Impact of photovoltaic installation to the landscape
KOŘÍNKOVÁ, Zuzana
Initially, at the beginning of my bachelor thesis I am addressing renewable sources and especially I am concentrated on photovoltaic power plants. The boom market of phovoltaic power plants in Czech Republic was mainly during the year 2009 and 2010. The increased number of photovoltaic installations was caused by favourable purgase price of solar energy or green bonus guaranteed for 20 years. The goal of my bachelor thesis is analysis of enviromental impact of photovoltaic power plants on a landscape. The first part of my bachelor thesis is dedicated to description of types of renewable sources, law of the operation of photovoltaic power plants, photovoltaic energy and PV power plants, landscape and enviromental impact on it. The second part introduces description of 3 photovoltaic power plants situated at villages Čejč, Myslív and Kunštát which were all realised and all the information were provided by Ing. Roman Malivánek. In third part were processed results of questionnaire researches in which respondents were asked in a matter of photovoltaic installations and their impact on a landscape. The general assessment of questionnaire researches says that the solar energy is the most preferred, except of esthetic damage of a landscape, also the installations placed on agriculture fields. In general the photovoltaic energy is perceived as economical and practical source of renewable energy. The general opinion is that the photovoltaic installations should be limited on natural surfaces and expanded in settled locations, e.g. on the roofs of shopping centres, industrial halls, parking places, etc.

The thesis is divided into four chapters: the first one describes the issue of global warming, the second one characterizes the EU ETS, and third one shows the implementation of RES and the last chapter explores the interaction of the EU ETS and RES.
The role of renewables in the energy mix Czech Republic
Koukalová, Blanka ; Hladík, Miroslav (advisor) ; Czesaný, Slavoj (referee)
This thesis analyses the energy mix of the Czech Republic with a focus on the use and development options of individual types of renewable energy sources. It also considers economics of renewable energy especially in terms of production cost of electricity and the impact on the prices of electricity. The paper further analyses the current subsidies related of renewable energy sources in the country and forecasts such subsidies to 2030. The topic of the work is very timely as the future direction of the energy sector is the subject of intensive debate and negotiations, both at the level of the EU and the Czech Republic, namely in the State Energy Policy of the Czech Republic. The theoretical part defines the issue of renewable sources of energy and legislation related to the issue. It also deals with assessing the arguments of proponents and opponents of renewable energy sources and theoretical approaches related to renewable energy, specifically environmental and behavioral theories. Behavioral theory has a significant influence on decisions about the future direction of energy. The practical part focuses on the analysis of various types of renewable resources and subsidies related to renewable energy sources in the country. Furthermore we compare the models of energy systems and energy mixes of Czech republic and Germany, from both the current and future perspectives. We also evaluate the relationship of populations of the Czech Republic and Germany to renewable energy, which leads to the hypothesis that the development of renewable energy sources depends to some extent on political ambitions and objectives of the ruling establishment.
