Stoicism, Buddhism, Christianity - Similar Motifs and Fundamental Distinctions

Vypsané téma "Stoicismus, buddhismus, křesťanství - podobné motivy a zásadní odlišnosti" jsem si zvolila z několika důvodů: a) zaujal mě samotný nápad porovnat na první pohled zjevně odlišné myšlenkové proudy, b) ani o jednom z uvedených směrů jsem ve chvíli, kdy bylo téma zadáno, nevěděla více informací než základní fakta. Téma pro mě představovalo výzvu, vnímala jsem ho jako podnět bližšímu seznámení se s učením stoicismu, buddhismu a křesťanství. Nejen proto, abych získala hlubší vhled do problematiky těchto filosofií, jsem se rozhodla věnovat se komparaci stoicismus, buddhismus, křesťanství. Práce má být příspěvkem vymezení tří odlišných modelů člověkovy filosofické a náboženské sebereflexe. Získané poznatky hodlám uplatnit při výuce.

Freemasonry in the Viewpoint of Religious Studies

This thesis is based on the studies of the Free Masonry phenomenon in the view of religiosity, together with the problem, how this phenomenon views itself. It contains the origin of Free Masonry in the period of the Enlightenment, its history, ideological views, structure of organization and its attitude to civic society and the churches. The thesis brings a concise outline of the lot of Czechoslovak Free Masons in the first half of the 20th century.

The Way of Thoughts of the Evangelical Theologist Prof. ThDr. Jan Heller

This thesis presents the world of thoughts of Prof. ThDr. Jan Heller (1925 - 2008) which ranges from theology, namely the Old Testament theology, to the study of religions. This overlap between theology and the study of religions is proved as highly productive. The paper also deals with Heller's approach to the world - with religious philosophy that is formed by the biblical message and draws on the philosophy of Martin Buber. The paper also examines the influences of Heller's direct teachers - theologians Slavomil . Daněk and Karl Barth on his work. Within the field of the religious studies the paper is concerned with the responsive hypothesis - a theory of the origin of religion that Heller offers as his own contribution to the study of religions. The thesis also deals with the distinction between religion and religiosity, with theory and theology of the ethical turn during the Axial Age, with Heller's approach to the non-theistic religious systems and examines also the possibilities of an interreligious dialogue between Christianity and the non-theistic religions. Heller's studies in the field of ancient religious systems surrounding the old Israel are dealt with as well. Heretical Movements of Early Christianity

Na príkladu stežejních predstavitelu rane krestanských herezí bylo poukázáno na jejich obsahovou propojenost s posléze vítezným smerem reprezentovaným (proto)katolickou církví, byly predstaveny jejich stycné plochy i spolecné body, stejne tak jako stránky odvrácené a vedoucí k veroucným sporum, které církev formovaly. Predstaveny byly zpusoby, kterými odlišné názory na osobu a cinnosti Ježíše pomáhaly ustanovit církevní dogmata i kánon, i jejich popis, který ukazuje ruznost pohledu na zvest o Spasiteli. Nazírání na Ježíš jako na Krista se lišilo v závislosti na kulturním a spolecenském prostredí recipienta a to nejen v proudu heretickém, ale i katolickém, a tak jsme svedky mnoha ruzných výkladu, které dosahovaly i cisté protikladnosti. Bylo tedy poukázáno na významový potenciál výkladu cinnosti Ježíše v prehledné a shrnující forme.

An Existential and Non-religious Interpretation of the Christian Faith

V této práci jsme analyzovali koncepty nenáboženské a existenciální interpretace křesťanské víry. V úvodu jsme si kladli spolu s Robinsonem otázku, zda lze tyto pokusy označit za reformaci analogicky k reformačnímu hnutí v Evropě patnáctého a šestnáctého století. Zdá se, že se Robinsonova naděje, že tyto pokusy o interpretaci evangelia rozpohybují podobný proces, jako se to povedlo v reformaci, nenaplnila. Přestože byly tyto pokusy zaměřeny na moderního, sekularizovaného člověka, zůstal tento člověk vůči této řeči hluchý. Možná to bylo způsobeno nejednoznačnou terminologií a určitou intelektuální náročností, kterou se nenáboženské interpretace vyznačují. Odhady a charakteristika "čtvrtého člověka" také neodhadly moderního a tím spíše postmoderního člověka přesně. Ano, do určité míry je takový člověk skeptický vůči všemu nadpřirozenému. Má výhrady vůči náboženským mýtům, zázrakům a dogmatům, zároveň však tento člověk hledá duchovní útěchu v nejroztodivnějších typech náboženství a duchovní sféry.

Sosyphus - life as the constant problem solving

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of: "Sisyphus - life as the constant problem solving : The Sisyphus-topic as the point of contact of two different circles, A. Camus' existentialism and K. R. Popper's critical rationalism". Sisyphus, who was sentenced to never ending and nonsensical work, leads us to Camus' interpretation of the character in his work "The Myth of Sisyphus". The figure of Sisyphus depicts the symbol of human's life for Camus. Life is characterized by the permanently present awareness of death and absurdity of life itself. This absurdity is based on the silence of the world - as a kind of answering the question about the meaning of life. Camus' message remains optimistic. He overcomes the absurdity through affirmation. The active human being with his rebellion is the answer. Popper neither uses the term "absurdity" nor "absurd". Equally he does not work with Sisyphus-Symbol. But we use the term "Popper's sisyphismus" in this thesis which means the following: Popper advocates, in his critical rationalism, that human being is fallible, the human's reason is able to critical thinking and his destructive (his ability to falsify is meant) activity can bring us closer to the truth. Vaclav Havel and His Philosophical Talent

The thesis deals with the talent for philosophy of a playwright, politician and thinker Václav Havel (born 1936). It examines in what ways is Havel's talent for philosophy active, where it finds its fulfillment and to what degree it has been meaningfully put in practice. In the first chapter the author briefly characterizes the concept of a philosopher and discusses some deceptive notions which are commonly associated with philosophers. The following three chapters reveal Havel's world of ideas and the way Havel works with philosophical topics. The author does so by presenting the themes of responsibility, of the relation between the being and consciousness, and on the problems of the natural world. Havel's approach is always compared with that of other philosophers. In the concluding chapter, Havel's main thinking qualities as well as their limits are described.

Religiosity and Its Development in ČR

This bachelor thesis deals with the development of religiosity in the Czech Republic after the year 1989. Its aim is to give a short summary of this 20 year-long period. As a necessary introduction the historical context is summarized in the first chapter. The second chapter is focused on the position of churches during the time of the velvet revolution. The next chapter describes the social changes that happened after the revolution and shows the position of the churches in the society. The fourth chapter is analysing the population censii results of the Czech Statistical Office. Its aim is to give an overview of our traditional religious scene. It also mentions some research work that was done in this area. The fifth chapter is dealing with the phenomenon of new religious movements and their activities in our country. A few of them are characterised at the end of the chapter. The last chapter gives a summary about the most important facts.
