Playing the recorder at primary school

The diploma thesis deals with the implementation of playing the recorder in Music lessons in primary education at elementary schools. It observes the runnings of lessons and pupils' final abilities. A brief description of children's musical development can be found in the theoretical part. It is followed by an introduction to Music education. Important chapters on the recorder, its history, playing techniques and various teaching methods are included. Several publications about teaching the recorder are presented at the end of the theoretical part. Teachers can get inspired by them for their lessons of Music. The thesis contains ten lessons that have been created and then put into practice. Each lesson introduces my own methodology and a worksheet with pictures and sheet music, feedbacks and recommended adjustments or changes. The aim of the diploma thesis is to find out whether it is possible for learners to learn playing the recorder in lessons with a high number of pupils. Therefore, the thesis also shows results of the research. The results are confirmed by the final abilities of pupils after the Music lessons.
Cross-curricular relationships physics - biology in physics teaching in basic schools

My bachelor's thesis deals with the interdisciplinary relationship between physics and biology and It's teaching at the second stage of primary school. In the introduction I focus on the trend of intergrated teaching and interdisciplinary relationships in general. In my bachelor's thesis we can find individual physical phenomena from biology textbooks. In the chapter called "Analysis of selected physical phenomena in biology textbooks" I will focus on sound and light. At the end of the bachelor's thesis I also mentioned some suggestions for practical teaching in schools.
The utilization of the elements of the Feldenkrais method in an individual with a headache

Title: The utilization of the elements of the Feldenkrais method in an individual with a headache. Objectives: The aim of this thesis was to assess the effect of exercising certain elements of the Feldenkrais method on individuals suffering from long-term headaches. Four exercise units containing elements of the Feldenkrais method have been created and evaluated with the aim of reducing the frequency and intensity of headaches and improving the range of motion of the cervical spine. Methods: The methodology of the work was a mixed research in the form of a quasi- experiment. The observed set consisted of 13 persons suffering from headaches - 12 females, 1 male, aged from 21 to 38 years old (average of 30,3 years). The research part of the thesis focused on assessing the impact of 8 weeks of doing exercises with elements of the Feldenkrais method on the range of motion of the cervical spine, and the intensity and frequency of headaches. The intervention consisted of exercising in the subjects' home environment twice a week for a duration of 8 weeks according to individually designed plans containing elements of the Feldenkrais method. This work is focused in teaching DNA. The aim is to determine whether the subject matter of the nucleic acids rather biological in nature, or rather the nature of thechemical. The work is concerned with explaining the concept of nucleic acid and its types and functions, as well as view into the history of teaching about DNA and analyzing the current situation in the CR and abroad. Finally, the opinions of teachers are devoted to assessing and evaluating the results of some studies.
The Possibilites of T'ai Chi Lessons for Elderty in the Prague

Title: The possibilities of T'ai Chi lessons for the elderly in Prague Objective: Main goal of this bachelor thesis is to find out what are the possibilities of T'ai Chi lessons for the elderly in Prague. The goal is to map available T'ai Chi schools in Prague, find out where T'ai Chi can be practiced and whether schools offer special lessons for the elderly. In the introduction, the thesis aims to characterize Tai Chi as a martial art, explain the term elderly and describe the effects of T'ai Chi. Methods: The method of data collection was a study of available literature, mapping of Prague area with the focus on possibilities of T'ai Chi lessons for the elderly, as well as telephone interviews with representatives from the given T'ai Chi school. Results: I found out that there are many opportunities to practice T'ai Chi for the elderly in Prague. There is a high density of school in the city centre, in the outskirts T'ai Chi school are much more infrequent. Out of fourteen asked schools, only four offer specialized lessons for the elderly, yet many elderly visit the remaining schools. Keywords: T'ai Chi, Chi, elderly, lessons, health
