Reaction of Czech freight transport to the Covid-19 pandemic: national statistics and the example of a transport company

The aim of this master thesis is to analyse and to describe the influence of the world wide pandemic of Covid 19 on czech freight transport. Firstly the analysis is focused on the national point of view, where we compare the alterations in volume and performation of the czech freight transport during the years 2015-2021. Further off, the thesis describes the government's anti- epidemic regulations and compensations, which relate to transport. Chronology of goverment's regulations makes interpretive framework for case study of ESA logistics s.r.o. company, which is one of the biggest companies of its kind in Czechia. The case study is focused particulalry on economic and operational impacts on the society during the pandemic. National progression of freight transport is evaluated by statistic analysis of data from the statistical yearbooks from Ministry of transportation, from legal documents issued for the carriers, articles written by carriers and other reliable sources. The case study of ESA logistics work with internal company data, articles as well as semi-structured interview with one of the executives. Specifics of senior education

Aged people study to give a reason to their life, to raise their self-confidence and to improve their social status. But that is not all. It is mostly psychological, fyziological and social problem. Emeritus person is, unfortunately, usually drove out to the edge of society and is called useless. For a lot of seniors is this feeling an impulse to prove that they are still able to do some work. In connection with this feeling it is needed to separate life of a person to three periods, which are bound to the ability of doing work. In the first period the person is thinking of his education - he studies. In the second period he concentrates most of his attention on the possibilities of his professional application and in the third period he focuses on creating the evenfall of his life, when the orientation on the material being is fading away. A person is mostly turning back to his suspended plans and unfilled educational dreams. (Ten years of educational activities for seniors, 1997)
The institutionalized seniors education

The aim of the thesis is a pointing out the importance of educational activities in senior's life. The attention is focused on institutionalization of seniors education, its community support and educational possibilities for seniors. In the thesis are defined some basic concepts, the name of the science about seniors education, its subject and its position in the science system. Further there are noted some circumstances which was contributing to its formation, the importance of education both for seniors and for community. The attention is focused also on community support for seniors educational activities at the international, European and national level, on the preseniors and the seniors education.
Stress in the workplace

This BA thesis deals with the issue of stress and work-process-induced stress in particular. The introduction provides definitions of the conceptions of stress, stress reaction, and stressors. Further, an overview is presented of working load, where stress plays the above-limits role. The thesis focuses on stressors specific for the field of work and their manifestation according to certain professions, form of management of stress situation with the help of coping, the influence of personality characteristics for stress management, as well as definitions of the burn-out syndrome. The concluding part introduces some evaluation methods of workload and connection of work stress with the state of health.
Burnout syndrome

Syndrom vyhoření sdružuje řadu příznaků, které doprovázejí ztrátu původního nadšení a motivace. Podmínkou konečného vyhoření je počáteční entuziasmus. Postižený jedinec nejprve pro nějakou myšlenku, obrazně řečeno, vzplane, zahoří. Když po určité době usilovného snažení pocítí, že mu ani největší zanícení nepomůže dosáhnout cíle, začne pozvolna doutnat… Je emocionálně vyčerpaný, méně výkonný a straní se lidí, ke kterým si vytváří odosobněný vztah. Syndrom vyhoření bývá definován situačně specificky, tedy ve vazbě na povolání postiženého. Společným jmenovatelem profesí, které působí zvýšeným rizikem syndromu vyhoření, bývá kontakt s lidmi. Typicky se vyskytuje mezi příslušníky pomáhajících profesí: lékaři, zdravotními sestrami, psychology, učiteli, manažery. Ti se setkávají s překážkami, které někdy pociťují jako nepřekonatelné. Toužili kdysi léčit, učit, vést zaměstnance či prodávat, ale postupem času získali nepříjemné zkušenosti o tom, že všechny nelze úspěšně vyléčit, naučit, vést či motivovat ke koupi. Ztrácejí vůli ke smyslu.

To sum up my work l' d like to evaluate all my knowledge obtained during my studies, practice or information found in literature. l' ve realised that people are the most important part of every successful organisation. Thať s why iť s necessary to take heed of him.A man is a member of society, a social creature.He' s different needs and of course there are different ways how to satisfy him.The ways of satisfaction can influence his approach to moral or the meaning of life. A man spends a great part of his life at work. Thať s why his job, his profession should satisfy him it should become not only the necessity but a certain kind of entertainment as well.
Competencies of a lecturer in pedagogy of experience

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to characterize the most important competencies of a lecturer, who uses methods of experience pedagogy. The word "competency" means required abilities, knowledge and personal characteristics as well as different tasks and related authority of a lecturer. One part of the thesis deals with competencies of lecturers of social-psychological trainings. That is because these trainings are focused on social competencies which are essential for lecturers in experience pedagogy. The last chapter focuses on evaluation of lecturers. Specifically I describe a system of evaluation in an NGO called "Jules a Jim", mainly the process of creation of a competency model of a lecturer using methods of experiential learning. On the basis of the results of the evaluation I would like to propose recommendations on training lecturers at Jules a Jim.
Work motivation

This work focuses on the motivation of a labor activity and on motivation tools which can be used by an enterprise to stimulate its employees. The motivation is a complex inner process affected by a group of individual personal needs and interests and also by a lot of external incentives. Through the work activities, we aim to satisfy specific kind of needs such as need for achievements, need for success, need for self-fulfillment etc. I present the most known theories directly focused on the labor activity motivation, e.g. Maslow's hierarchy of needs, Herzberg's two-factor theory, Alderfer's ERG theory, McClelland's theory, theory of expectation, rightness or target etc. Because at the end, the stimulation target from the enterprise point of view is an increase of the quantity and quality of the employee outputs, I also focus on the demand for the output and the related motivation factors. In the work I describe motivation tools which can be used by an enterprise to stimulate its employees and I also target the conditions of creating and operation of the motivation program. At the end of the work, I address motivation tools of my current employer (under fictional name "AZ") and I attempt to evaluate their effectiveness.
Theoretical resources of education during old age

Elaboration of the following text was primarily motivated by an effort to contribute toward propagation of awareness of a sense of education during old age and potentialities and limits of its practical realization. With utilisation of statistics, internetional documents and conclusions of assorted researches it is adverted to an evident discrepance between considerable expectations on education of elderly persons and its real situation, background and popularity within the present Czech society. What naturally couldn't stay out of interest is a theoretical comprehension of gerontagogy - a relatively modern science concerning with education "in old age and for old age", which I regard as a further, greatly advanced, qualitative stage in a process of differantiation and specialization of education sciences. A public demand that stands behind its formalization is widely associated especially with a worldwide trend of demographic aging. This trend represents - not only for gerontagogy - a major, unexplored area that raises many questions. What orientation of education in gerontagogy will prevail in future? Will its economic or humanitarian dimension win? Will education be adopted by old people themselves as an obvious part of a lifelong development and will it turn into a fulfilment of a responsible approach...
