Design and implementation of a platform for control LLC-type inverter with a wide input supply voltage range using a FPGA circuit
Pokorný, Ondřej ; Levek, Vladimír (referee) ; Prokop, Roman (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the emulation of LLC converter control with a wide input voltage range using a created emulation platform. The first part of this work is focused on the design of resonant converters with a wide input voltage range. Based on theoretical knowledge, an adjustment of the emulation LLC converter is made. The converter modification is concluded with a simulation, where the correctness of the design and the fulfillment of the ZVS parameter in the entire input voltage range are verified. In the next part of the work, an analysis of the control issues of resonant converters, more precisely LLC type resonant converters, is carried out. The acquired knowledge is used for the design of a new emulation platform, which will serve for the emulation of LLC converter control with a wide input voltage range. The last part of the work is the creation of an emulation program for FPGA in SystemVerilog language. The work is concluded by verifying the functionality of the emulation on physical hardware.
Automatic generation of typical schematics in CAD/CAE system
Fiala, Jan ; Kolář, Milan (referee) ; Bátora, Branislav (advisor)
This thesis is devoted to the design of a functional solution for automated generation of type schemes based on defined input parameters of the considered structures. The first part of the thesis includes an introduction to design and basic design documentation standards, control systems with field instrumentation. Then it focuses on the selection of suitable CAD/CAE software with a more detailed description of the chosen software and some of its features. The practical part first introduces the generated parts and the modifications to the initial schematics and documentation required to support automated generation. The process is presented with the generation procedure using concrete examples of documentation. The output of the thesis is represented on two sample projects that includes generated schemas using the proposed methodology.
Exotarium ZOO Brno
Kučera, Jiljí ; Wittmann, Maxmilian (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor)
The topic of the bachelor thesis is the design of a pavilion for the Australia - New Guinea exhibition in Brno Zoo. The building serves mainly as an exposition and home for exotic species of birds, small mammals and fish. The building should meet all the conditions of buildings for the public, working conditions for employees and animal welfare. The area under consideration is located in the premises of the Brno Zoo, in the northern part of the district of Bystrc. The construction site is located roughly in the middle of the zoo at the crossroads between the Tropical Pavilion and the African Village. The relatively sloping, irregular plot is accessible from the north and east sides by a campus road. The kangaroo enclosure is directly adjacent to the west side, while the bison and camel enclosures are located to the north, across the road. The resulting design consists of a two-storey building that follows the contour line of the site. It is a building composed of two regular masses of rectangular plan. The upper smaller mass is superimposed on the lower larger mass. The pavilion includes indoor and outdoor aviaries, terrariums, aquariums, staff facilities, animal facilities and food preparation. The facade of the Exotarium imitates the red rock typical of Australia. It is made up of an ETICS system to which a moulded polystyrene layer and a painted surface will be added. An extensive green roof with aviaries is proposed on the main building. The design includes a small plaza to provide shade for visitors. Two buildings are proposed within the square - refreshments and public toilets. The bachelor thesis is based on documents in the form of assignment, dwg drawing of the cadastral situation and architectural study from the course BGA036 - Architectural Atelier 5.
Design of a device for measuring the electrical resistance of soldered joints during fatigue tests
Kopřiva, Pavel ; Tomíček, Pavel (referee) ; Otáhal, Alexandr (advisor)
This thesis deals with design of device capable of measuring electrical resistance of solder joints during fatigue testing. The theoretical part contains a list of fatigue tests as well as various principles by which the device can be created. The practical part then describes the proposed solution for this device, its construction and testing.
Design and implementation of countermeasures against side-channel attacks on an FPGA platform
Kuřina, Petr ; Jedlička, Petr (referee) ; Dobiáš, Patrik (advisor)
Currently, significant progress is being made in the field of digital systems and cryptography, requiring adequate security against various forms of attacks. Special attention is paid to development on the FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) platform, which provides flexibility and performance for implementing diverse applications, including cryptographic algorithms. This semester thesis focuses on the systematic analysis of possible leaks of sensitive information from the implementation of a cryptographic scheme on the FPGA platform. The FPGA platform is presented in the work, including HDL (Hardware Description Language) programming languages such as Verilog or VHDL. It then presents a general overview of side channels and their types, countermeasures, and a~detailed description of security techniques. The next chapter is the AES cryptographic scheme and a description of its operations. There is a chapter devoted to a comparison of current articles on the issue. The following is a description of a professional workplace, such as an oscilloscope or a Sakura-X (Sasebo-GIII) hardware board. In the final part, the measurement results are presented without any measures, only the AES algorithm is implemented, and then in the next part there is a countermeasure proposal, which is implemented and measured. The results are described and subsequently displayed in graphic form.
Design of 3D printed CubeSat structure for mission KOSTKA
Návrh a optimalizace konstrukce svahovací lopaty
JŮZA, Jan
The master thesis deals with the design of a slope shovel. The literature part of the thesis deals with the classification of excavators according to size, type of chassis, and type of boom. Subsequently, an overview of working tools and a description of their purpose is given. The aim of the thesis is to design a slope shovel, therefore the thesis mentions the program in which the shovel will be designed. The following part of the thesis is devoted to the determination of the parameters that the design should meet. In the main part of the thesis a description of the different parts of the model and the procedure for their manufacture is given. The final part of the thesis is devoted to the development of the strength analysis of the model and the financial evaluation of the shovel design.

The Ideal City Ostrava: The Gap on Masaryk Square
Daňová, Barbora ; Štefková, Barbora (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Jan (advisor)
The gap area on Masaryk Square has been a neglected long time. Nowdays it looks unaesthetic. The location is significant, because it is placed in the historical center of the city. It is ideal for design of a representative building that will attract visitors with its modern concept and also with a reference to history of the city. The architectural design responds to the surrounding development and functionally it reacts to the issue of lack of housing in the center of Ostrava. It is an apartment building with public commercial space in the first two floors. A courtyard is designed in the center of the area, and it remains open to the public. The design is attractive for its modern view on traditional architecture. The building supports the current architecture in Ostrava and also reinforces the historical meaning of the place as a unit.
