Benešová, Lucie ; Plevová, Kristýna (advisor) ; Fulín, Petr (referee)
This thesis deals with the effect of High Intensity Laser on soft tissues and postsurgical scars in the ankle joint area. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part presents a summary about ankle joint traumatology and its surgical management. Further there is also information about wound healing, scar formation, their examination, assessment scales and treatments. Last but not least there is a description about the laser mechanism, effect and treatment use. The main focus point of the practical part is to discover the effect of the High Intensity Laser used on soft tissues and postsurgical scars in the ankle joint area. A sub-objective is to evaluate the high power laser effect on pain reduction in the treated area. Methods: There were 20 probands tested in the practical part (average age 42,3, SD ± 13). The intervation group (n = 10) has applied High Intensity Laser Therapy (HILT) on postsurgical scars. The control group (n = 10) haven't HILT. The Observer Scar Assessment Scale (POSAS) was used for scar evaluation and pressure algometer was used for pain evaluation. Results: There was statistically proven that High Intensity Laser Therapy has an effect on pain reduction on level of significance α = 0,05, (p = 0,0047). According to the POSAS, results...
Physiotherapy with dynamic neuromuscular stabilization elements in oncological patients after mastectomy
Háblová, Karolina ; Aujezdská, Eva (advisor) ; Plevová, Kristýna (referee)
The bachelor's thesis deals with physiotherapy with elements of dynamic neuromuscular stabilization in oncological patients after breast ablation. The aim of the practical part is to use objective measurements to evaluate the benefit of preoperative and early postoperative physiotherapy on the patient's overall recovery. The evaluation took place three times - as a part of preoperative treatment, after surgery and after the end of the physiotherapy intervention. For this, postural locomotion tests (diaphragm test, intra-abdominal pressure test, quadruped rock forward test and test of a 3-month-old supine position), measurements of inspiratory and expiratory chest circumferences, range of motion measurements on the upper extremities and cervical spine, and measurements of arm circumferences were used. It was found that physiotherapy had a positive effect on the overall recovery of the patients. In addition, the elements of the DNS have been shown to be a suitable adjunct to the analytic exercise and could be used along with other proven methods in post-mastectomy women-patients. Keywords: Dynamic neuromuscular stabilization, breast cancer, muscle dysbalance, physiotherapy, mastectomy

Title: Use of Mulligan Mobilization Techniques in Patients with Distortion of Ankle Joint Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with distortion of ankle joint and Mulligan Concept application issues. The main purpose of the thesis is to use the Mobilizations with Movement techniques (hereinafter referred to as MWM) in patients who suffered ankle joint sprain. With the thesis being divided into theoretical and practical parts, the former one presents the issue of ankle joint using anatomic point of view and kinesiology viewpoint. The following chapter deals with ankle joint distortion with regards to its most frequent cause, a risk of development of CAI (chronic ankle instability), appropriate treatment and physiotherapy. At the end of theoretical part is presented Brian Mulligan and his concept. The practical parts consists of casuistry on two themes. Both of them include initial examination, therapy goals definition, description of physiotherapy intervention and final examination. In order to be able to assess therapy results, the author chooses the Knee to Wall Test and Two-scale-stand Test methods as parts of both initial and final examination. In addition, the author compares initial and final values of ankle joint locomotion extent goniometric gauging, lower limbs girth anthropometric gauging, pain...
The use of passive correctors on the treatment of hallux valgus in combination with individual physiotherapy
Soejonová, Eliška ; Plevová, Kristýna (advisor) ; Benešová, Lucie (referee)
OF BACHELOR THESIS Name, surname: Eliška Soejonová Supervisor: Ing. Kristýna Plevová Title of bachelor's thesis: The use of passive correctors for the treatment of hallux valgus in combination with individual physiotherapy The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of hallux valgus deformity. This static deformity of the foreleg affects almost a third of the world's population and is one of the most common causes of foot pain. The deformity disrupts the kinesiology of the foot, increases the risk of falls and generally reduces the quality of life. Treatment using methods of physical therapy mainly includes active exercise and facilitation of the muscles of the foot. Hallux valgus deformity can also be treated with passive correctors. Objectives: The main objective of the bachelor thesis is the treatment of hallux valgus deformity using a combination of passive correctors and individual physiotherapy. A partial goal is to improve the values of the measured parameters - that is, to reduce pain, increase the activity of the intrinsic muscles and reduce the size of the hallux valgus angle. Methods: As part of the practical part, 3 patients with symptomatic hallux valgus deformity were selected according to the criteria and underwent a 30-day physiotherapy intervention. This consisted of 6 individual...
