Professional training of pre-service teachers of biology in the field of scientific skills

In many cases, understanding the nature and validity of information presented on the basis of scientific knowledge is essential for application in contemporary society. Similarly, in line with the rapidly developing fields of science, technology and engineering, it is necessary to have enough competent people prepared to work in these areas. Consequently, scientific skills appear to be an essential component of scientific literacy, the development of which is the focus of pupil education in many countries. Teachers' attitudes towards the importance of scientific skills play a crucial role in pupils' education, as perceptions of their importance are the starting point for conveying their relevance to pupils and subsequently for their development. It is also important that teachers feel competent enough to teach these skills. A prerequisite for this is that they receive good and sufficient preparation in teacher education. Further professional education and development of the XY publishing house's call center employees

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of further professional education and the system of corporate education. The work is divided into two parts - theoretical and empirical. In the theoretical part, the basic terms associated with the concept of lifelong learning are defined, with an emphasis on terminology related to further professional education, employee development, human capital and career management. One of the chapters is devoted to the setting of the company education system and education strategies. In the empirical part, the identification of educational needs and the analysis of the system of corporate education of call center employees were carried out. The research was carried out at the XY publishing house in Prague. Based on the obtained data, a competence model of call center workers was designed and subsequently implemented into the employee education strategy. The investigations carried out show that the XY publishing house uses a systematic model of company education - it provides and enables employees to learn in various areas with regard to a specific profession and its qualification and competence requirements. The diploma thesis deals with the identification of methods of education of managers and finding an effective way to develop their competencies. Describes managerial abilities, skills and the process of systematic education and development. Line managers from the private sector are selected for qualitative research. The interviews reveal what methods they use for their personal development and what their preferred development methods are. Other managerial topics that come with a managerial position are not left out. What preceded the transfer to the role of manager? How do managers work with people? How do they develop them? Psychology of adult learning - The role of emotions in adult learning

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of the psychology of learning. It focuses on determining the influence of the type and intensity of emotions on learning and on coping with test loads. It focuses on connections between motivation to learn and retention in studies among adult students. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part, individual phenomena related to learning, testing and experiencing emotions by university students in the combined form of study are described. This section also describes the non-traditional student with the specifics that distinguish him from the traditional student. The barriers and pitfalls that the individual must face on during learning and the obstacles that he overcomes are also defined here. In the introduction of this section, research questions are asked and hypotheses that the work deals with are established. Mixed research and its implementation are described in the empirical part. Organizations in the Czech Republic, regardless of whether they are public institutions or private enterprises, are currently considering the need to digitalize their processes when transforming their activities. Especially in the past two years, the events of coping with the impact of the spread of COVID-19 have significantly influenced the needs and actions of social entities in the areas of work organization. This phenomenon has accelerated the use of digital tools in the field of further education building on changes in the manufacturing sector. For example, the concept of Industry 4.0 was promoted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. However, the increasing dynamics of the development and supply of digital tools for training is confronting training specialists in the private sector with the challenge of deciding which of the tools on offer are a real asset or just an ineffective experiment with no positive impact on their businesses. The Educational Role of the Václav Havel Library

The thesis deals with the educational role of the Václav Havel Library, i.e. its role in the field of adult education. There are several objectives of the thesis. In addition to introducing the library, analysing and characterising the cultural and civic impact of this institution on adult individuals who have attended at least five educational events in a one-year period, it is also to identify its impact on the development of democratic culture. The thesis also characterises the civic education of adults and their civic competences and describes the role of the Václav Havel Library within the framework of cultural andragogy, a field that is both approached and described in its historical context and through contemporary means. The aim of cultural andragogy is to support adults in acquiring cultural values and meeting the needs of self- realisation. Other cultural institutions involved in civic and leisure education of adults have an essential place in this thesis.
