Stanislav Mokrý, Ph.D. This master thesis focuses on sponsorship activities for athletes pursuing individual sports who do not have their own sport manager. The study investigates the issue from the perspective of both the athletes, looking for a sponsor, and the companies, offering the sponsorship opportunities. The athletes were questioned in a detailed survey while in-depth interviews were applied to address company representatives, aiming to determine factors leading to a match between the supply and the demand of the sponsorship. Based on outcomes of both surveys, practical recommendations for athletes are given in the thesis.
Sponsorship of the Czech handball club

Title: Sponsorship of the Czech handball club Objectives: The main objective of this diploma thesis is to create a sponsorship package to address and potentially gain the general sponsor of the Czech handball club TJ Sokol Nové Veselí. Methods: In this diploma thesis, qualitative methods are used - analysis of texts, documents, websites and social networks. Furthermore, a semi-structured interview was conducted with the vice-president of the club. Semi- structured interviews were also conducted with representatives of selected companies. Results: An analysis of the current situation and the interviews showed that the club does not currently have a comprehensive sponsorship package. Communication with sponsors always took place individually on the basis of specific negotiations and a comprehensive form was lacking, which reduced the effectiveness of negotiations. For this reason, the first part of the work focuses on the analysis of the current situation, the possibilities and the offer of counter-services that the club can offer. Based on this, one basic package was created, as the interviews showed that this strategy is more effective for the club. Title: Sport event management: Jizerská 50 Goal: The aim of the master thesis is to create proposal and suggestions for the 50th Jizerska 50 and the next upcoming event. Methods: In this thesis was used the qualitative analysis of Jizerska 50 - form of case study, participant observation, semi-structured interview and complemented by the SWOT analysis. Results: The result of master thesis is the set of proposals, which are based on the knowledge and results of Jizerska 50 in previous years and its SWOT analysis. Analysis revealed the possibility of applying new variations for the 50th Jizerska 50 and the next upcoming event. Also suggestions for project management effectiveness, sponsorship and event program. Title: Sponsorship of MARO Ski&Snowboard School Objectives: Identification of a sponsor's motivation for supporting MARO Ski&Snowboard School, analysis of the current sponsorship state of the ski school MARO. Methods: Qualitative research through semi-structured interviews with the representatives of the sponsoring companies of the MARO Ski&Snowboard School. Results: Sponsors have strong motivation and relevant reasons for supporting the ski school MARO, companies are aware of the specific benefits of the sponsorship and evaluate the cooperation very positively. There are signed long-term sponsorship contracts which are particularly based on a mutual confidence and good personal relations. This diploma thesis deals with sponsorship and ambush marketing in sport. Its goal is to define the nature, character and use of sponsorship and ambush marketing in sport. This work deals with consumer behavior and examines how sponsoring affects consumers in various places and on various occasions, and how sponsoring in general is perceived by the consumer. Quantitative research, eye-tracking and in-depth interviews have been used in the practical part of this thesis. Based on the results of the conducted research, recommendations for practical applications were made.

Title: The proposal for a sponsorship business concept for a selected extreme athlete Objectives: The main goal of this thesis is to create the proposal for business cooperation for prospective sponsors of a selected extreme athlete. Methods: The thesis uses the method of in-depth interviews, electronic questioning and document analysis. In-depth interviews are done in cooperation with a selected extreme athlete for whom is the proposal created and also with his sponsors. Electronic questioning is used to map sponsoring of the extreme kayaking in the world and the respondents are world lead sponsored riders from the whole world. Secondary research, the data analyses, was made from the available primary electronic resources. Results: The result of thesis are two specific proposals from potential sponsors. The proposals were created on the basis of a detailed analysis of a selected extreme athlete whose profile and functioning of current sponsorship was illustrated by in- depth interviews with current sponsors. The questionnaires for the recent best riders were made for better orientation in field of sponsoring extreme kayaking. Title: Sponsorship of Big Shock Racing Team and their cooperation Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to suggest new sponsorship offer for potential sponsors of Big Shock Racing Team and realize how the team cooperate with their actual sponsors. Methods: The main method used in this thesis is qualitative method, specifically several interviews with a driver of Big Shock Racing Team Martin Macik Jr., who deal with sponsorship in their team. The method of analysis and observation were used too. Results: From the interviews I realized that the team does not currently have complete sponsorship offer. They try to negotiate individually with their partners and try to fulfill their individual requirements. First of all the current situation was analyzed and than, four sponsorship packages were created to help the team with their future sponsors. The theoretical part of this thesis focuses on defining the concept of sponsorship and its position within the business and marketing strategy of a company. The practical part of this thesis focuses on the analysis of sponsorship activities of companies that are partners of the minor field Sales Management. The research is based on personal interviews with the top managers of these companies.

Title: Management of the sport event Chance 3x3 Tour Objectives: The aim of this master thesis is to evaluate the organization of the sport event and suggest concrete arrangements for improvement of the upcoming years. Methods: The analytical part of the thesis was conducted through the qualitative research. Qualitative research methods, which are used in this work, are hidden observation, document analysis, unstructured interview and SWOT analysis. Results: There were suggested some recommendations on the basis of the SWOT analysis for the upcoming events. Analysis of the action revealed some shortcomings that should be eliminated thanks to these recommendations.
