HRUBÁ, Kateřina. Bullying in elementary schools in connection with Ukrainian pupils. Prague, 2023. Thesis. Protestant Theological Faculty of Charles University. The diploma thesis entitled Bullying in elementary schools in connection with Ukrainian pupils deals with the problem of bullying in elementary schools. It is primarily aimed at Ukrainian pupils who attend Czech schools as a result of the war conflict, but it deals with this negative phenomenon in general, its forms, prevention, solutions, etc. The theoretical part consists of 2 chapters, the 3rd chapter is devoted to research. The main goal of my diploma thesis is to find out whether Ukrainian pupils are bullied in primary schools. A qualitative research strategy is used using the technique of semi-structured interview.
Reflection of users' satisfaction with the crisis beds for children

This diploma thesis focuses on crisis intervention in children and adolescents. The theoretical part defines information about crisis and crisis in chlidhood, adults and focus on providing crisis intervention. The author is based on the notion that crisis is a natural part of human life and that the resilience and coping of the individual, which is built from childhood, contributes to its management. In the next chapter, autor describes the types of service which offer crisis intervention for children in the Czech republic. The main part is about crisis servises which offer accommodation for children and adults in difficult life situation. This chapter is followed by a practical part. The aim of the research part is to find out the satisfaction of clients with the crisis bed service for adolescents in the House of Přemysla Pittra for children. In 2022, the House was transformed from a facility for children requiring immediate intervention to a social service that provides crisis intervention to adolescents. It is currently the first service of this type in the Czech Republic. Peer consultants as a means of handling crises while working for the Police of the Czech Republic

The master thesis Peer Providers as a Means of Support during Crises for the Police of the Czech Republic explores the role of peer providers in assisting police officers during times of crisis. The theoretical section of the thesis explains the concept of crises, including their causes, typology, and progression, while also showcasing various means of assistance available during such situations. It presents an overview of the Police of the Czech Republic and highlights the requirements and unique aspects of police work, emphasizing the associated burdens. Furthermore, the thesis delves into the options of psychosocial support offered to police officers within the Police of the Czech Republic, with particular focus on the peer support system provided by peer providers. To gather empirical data, the research conducted semi-structured interviews with ten police officers who serve as peer providers within the Prague Regional Police Directorate. Through this research, the study examined the role of peer providers in helping police officers navigate crises. It explored the circumstances under which police officers seek assistance from peer providers, elucidated the procedure followed for providing support, and investigated the reasons why police officers turn to peer providers. 1 Abstract The aim of the thesis 'Power in the Helping Professions' is to describe the specifics of power in the relationship between the helping party and the recipient of the help. The work presents possible theoretical concepts through which we are able to analyse power relationships within helping professions. Furthermore, the thesis highlights the theory of the dependency triangle. The theory can be used to better understand the relationships in which power is used to meet the needs of the 'more powerful' party in the relationship. In the second part of the thesis, the issue of power is embedded in the orphanage setting and, in the educator-child relationship in the orphanage. This part offers an application of the dependency triangle concept for the purpose of power positions and power relationships reflection among the helping professions.
Burn out syndrom at healthcare social workers

The subject of this bachelor is ,,Burnout syndrome Health social workers" This work was created on the basis of my interest, because I am interested in burnout syndrome and in health social work, which I would like to work in after graduating from this study programme. The thesis deals with the problem of burnout syndrome between health social workers and appeals to critical information about prevention of his rise. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part is describes the term burnout syndrome, his symptoms, phases, diagnostics and prevention. Helper syndrome is described here too and caddish with burnout syndrome and stress. Further in this part it describes the profession of a health social worker, his education, competency, ethic, types of clients, multidisciplinarity and at least risks for beginning burnout syndrome in health social workers. The practical part is to utilize the quantity method of research with questionnaire. Participants of this research were 123 people and dates were analyzed by standardized method MBI - Maslach Burnout Inventory.
Tasks and challenges of a communication specialist in a residential service for people with intellectual disabilities

MITROLIOSOVÁ, E., Tasks and challenges of a communication specialist in a residential service for people with mental disabilities. Prague: CHARLES UNIVERSITY. Faculty of Evangelical theology. Bachelor thesis. The aim of this work is to present the work of a communication specialist in a residential service for people with mental disabilities and what tasks and challenges he encounters. First, I will mention the concept of person and mental disability, which I will link in the next chapter. In the case of mental disability, I will describe its division, with a focus on communication. I am detailing the specifics of mental disability so that we can better orient ourselves in the given topic. I will mention a person with a mental disability as a client of the residential service. I will stop at that topic and introduce the concept of individual planning, where I focus on the client, understanding and communication. This brings me to the description of the professional and personal prerequisites of a communication specialist. Annotation This diploma thesis, The needs of primary schools teachers at different stages of their carrers covers the topic of human needs of teachers at a specific primary school in Prague. The motivation for the diploma thesis came not only from working in the primary school where I have met teachers already for many years and I have perceived their various life situations and changes, but also the study of the hermeneutic course within my study of Community Crisis and Pastoral Work - social welfare work. The theoretical part of the thesis presents the concept of a human need, more concretely specifies higher human needs following Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. The needs of meaning according to Viktor Frankl are defined and also spiritual needs, which are introduced in the view of different authors. Social work with mothers using illegal drugs

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of drug addiction - both on a general level and for the addicted mothers with children specifically. In the introduction is presented the basic framework of drug addiction, how addiction can be defined and also recognized. Then, for the overall context of the topic, I present how the drug problem is approached at the international level and within the Czech Republic, including regulation of drugs use in the Czech legislation. In the context of prevention, I describe ways, in which this problem can be prevented. The next part of the thesis deals with the issue of drug addiction among women. Here I introduce the factors, leading to the development of addiction, what other problems may be associated with drugs use, what makes the addiction in the case of women specific, and then I move on to the effects of the mother's drugs use on the child, mentioning the rights of the child, who finds itself in a such situation and how it can be protected from the problems, caused by it's mother. In the last chapter, I describe social work with drugs users, what specific social services these people can use, and finally I deal with social support and reintegration for mothers, struggling with having drugs problem. This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of community gardens and their overlap into the field of the social work. The thesis focuses on the reasons for the creation of the community garden DivyZná in a foster home in Krásná Lípa, the first community garden in foster home in Czech Republic. This thesis draws on social work theories, such as social ecology, philosophy of the natural world and the concept of empowerment and participation. The aim is to present the benefits of community gardens in the field of social work and to show how a community garden can help naturally establish relationships, inclusion, education and empowerment and participation.
