Escape Room as a Teaching Method in Czech Language and Literature at Upper Elementary Education

The thesis focuses on the usage of escape rooms in education. It is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part defines active learning and games, specifically educational games. Furthermore, this section explores the usage of game-based learning and escape rooms in education. The aim of the thesis was to design and describe lesson plans based on escape rooms and implement them in the Czech language and literature classes at upper elementary school level. These lesson plans were evaluated by both the teacher and the students, and recommendations for further improvements were formulated. The goal was achieved through action research where eight lesson plans of educational escape rooms were introduced. Sources of inspiration, game elements, various tasks and Czech language and literature content which can be used in escape rooms are also included, as well as feedback received from the students. Implementation of the Cross-Curricular Theme of Social and Emotional Learning into a Reading Workshop

The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and research part. The theoretical part is dedicated to reading workshops, specifically to their importance. Reading workshop is a teaching method that develops reading skills and creates a reading community in the classroom. Furthermore one of the cross-curricular themes, Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), is introduced. The goal of the research part of the thesis is to identify the possibilities of connecting these two areas, to describe how reading workshops are led by elementary school teachers, to determine whether and how can the cross-curricular theme of SEL be incorporated into the reading workshop. This goal was achieved through semi-structured interviews with teachers. The interviews show that the teachers aim at various goals during the preparation for reading workshops, nevertheless they usually don't implement the outputs of the SEL. They would appreciate using inspiring lesson plans. In response to their need, eleven lesson plans for reading reading lessons were added to the thesis. The bachelor thesis focuses on Nature Reserve V Pískovně as the place of school botanical excursion. The theoretical part covers fundamental information about the nature reserve and also describes some plant and animal species. The practical section especially discusses proposal lessons that could be carried out before and after the excursion. Excursion and asociated lessons should pupils to create positive relationship to nature.
Nursing care for premature newborn

Tato práce se zabývá ošetřovatelskou péčí o nezralého novorozence na oddělení intermediární péče. Skládá se z I. části, ve které popisuji nezralého novorozence z pohledu lékařského (klasifikace novorozence, anatomická a fyziologická specifika, poporodní adaptace, ošetření a vyšetření novorozence, výživa, zajištění vhodného prostředí, resuscitace novorozence, nejčastější zdravotní komplikace a bolest u novorozenců). Ošetřovatelská část popisuje některá charakteristická specifika ošetřovatelské péče o novorozence, dokumentaci, ošetřovatelské modely a ošetřovatelský proces. Kazuistika je ukázkou ošetřovatelského procesu u novorozence. Ošetřovatelskou část uzavírá výběr historických momentů v ošetřování novorozenců.
Lidská práva v kontextu některých aspektů boje proti terorismu

Práce pojednává o problematice lidských práv v souvislosti s bojem proti terorismu po teroristických útocích z 11. září 2001. Shrnuje závazky plynoucí z mezinárodních úmluv o lidských právech a rozebírá konkrétní protiteroristická opatření a situace z pohledu dodržování či nedodržování těchto závazků.
