Design of a device for measuring the center of gravity height of road vehicles
Hanych, Jaroslav ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Vančura, Jan (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with problems connected with measuring vehicle centre of gravity height. The research part summarizes generally known methods of measuring vehicle centre of gravity and moments of inertia. Essential part of this thesis is the design of a device for measuring the centre of gravity height of a road vehicle on a principle of measuring a period of oscillation. The height position of the platform of the device is adjustable through hydraulic cylinders. A stress-strain analysis of the design was executed through a combination of analytical methods and a finite element method. The process of measurement was described and an equation for determination of centre of gravity height was deduced. Error of measurement was estimated based on the knowledge of partial errors of measured values.
Measurement setup for DC, AC and transient testing of two-ports
Káňa, Vojtěch ; Hruboš, Zdeněk (referee) ; Šotner, Roman (advisor)
This master´s thesis describes about automated measurements of two – ports of frequency, time and DC area. Gradually, there is elaborated several theoretical foundations dealing with this issue. For example, different types of buses, available programs and general theory of two – ports circuits. Also a method for solving and implementing a measuring device for communication between apparatuses and DUT is designed and described. In conclusion, the results and evaluation of measurement are processed.
Tyre Radial Stiffness Measurement
Novodomský, Tomáš ; Vančura, Jan (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the radial stiffness of a tyre. The first part of is devoted to a brief description of a tyre construction. The next part is devoted to measuring the radial stiffness of a tyre and the design of a new measuring device. The last part of the thesis deals with the influence of the radial stiffness of a tyre on the vertical dynamics of ta vehicle and simulations of this effect in the MATLAB / Simulink software.
Measurement of parameters of the aircraft hydraulic systems
Bareš, Josef ; Třetina, Karel (referee) ; Bencalík, Karol (advisor)
This thesis summarizes current knowledge of the parameters of hydraulic systems of aircraft. Attention is paid in particular to the continuity of information and the introduction of the reader to the parameters of hydraulic systems issue and the procedures for their measurement. In the introduction the thesis deals with the properties of hydraulic fluids and their influence on the operation of hydraulic systems. Subsequently methods and instruments that are used for laboratory measurement of the parameters of hydraulic fluid are described. Furthermore, the thesis moves on to the topic of hydraulic systems for aircraft, individual hydraulic devices and fluids that are used in the air and for general operation of hydraulic systems. At the end of the thesis a balance sheet is prepared over the selection of suitable laboratory equipment for the measurement of hydraulic fluid parameters.
Design and implementation of improved measuring device for inductive sensors testing in temperature chamber
Šimůnek, Patrik ; Dřínovský, Jiří (referee) ; Šotner, Roman (advisor)
This thesis deals with the analysis of the measuring equipment for the testing of inductive sensors in the climatic chamber, which mainly highlights the faults and deficiencies of this device. Based on this analysis, a new measurement system is designed to eliminate these or all the deficiencies. Several new useful features are added to the new design of the measuring system.
Design of corrugation measuring device
Valena, Martin ; Omasta, Milan (referee) ; Galas, Radovan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes the development of experimental corrugation measuring device. In the first part, mechanisms of corrugation formation and classification of corrugation, together with an analysis of measuring devices are described. According to the analysis, several design configurations were developed. The final variant is described in detail, together with the calculations. The output of this bachelor thesis includes complete technical drawings and price estimation.
Photopolymer length variation measurement
Novotný, Jan ; Vejlupek, Josef (referee) ; Matějásko, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with development of a special measuring device designed to measure changes in lenght of a photoactuation polymer. The length of a sample of the polymer shortens by tenths of a milimetre by being lit by intensive light. The sample has to be preloaded by force. The data are processed by designed electronics and recorded in a computer in a utility application, developed for this purpose. The thesis is realized in cooperation with the Centre of polymer systems of the Tomas Bata Univerzity in Zlín.
Measuring device connected over USB
Flek, Tomáš ; Strašil, Ivo (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
In essence, this master’s thesis focuses on search and project on optimal electrical scheme, which will substitute for digital oscilloscope function. The thesis consist of three parts, first part is about problems associated with oscilloscope signal sampling and data bus descriptions, second part where are selected particular circuits, electrical scheme, eventually shown different options which could be used. Third part consists of software function description developed for controlling microprocessor. In choosing of analog devices, are focused on parameters like maximal input voltage on which the device has most ideal parameters, but also parameters, which are critical for particular block, like for example input impedance, device noise, operating amplifier input voltage and current offset. All devices were chosen with battery supply possibility, so what the lowest possible power consumption. In this thesis is theoretically described each circuit block and reasons for their selection.
Power LED Current Analyzer
Ryba, Ivan ; Vochyán,, Josef (referee) ; Šebesta, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis describes attributes of LED, especially high power LED. Evaluates posibilities of measuring the current passing through the high power LED device in the automotive industry. The basic requirement for the analyzer is adjusting it for the voltage and current through LEDs. Analyzer have to display the mean current and frequency. Additionally also minimum and maximum current, duty cycle and amplitude might me displayed. The central element of the device is ATmega16 microcontroller.
Analog IO simulator
Maslák, Petr ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with measuring device USB 6008. This thesis describes at the beginning properties of measuring device like count of channel, speed, accuraccy. Next chapter concerns with programming environment like MS Visual C++, CVI and LabView. The most suitable programming environment was chosen Labview. The result of this thesis is programm that can read and write analog samples, display signals in Chart, simulate first order dynamic system.
