advisor) ; Schlegelová, Jaroslava (referee) ; Sochůrek, Jan (referee)
The study called ILLESS AS THE OPPORTUNITY TO CARE AND CONSIDERATION Is fenomenologically focused on a variety of seeing the world affected by an illness. Bio-psycho-social-spiritual model of illness is generally understood as the integration of the figures concerning body, mind and socially-spiritual conditions. The solution is arranged in a multi-feature attitude to the therapy, involving bodywork and psychotherapy in terms of mindcare aiming to reach recovering changes, respectively metamorphosis. The basis is found in respect to the body-organism as a self-organizing system creating its own world coming from self-relating autopoiesis. Showing respect to patients brings unexpected theoretical and therapeutical options, concerning that issue there is the contraversion of traditional kartezian western thinking with radical contructivism, which as a new-age empirically advenced alternative of scientific positivism is apparently not fully practised in medicine nowadays. Illnes is seen as disaretation-exasperation,disbalance.Treatment in terms of techne on kartezian thesis puts emphasis on total organism rehabilitation but health in terms of physis cannot be brought back anymore.
