Kompostování jako způsob zpracování potravinových odpadů
Tóthová, Katarína
This master thesis focuses on waste and waste management, with an emphasis on biodegradable waste, specifically food waste. The thesis discusses the legislative regulations in the Czech Republic and the European Union. Among other things, composting is considered as a possible solution to the waste generated. The practical part of the thesis evaluates the final product of composters to which additives have been added to reduce odour. The additives were added to the waste collection bins. The added additives include citric acid, tea tree oil and lime. In addition, compost without additives was also evaluated as a control sample. The composting lasted for 12 weeks. The pH and electrical conductivity were evaluated throughout the composting process and then the final product, i.e. the mature compost, was evaluated using phytotoxicity tests. The results showed that although the compost met the required pH and electrical conductivity values, it was found to be highly toxic. Even at a compost concentration of 10%, inhibition of plant root growth was shown, making the compost inapplicable to soil. Furthermore, even compost without additives was found to be toxic, with the cause of toxicity apparently being the waste used and not the additives. In view of these results, further investigation of additives is still needed. This thesis contributes to a better understanding of composting as a way of treating food waste and shows the importance of systematic monitoring of the quality of the final product.
A development of a child in a homoparental family (in the light of researches)

Tóthová, K. Strategic management of fitness center. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2017. The bachelor thesis deals with strategic management of the company called Triple Center. The aim of this thesis is to detect important factors that will be deci-sive in designing the adequate and feasible strategies necessary for the successful operation of the company. This purpose will be fulfilled on the basis of compre-hensive analysis of the external and internal surroundings. The first part of the thesis explains important terms and methods theoretically. These are used in ana-lyzing individual surroundings. The second phase so called the result part in-cludes methods called PESTE analysis and Porter´s model of five competitive forces through which external factors are identified. Factors of the internal envi-ronment are acquired by means of the principle of key factors. SWOT matrix con-sists of the most important parts founded from opportunities, threats, weakness and strengths. Formation of individual proposal strategies are based on connec-tion some of these factors and evaluating them. Besides, their function is to im-prove its market position. The selected strategies were also economically evaluat-ed by the owners.
Spoločenská zodpovednosť zákazníkov obchodov na Slovensku po spoplatnení plastových tašiek
Tóthová, Karin
Tóthová, K. Social responsibility of customers regarding charging for plastic bags in Slovakia. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University in Brno, 2019. This thesis deals with the social responsibility of customers in Slovakia with regards to the charging for plastic bags in terms of plastic waste minimization. Based on evaluation of consumers behavior, the aim of this thesis is to propose recommendations for retailers in the area of communication, aiming to improve general knowledge on social responsibility and environmental behavior. The first part of thesis concentrates on theoretical explanation of CSR concept from the business and consumer perspective and introduces relevant terms related to stakeholders, CSR communication strategies and standards. The second part of the thesis, the outcome part, contains the orientational analysis, secondary data analysis, quantitative and qualitative research analysis in order to understand consumers behavior. Based on the evaluation, we propose solutions to retailers which lead to increased awareness of social responsibility within environmental behavior. Eventually, these evaluation activities can also be applied economically.
Adaptation of Volunteers Sent by Humanitarian Organizations to Foreign Missions
Tóthová, Karla ; Běhounková, Olga (advisor) ; Záškodná, Helena (referee)
Annotation: The diploma thesis is aimed at processing the issue of adaptation of volunteers sent by humanitarian organizations on missions abroad. First, the humanitarian help and development aid with volunteering and principles of international volunteer cooperation are described. Second, the adaptation in relation to work abroad is characterized including tools for managing the adaptation process. Data were drawn from academic resources and reports issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and nonprofit organizations operating in the current field. The empirical survey objective is to identify and compare how adaptation of volunteers sent to foreign missions is being carried out by Czech organizations including ADRA, Brontosauři v Himalájích, People in Need, INEX-SDA, Doctors without Borders, SADBA and SIRIRI. The tools for managing the adaptation in these organizations will be compared as well. A method of qualitative semi-structured interviews with Human Resources managers ensuring the adaptation of volunteers will be used to gather the data. Furthermore, there will be made questionnaire survey with volunteers from each organization that have undergone an adaptation process within the last two years. It will be ascertained whether adaptation processes meet the needs of volunteers based...

Nursing care for women after breast ablation from the viewpoint of patients
TÓTHOVÁ, Kristýna
Recently, the breast carcinoma is one of the most severe cancers affecting women. It is very serious disease, therefore it is necessary to give these women increased attention. This bachelor thesis focuses on the women, who underwent the breast ablation. It is focused on the subjective view of the patients on the pre-surgery and post-surgery care. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the anatomy, the kinds, the causes and clinical signs of the breast carcinoma are mentioned. In the other part the prevention, the prognosis, the diagnosis and the cure of breast carcinoma is mentioned. Following chapters deal with the pre-surgery and post-surgery nursing care for the women who undergo breast ablation. In the last chapter, the support groups and their functions are mentioned. The empirical part of the thesis includes the results of research survey, which deals with pre-surgery and post-surgery nursing care for the women after breast ablation from the point of view of the women and also with the awareness of support groups. A qualitative research was used to process the data. As the method of research survey was chosen a half-structured interview, women were asked 18 questions. The interviews were recorded, rewritten to written form and then categorised and analysed. This bachelor thesis was written in a certain way, to bring basic overview of the nursing care for the women after breast ablation. The result of this bachelor thesis is a proposal for a manual for general nurses (the treating personnel), who treat the women who underwent breast ablation.
Numerické metody zpracování obrazu
Tóthová, Katarína ; Hnětynková, Iveta (advisor) ; Zítko, Jan (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to provide a concise overview of the numerical techniques in digital image processing, specifically to discuss the construction, properties and methods of solving of the image deblurring problems modelled by a linear system Ax = b. Often, these problems fall within a group of the ill-posed problems with severely ill-conditioned matrix A and hence require special numerical treatment. We provide a brief overview of selected regularization methods that can be used in this situation, including direct (TSVD, Tikhonov regularization) and iterative ones (CGLS, LSQR), together with the pertinent parameter-choice methods - L-curve, GCV and the discrepancy principle. The theoretical discussion is supplemented by the numerical experiments with real-life image data.
