Barriers in Education of Mothers on Parental Leave

This Bachelor's thesis focuses on barriers in further education of mothers on parental leave. It aims to find what the specifics of these barriers are, as compared to the wider adult population. Mothers on parental leave are considered a specific group in the job market as well as in the field of education; therefore they need to be given special attention. The first part of the thesis defines further professional education as a part of lifelong education and introduces the surveys representing the base for my own survey, and also introduces some of the factors that influence the perceived barriers in education of mothers on parental leave. The detection of barriers in further education of mothers on parental leave was carried out in a quantitative survey. Specifics of Employee Adaptation in Foreign Language Environment

This thesis is focused on the new employee adaptation (orientation) process taking place in a foreign language environment. The major subjects of this study are the specifics (phenomena) which may occur during this process. Based on previous research findings, the process of adaptation is first defined in the following three areas: as a social psychological process (1), as an adaptation process in intercultural environment (2) and as an adaptation process in the work environment (3). Attention is also paid to some of the most relevant aspects of the migrant integration policy in the Czech Republic. The main purpose of the research is to prove or disprove the presence of the phenomena (difficulties) accompanying the process of the new employee adaptation (orientation) in a foreign language environment and subsequently to identify and describe these phenomena (difficulties). Methodology used for the research is explained within the empirical part of the thesis, as well as the outcomes of the probe, its interpretation and discussion. Cyril O. Houle's Concept of Adult Education

The master's thesis is focused on work of Cyril Orvin Houle, key thoughts and the influence on a theory and a practise of the adult education in the United States of America. The key objective of the thesis is introduce Cyril Orvin Houle's work, analyse primary and secondary sources and find key thoughts of the topic of the adult education. Papers and journals are described into details, which illustrate the beginning of his career and current topics, on which he responded, and selected professional and popular science publicatons. His works are set into a context of a development of the adult education in the USA and inspirational sources are identified. On the basis of the analysis results of documents, it can be concluded that key thoughts are self-directed learning, motivation of adult lerners to connect into education activities, vocational education conception in the USA and education programmes planning.
Reflection of the Most Important Leadership Theories in Academic Periodics in the Years 1990-2014

This bachelor thesis focuses on content analysis of articles of academic journals, that are concerned with Leadership, in period between years 1990 to 2014. The aim is to create a summary of the most cited Leadership theories in academic journals in period between years 1990 to 2014, based on the content analysis. First, Leadership is defined and the evolution of understanding of Leadership is explained, then the most important Leadership theories that came to an existence before the year 1990 are introduced. Next, the procedure and methodology of the content analysis is described and the results are presented, which are subsequently being reflected upon. The most important Leadership theories in period between years 1990 to 2014 are finally introduced independently.
