Independent regulator as a public authority
Klimentová, Eliška ; Pomahač, Richard (referee)
This dissertation thesis presents the elaboration of the issue of Czech independent authorities on the basis of empirical data. For the purposes of the dissertation, an extensive dataset was created, which covers 16 central administrative authorities, the Czech National Bank and the Supreme Audit Office monitored in the period 1993-2021. The dataset also contains data on the heads of these institutions, their professional backgrounds, links to political parties and chances of completing their mandate. A sub-objective of the dissertation is to conduct a quantitative assessment of the formal (de iure) independence of the institutions based on the internationally used Gilardi index. The results of the assessment are useful for categorizing independent administrative authorities and for comparing them internationally. The assessment of formal independence primarily represents a first and necessary step for follow-up research, and the results are included as input data for subsequent analysis. For the purposes of this thesis, a Gilardi index was constructed for 18 Czech institutions (a total of 394 individual independence index values) since 1993. In order to compile the index, it was necessary to analyse the legal regulation of the institutional set-up of the surveyed institutions, including the...

Thus, in the case of Gilgi, One of Us, the focus lies primarily on society during the Weimar Republic, the concept of the new woman is introduced, and as far as the literary context is concerned, the literature of the new objectivity is discussed. The analysis shows that the protagonist Gilgi corresponds to the concept of the new woman. Her inner attitude, built on diligence and discipline, is the basis for her ambitious dreams of getting as far as possible through her own efforts. In the case of The Women as Lovers the status of women in the second half of the 20th century is underlined, the feminist-oriented literature of the 1970s is introduced, and the protagonists Brigitte and Paula are portrayed as women...

Internal Political Development in Montenegro - From the Fall of Yugoslavia to Independence
Lucovič, Matěj ; Žíla, Ondřej (advisor) ; Hofmeisterová, Karin (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the events that led to the declaration of independence of the state of Montenegro. The aim of the thesis was to determine factors, which influenced the internal political development in Montenegro and to what extent the crisis and the disintegration of Yugoslavia, the rise and rule of Milo Đukanović, the Montenegrin-Serbian national question and the very coexistence of the two republics in one state were involved. The thesis traced the development of Montenegro from the death of Josip Broz Tito in 1980, which launched the end of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, to the declaration of Montenegrin independence in 2006. It turned out that the personality of Milo Đukanović and his political actions played a big role, transforming his political career from a communist prominent into a hegemon of Montenegrin politics in resistance to Serbian pressure, especially from the parties of the local leader Slobodan Milošević. The complexity of the problem, which consists primarily in the multitude of variables and the interconnectedness of events, became apparent in the search for an answer to the research question.
