Development of a methodology for calculating the residual stresses of a weldment in the Salome Meca software environment
Babišta, Jan ; Pokorný, Jan (referee) ; Vosynek, Petr (advisor)
The usage of welding in the process of manufacturing has become very widespread, mainly due to its low cost, versatility and the possibility of its automation. With its expansion comes higher demand for the possibilities of weld evaluation during the phase of design. Nowadays its possible to use tools based on finite element method for such evaluation. But the most commonly used tools are often very expensive. Therefore, the possibility of using Open-Source tool such as Salome-Meca to simulate the welding process as an alternative to commercial software was investigated. The first part of the work deals with the welding process and a description of the formation of residual stresses and deformations. It also deals with the description of the Salome-Meca software environment and the Code-Aster solver. In the next part the capabilities of the software in relation to problem of welding simulation are discussed. Furthermore, the goemetry of solved weldment, welding conditions, material properties and boundary conditions of the calculation are described. And finally, the individual solutions, their results and disadvantages of used approaches.
Ernst Cassirer and ethnolinguistics
Pokorný, Jan ; Vrhel, František (advisor) ; Korecká, Zuzana (referee)
Ernst Cassirer dealt the linguistic form to make his point and document the thesis of his culture philosophy. In addition to the common philosophic idealism working on the I. Kant's philosophy, first of all it was the idea of the cultural heterogenity, its purpose and common trend of its development. His ideas concerning the relation of mind and symbolic forms can be compared with the modern lines of the cognitive science, first of all connectionism and enactivism. The language according to Ernst Cassirer has got other fonction than the other cultural forms and these functions influence its form. The language according to Cassier does not present a copy of the reality but it includes a specific way of the conceptualisation for which is typical greater concretedness unlike other cultural forms. On this basis Cassirer creates evolutionary succession of linguistic phenomenons that supposes lower position of the non- European languages. Although some similar attempts can be traced nowadays, it is not possible to accept Cassirer's linguistic evolutionism or another one. The features of primitivism and forwardness cannot be generalized for any division of primitive and forward languages and the forwardness criterions used by Cassirer do not fit. Cassirer's idea of the linguistic development approximately...
EMG study: Nordic hamstring exercises vs. isometric training
Kudláček, Jiří ; Slabý, Kryštof (advisor) ; Pokorný, Jan (referee)
Bibliographical record: KUDLÁČEK, Jiří. EMG study: Nordic hamstring exercises vs. isometric training. Prague: Charles Univerzity, 2nd Faculty of Medicine, Department of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine, 2020, 79p. Supervisor MUDr. Kryštof Slabý. Abstract This thesis is an EMG study, which examines an electric activity of knee flexors and m. quadriceps femoris during 3 types of exercises: Nordic hamstring exercise, single leg sliding leg curl, and isometric contraction. The theoretical part summarizes anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology of the musculoskeletal system, as well as the principle of surface EMG. In the experimental part, the EMG study was conducted on 20 healthy individuals aged 20 to 30 years-old. Each patient underwent an applied kinesiology procedure and subsequently went through an 16 channel surface EMG technique. The aim of this work is to compare the maximal and average value of the EMG amplitude of particular muscles during each exercise. While providing Nordic hamstring exercise and single leg slide, the light was shed on a question of whether there is a statistically significant difference between activation of m. biceps femoris and m. semitendinosus in terms of EMG values. The following phase of the thesis scrutinized the timing of hamstring muscles during Nordic hamstring...
Kinematic analysis of running in children aged 6 to 8 years
Hrachovcová, Monika ; Slabý, Kryštof (advisor) ; Pokorný, Jan (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the biomechanics of running and the kinematic analysis of running in children aged 6 - 8 years. The paper consists of two parts. The first part deals with the biomechanics of running and its development, running injuries and describes the kinematic analysis of running. The PubMed, the ScienceDirect Database and sources of the National Medical Library and of the Charles University were searched for creating this theoretical part. The second part describes the experiment - methods and its results. 70 children were recorded during overground running at spontaneous speed. The obtained video recording was measured using the Kinovea 0.8.12. program. The video was scrolled through frames and three moments of the stance phase (initial contact, midstance and moment toe-off) were detected. At these moments selected angles in the sagittal plane were analyzed. These angles were described in the terms of descriptive statistics. Certain characteristics subdivided the cohort into two groups. These were compared in kinematic parameters to determine statistically significant differences. The obtained values from the experiment are discussed and compared with the the values from the recent literature dealing with kinematics of running. At last the suggestions for further research are...
Preventive examination of sportsmen in Czech republic and comparison of physical parameters occuring in different disciplines
Vrbík, Michal ; Slabý, Kryštof (advisor) ; Pokorný, Jan (referee)
The aim of this work is to document the content and extent of preventive checkups of sportsmen in Czech republic. The content of obligatory checkups will be examined upon its impact on preventing serious injuries of the movement apparatus as well as diseases of circulatory system and other internal systems. I am going to describe typical abnormalities of myosceletal apparatus which may increase the possibility of acquairing acute or overuse injury. Consecutinely an exemplary phenotype of a sportsmen will be presented. I chose fotball and I will describe the typicall aberrations which potentionally lead to trauma of the movements apparatus including typical injuries. The work will also contain a case report of examination of footballer. I will then compare the findings with the typical phenotype of footballist described in literature.
System of Motivation in the Company
Pokorný, Jan ; Konečný, Štěpán (referee) ; Putnová, Anna (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals the analysis current incentive system in society and the subsequent proposal for its improvement. First part is theoretical basic for the problematic of motivation. In the theoretical part are explained the basic concepts associated with motivation of employees and we will focus on human resource management too. The next section analyses the current situation in selected company. On the basic of the analysis I will develop proposals that will increase the motivations of the employees.
Mechanical design of impact simulator under reduced gravity
Melichar, Marek ; Pokorný, Jan (referee) ; Návrat, Tomáš (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the development of the concept of a mechanical device that would meet the necessary requirements to achieve a successful simulation of reduced gravity or microgravity on the tested body at its impact. The choice of a suitable mechanism is based on a literary research of all available variants and highlight of their specifics. Target values are created for the selected method of testing, upon reaching which the concept will be considered successful. In order to verify the functionality of the concept, a mechanism is assembled on a smaller scale. The individual components of the mechanism are tested and carefully selected. All essential physical processes taking place in the system are mathematically described and combined into a MATLAB script. A separate application is created to calculate the behavior of the system based on the specified input parameters.
Analysis of the influence of different weld geometry model on fatigue strength of a weld
Holeta, Aleš ; Pokorný, Jan (referee) ; Vosynek, Petr (advisor)
The work was focus on the analysis of the fatigue life of a simple welded joint. The main goal of this work was to compare different methods of evaluation of welded joints and different methods of creating a geometry of computational models. Calculations were per-formed analytically and numerically. The numerical solution was performed using FEM. The problem was analysed in the open-source program Salome Meca and in the commercial pro-gram ANSYS Workbench.
