Third republic in Podebrady

The proposed diploma thesis "The Third Republic in Podebrady" focuses on town Podebrady during years 1945-1948. The work provides the reader with a comprehensive overview of events at the end of the WWII. It also describes the period of liberation and the arrival of Red Army and Allied troops. Furthermore, the thesis investigates various events, that took place in Podebrady in the time of so-called Third Republic. The establishment of Municipal and District National Comitte is explored as well as their activities. Besides that, the work deals with actions of the National Security Corps (SNB) and with the development in schools and in industry in Podebrady, especially with the process of nationalization in glass and spa industries.
Antitrust policy from a point of view of institutional economics

This bachelor thesis called Antitrust policy from a point of view of institutional economics is considered to be a sort of enlargement of conventional approaches of antitrust policy toward different market structures. It begins with a short introduction into antitrust and basic causations of market structures, conduct of market entities and total performance. The central point of this paper concerns an analysis of different market structures and the anticompetitive and pro-competitive behaviour they initiate. In each chapter, the optimum approach of antitrust policy I provided as well as the extent and form of intervention designed to eliminate the anticompetitive impact of such structure and spur the efficiency. The analysis reflects not only the conventional economic principles, but contributes with the institutional ones. Many of antitrust litigations are mentioned in this paper to demonstrate the link between the theory of market competition and the practice. First, the paper focuses on horizontally and vertically integrated firms. Then it discusses a particular market industry - the network industry that creates a specific market structure. Adoption of childern by homosexual couples and individuals

My diploma thesis' topic is Adoption of children by homosexual couples and individuals. The first chapter focuses on history of homosexuality from antique period to holocaust, it describes it's biological and social background and shows how different societies held different attitude towards it. The second chapter is aimed on czech lands, Czechoslovakia and nowadays Czech republic. The third chapter describes development of movements and organisations which protect human and civil rights of homosexuals and lesbians and points out the most important of them. It also considers problem of AIDS and change of sex comprehension during 1960's. The forth chapter tracks jurisfical history of homosexuality in Czech republic and describes registered partnership. The fifth chapter describes forms of adoption of children by homosexuals in Europe and draws up arguments for and against the adoptions. The sixth chapter shows forms of the adoptions in particular european countries and public voice in European Union. It also considers persecution of homosexuals in world and in Europe. The last seventh chapter advises how and what to learn from the countries which already have legalized adoptions of children by homosexual couples and individuals.
Anti-Aging as the Support of Independence in the Old Age

This bachelor thesis titled Anti-Aging as the Support of Independence in the Old Age covers the topic of population aging, which nowadays becomes particularly topical. The work describes the position of the Czech Republic on this problem and what measures are being prepared to overcome issues related to this topic. The thesis builds on the document "Národní plán přípravy na stárnutí na období let 2008 až 2012" (The National Aging Preparation Plan for 2008 to 2012) prepared by the Czech government and on a new medical field known as the anti-aging medicine. The author attempts to compare both attitudes to population aging and to draw conclusions that might lead to a solution of these issues to which the current society is being exposed. Organized crime in the Czech Republic

Diploma thesis is focused on "Organized crime in the Czech Republic", includes a theoretical part and research. The teoretical part defines the notion of organized crime and the types of groups that perpetrated. Furthermore, the work presents the most common forms of organized crime and institutions such used to fight both nationally and internationally. Finally, there is outlined the situation in the Czech Republic and those groups that are in our country most often perpetrated by organized crime now. Research part examines whether the frequency of articles on the subject in the selected journal corresponds to the actual situation and widespread forms of organized crime in the Czech republic in 2015. The context was given to data obtained from the content analysis of the largest number of articles of particular forms of organized crime and was compared with interviews carried out by experts estimates and research. The result was that the data corresponds with 2/3 and the only major difference became violent organized crime, which occurred in a number of articles on second place, but it is no longer among the most frequent activities of organized groups in the Czech Republic.
Quality of life of childhood cancer survivors: Results of the second stage of longitudinal study QOLOP

The Brno Quality of Life Longitudinal Study of Paediatric Oncology Patients (QOLOP,N = 225) is a prospective longitudinal study of the quality of life of children and adolescents after treatment of pediatric cancer, which was started in 2006. This paper summarizes the main results of the second stage of this study. Three studies that dealt with longitudinal trends in quality of life, changes in the level of depressive symptoms and predictors of posttraumatic stress and posttraumatic growth, showed that more important than objective medical data (type of diagnosis, severity of late effects) are personality characteristics (negative emotionality) /nand parenting factors, i.e. factors that are not primarily related to the disease and can be suitably influenced.
