Air Traffic Flows Analysis

Tomáš Kujal, Ph.D. The diploma thesis discusses the factors that affect routing and transport performance in the air transport. Besides the characteristics of these factors the main objective of this thesis is to quantitatively evaluate their level of dependence on the traffic performance of air transport. This is done by using the linear regression analysis. Based on this analysis, mathematical models of dependence of these factors on traffic performance are developed. The thesis also verifies the accuracy of these models and tries to find out which of them are usable and which are not. Their accuracy is mainly dependent on the selected track and on the type of airline.

This master thesis “The Study of Logistic Conception of Distribution Stock” deals with global operation of distribution stock in its entire levels with target to design efficient communication methods with costumer and suppliers. Based on analyses of actual situation it effort to identify general poverties and find proper methods of it’s solution. First chapter is based on theoretical part. It explains basic logistical principals as one of the elements of each organization. Second chapter introduces Arcelor Distribuce CZ Company from work place way of look. Third chapter is dedicated to risk management as a theory of identification and evaluation actual or potential risks company may treat with. Fourth chapter the largest one defines particular issues company has to deal with and issues which block company’s way of growth. Further there are introduced steps heading to solve these problems. This thesis sets a target to identify and design solutions of main problems in communication in the first place, which block company’s natural evolution.
Design of the Remedy to Improve the Market Position of the Firm

Liability of the carrier in international carriage of goods

It is expected that the massive expansion of carriage of goods that went on in past couple of decades will soon resume after the worldwide recession. Due to its flexibility, speed, ability to deliver "door to door", low price and other positive qualities the most popular type of carriage is carriage of goods by road, which is also the type of carriage of goods that this thesis is mainly focused on. The goal of the thesis is to describe and explain legal aspects of international carriage of goods by road with a special focus on the liability of the carrier. The most important legal regulation that governs the area of international carriage of goods by road is the Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road (hereinafter the CMR Convention) that has been signed on May 19, 1956. It is an exceptional piece of legislation, which is in effect for more then fifty years with only two minor changes since its adoption.
Carrier's Liability in International Carriage of Goods

The purpose of this thesis was to analyse and compare isseu of carrier's liability in international carriage of goods. Thesis is devided in seven parts, which offers outline of carrier's liability in particular modes of carriage. First part deals with term contract for the carriage according civil code, parts of this contract as well as another contracts which aim is carriage. Furthermore deals with term liability and put outline of distinction among strict liability and liability for fault. Last subchapter of first part describes term carriage. Second part describes legal framework of contract for the international carriage of goods and specifies distinction among choice of law and direct method. Remaining parts refer to carrier's liability according international treaties concerned with particular modes of carriage, i. e. international carriage of goods by road, by rail, by air, by sea and by inland waterways. Bigger attention is dedicated to third part which deals with carrier's liability in international carriage of goods by road. Emphasis to this part is given, because international carriage of goods by road is the most frequently one - especially from Czech point of view. The aim of the thesis was to describe and compare relations arising from carriage of persons or articles, namely liability of contracting parties according to individual contractual types. Another goal was to compare individual principles of liability. Kinds of liability of the contracting parties ensuring carriage services by the contract type are as follows: (1) carrier - carriage of the person (a) timeliness of carriage, (b) damage to health, (c) damage to baggage carried with the passenger, (d) damage to the article which the passenger had with him during carriage (e) damage to baggage carried separately from the passenger; (2) carrier - carriage of goods a) loss of consignment, b) destruction of consignment, c) damage to consignment, d) depreciation of consignment, e) exceeding delivery time; (3) operator; (a) incapacity of the means of transport; (b) damage caused by operation of the means of transport; (4) lessor - incapacity of the means of transport; (5) storage provider - storage and custody of articles; (6) freight forwarder - provision of carriage; (7) mandatory - informing the mandator about true fulfillment of his order. Competition in The Railway Passenger Market

The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the influence and benefits arising from the presence of competition in the railway passenger transport market for passenger and society. The thesis firstly analyses general characteristics of transport and furthermore aims in more detail at railway passenger transport. In this part it among other things deals with its history and characteristics including comparison with other transport alternatives. The second part describes agencies and institutions regulating transport companies, legal basis, rights and duties of the operators during the process of entering the rail market and its regulation during the performance of the undertaking given and finally the forms of competition in passenger rail transport. Next chapter is concerned with characteristics of the competitors. In the end the thesis evaluates the influence of competitive environment and argues, whether is the competition in the railway passenger market meaningful.
Renewal of selected vehicle in Volšatrans company

This bachelor thesis deals with the current state of Volšatrans transport company fleet, captures and evaluates its overall condition and subsequently recommends a proposal for its replacement. The change is made on the basis of the multi-criteria decision-making method, namely the TOPSIS method, the result of which is the output showing particular proposals for the replacement of the vehicle. This output may be in practice used by Volšatrans as a recommendation for selection of a suitable vehicle variant on the basis of their requirements.
