Screw conveyor
Kaňa, Vojtěch ; Pokorný, Přemysl (referee) ; Jonák, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with proposal tilted screw conveyor in term of calculation and construction solution of tilted screw conveyor for sludge transportation in waste water treatment plant. There is a calculation of the basic parameters, proposal of gearing, proposal of bearings and strength calculation of the main parts. In the attachment we can see drawing documentation.
Pressure drop in modern pipeline
Přikryl, Pavel ; Pokorný, Jan (referee) ; Elcner, Jakub (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the development of pipeline materials and especially aims on the current trends. It describes metal, plastic and multi-layer materials. Following part compares and evaluates these materials. This work includes a project and a realization of a model circuit in order to compare price and pressure drops of different pipeline materials.
Formula Student Wheel Design Using Composite Materials
Jelínek, Josef ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis represents a step for performance improvement of a Formula Student race car monopost of TU Brno Racing team at Brno University of Technology. A detailed research focused on light automotive wheels and suitable materials is only a beginning of this work. Its main part is choosing a light weight wheel concept, creation of a new wheel design and its simulations by finite element method. A deep analysis of vehicle dynamics aims to find the most accurate input data for the simulations. The development of a new wheel is intended to cooperate with the latest monopost generation, Dragon 7. The best choice including the desired material properties is made to use composite materials. A new CAD wheel model had been created. It was recreated into a simulation model and analysed afterwards. The analysis output data are compared to some of the best alternatives among the market and the results confirm this project has a great potential. Therefore the next procedure is projected.
Acausal modelling of termomechanical problems using Modelica
Shestakov, Andrey ; Elcner, Jakub (referee) ; Pokorný, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis was the development of a library for solving thermodynamics tasks in Modelica. The library contains models of cycles working with both the ideal gas, and the real substances. The main part of the work is the description and modeling of Steam Rankine Cycle and Organic Rankine Cycle that are applied in Waste Heat Recovery (WHR). The working principle of both cycles is similar. The main difference is in the working fluid. In this work, we give a technical economical assessment of the application of ORC system in concrete industry for energy costs reduction. The change of ORC parameters with the choice of particular working fluid is the main task of the thesis. Based on the simulated model results for selected working fluids (water, Cyclopentane, Toluene, Heptane, R123 and R245fa), we concluded that the highest efficiency was achieved with R245fa refrigerant for Organic Rankine Cycle in case of selected initial conditions.
Technology of extrusion
Cháma, Jakub ; Řiháček, Jan (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is a literary study dealing with extrusion technology and is aimed to be used as a study material. There are described basic principles of technology, the division of methods, used materials, machines, tools and the area of usage. The main focus of this work is to depict advantages and disadvantages of extrusion technology and its application in practice, which is supported by the example of usage in one of the Czech companies called Vítkovice Cylinders.
Laser cutting
Baran, Marek ; Mrňa, Libor (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
The thesis elaborates cutting of thick sheet metal using the laser technology. Beside technological aspects of laser cutting, the project also deals with utilising laser technologies in practice and compares laser cutting to other ways of cutting sheet metal. The experimental part, which was realized in STEELTEC CZ, was concerned with optimization of focal point for cutting 20 mm sheet metal of S235JR. The samples which were cut on a CO2 laser were compared to samples made by plasma and water cutting machines. The researched parameters were roughness, shape, time and price.
Vertical worm conveyor
Sordyl, Martin ; Pokorný, Přemysl (referee) ; Malášek, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is realization of functional calculation, design creation of vertical worm conveyor according to required parameters and consideration of transported materials. Here is realized calculation of main parts of the conveyor, approximate transport performance, design of propulsion, gear, conjuction and regulatory unit, emplacement of worm and strength control of functional parts of the machine. This thesis is composed of technical report and drawings.
Solution to the mechanism of a screw jack
Blecha, Jan ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
The presented bachelor thesis deals with the mechanism of the screw jack in terms of basic design calculations as well as in terms of production technology. The following part deals with basic division of the workshop lifting equipment, the design of the lifting device and, last but not least, the design of the production technology. Further attention is paid to the technical and economic view of the manufacturing process of the screw jack mechanism and the possibility of improving both the production process and the construction itself.
Production of GPS holder on FDM 3D printer
Šebesta, Vít ; Šeniglová, Hana (referee) ; Zemčík, Oskar (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is dealing with design and production of a model holder for GPS using 3D FDM printer. Three models were created by the Autodesk Inventor Professional 2015 and they were economically and technically assessed. Then model No.3 was chosen for detailed analysis. The important methods of 3D printing and appropriateness of using different materials such as ABS and PLA are also discussed in this thesis.
Belt Conveyor for a bulk material
Fiala, Lukáš ; Jonák, Martin (referee) ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with construction design of belt conveyor, which is part of woodworking chipper line. The main task is design height adjustable and folding belt conveyor for transporting wood chips and the slope of transport is to 45°, traffic performance of 7000 kgh-1 and 6 m length of the conveyor. The thesis includes a search report of angled belt conveyors, next function calculation of belt conveyor according to norm ČSN ISO 5048, design of drives derived from the tractor, strength calculation of driven drum, frame construction and control calculation of tensioning devices. The work is accompanied by required drawing documentation.
