This thesis deals with the European Union's perspective on human rights violations in People's Republic of China with main focus on Tibet. It looks into relationship between European Union and China, which affects the whole view of this problematics. The Thesis distinguishes basic concepts and characteristics of human rights as well as state's sovereignty rights. It maps the most significant events in history of Tibet during the invasion of Liberation Army and inhuman operations that continue today. This thesis endeavours to answer the question whether the European Union is trying to deal with the Tibet issue and if so whether it's policy is effective in resolving the Tibetan issue. The thesis also imply whether Tibet has the right to self-determination and to be a liberty state.

The problematics of the evolution of euthanasia and assisted suicide in the United States of America in relation to the development of global human rights

My thesis addresses the question of how the issue of euthanasia and physician-assisted dying in the United States of America has been evolving in relation to the development of human rights. Taking a long-term view, arguments of the current debate on the issue of evaluation of both practices, euthanasia and physician-assisted dying has revealed the persistent controversial stance on moral justifications of ethics dissonance and the economic response. The point is to illustrate the scope of the dissociation by analyzing arguments and counter- arguments in relation to the question of the bilateral interweaving and interaction with respect for fundamental human rights and a synopsis of the ethics of dying that take into account the abuse of euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide. The interpretation of the development of the attitude of American society and the American medical diaspora has been reflected. In euthanasia and physician-assisted dying debates, analytical synopsis of the development of tolerance in American society in the context of rational choice in view of the economic, ethical, and religious assumptions and the possibility of an alternative option have been critically scrutinized. The creation of a state by way of separation (secession) from an existing state This thesis attempts to map the current theoretical approaches to state secession as well as explore the approach of international law to this issue. The thesis is split into two main parts. The first, theoretical part, consists of four chapters and covers the basic definition and other aspects of a state, like the elements of statehood, the creation of a state, theories of recognition of a state, de facto and de jure states, state succession in international law etc. Then it moves on to the introduction of the topic of secession itself. It offers multiple definitions of secession, divides secession into types, provides a brief history of secession and discusses concepts like the right of peoples to self-determination or the principle of territorial integrity. Then, the thesis covers a range of so-called explanatory theories of secession. Explanatory theories attempt to describe various elements that affect secession. The last chapter of the first part describes three so-called normative theories of secession. The roles of non public non profit organisation Pohoda in increasing quality of people's life mental retardation

Bachelor thesis looks at the issue of quality of life for people with mental disabilities. The thesis informs about the basic categories of non-governmental organizations. Furthermore,it acquaints us with the Association of Welfare and its services. In addition, the thesis describes personality of human with an intellectual disabilities and classes of mental retardation. The practical part consists of notes from the personal experience of NGO's Pohoda. The applied interviews were prepared with clients of the Pohoda. For that purpose has been used qualitative methods of semi-standardized interview. In conclusion, the thesis asks a question of improving the quality of life through self-determination.

"Better Red than Dead": American Indians' Struggle for Sovereignty Rights in the 1960s and 1970s

In my thesis, I argue that the Native American activism of the 1960s and 1970s does not fall into the category of Civil Rights Movement because of its significantly different goals, and that the fundamentally different character of sovereignty rights also keeps the Indian struggle invisible in American understandings of U.S. political and social history. According to my analysis, the terms tribal sovereignty, self-determination, and treaty rights describe the ultimate goals of the Native American activists in the 1960s and 1970s the best. The decade between 1964 and 1974 witnessed the rise of radical Indian activism, which succeeded in reminding the general public and politicians that Indians are still present in the United States. Furthermore, it influenced a whole generation of Native Americans who found new pride in being Indian. However, this current of American activism is not known so well by the general U.S. public. This thesis will describe this state as "selective visibility" deriving from U.S. selective historical memory, only noticing and remembering those events and images concerning Native Americans that can be simply understood, somehow relate to the U.S. set of values, and fit in the national historical narrative.

The value of the Child's Wish in the Contemporary Pracities of the Proceedings Regardiny the Adjustment of Legal Relations towards Minor Children

This Diploma Thesis is focused on the issue of the value of a child's wish in the framework of the divorce/break-up settlement. In the theoretical part of this thesis, the child's status, its right to participate and the means of ensuring that in the mentioned framework are presented. In this thesis, the term child's wish is also discussed in the context of defending child's own interest. In the last chapter of the theoretical part, there is illustrated the suitable way how to interview a child. The aim of the practical part is to, through half-structured interviews with the professionals taking part in this process and an analysis of those interviews, answer the main research question: How do the professionals taking part in the divorce/break-up settlement perceive and deal with the child's wish in this process? The research part of this thesis is also focused on the possible space for change in the contemporary attitude towards children as participants of trials.

Legality of the realization of the right to self-determination of nations in the form of unilateral secession Abstract This rigorous thesis deals with issues of statehood, nations, the right of nations to self- determination and its realization in the form of a unilateral secession. The key issue is the mutual relationship between the right to self-determination of nations and the right to territorial integrity of the state. This thesis deals with two main research questions, whether the unilateral secession can be described as a legal possibility of the state. Furthermore, which principle has more relevant in contemporary public international law in the assessment of unilateral secession: the principle of self-determination of nations or of the whole of the state. In the first chapter, first attention is devoted to the concepts of state and nation, and two fundamental principles of international law, namely the principle of self-determination of nations and the principle of territorial integrity of state territory, are analyzed. The second chapter introduces the most important theoretical approaches to secession theme, such as J. R. Wood, M. Hechter, D. L. Horowitz and especially A. Buchanan's Remedial theory. 11 Summary This bachelor's thesis "Support for Young People with the Choice of Career, Focused on Austrian Social Measure Jugendcoaching" describes the difficulties of career choice by children and adolescents and is focused on the Austrian measure called Jugendcoaching. The first chapter of the thesis describes the period of adolescence, focused on searching for a new identity and career choice. In this thesis, the specifics of adolescents with special needs, was considered. The second chapter introduces support measures used to assist people with special needs in the Austrian labor market. The third chapter deals with Jugendcoaching, it describes the circumstances of its origin, the target group, methods of support, and its evaluation. The fourth and fifth chapter discusses the application of Jugendcoaching in Germany and the situation in The Czech Republic, respectively. This thesis aims to describe the Austrian measure Jugendcoaching, evaluate its effectiveness, and to sketch the problems associated with supporting young people with choosing a career in The Czech Republic.
