Renewable Energy Source
Mašek, Martin ; Škvařil, Jan (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
My bachelor’s thesis deals with description and use of renewable energy resources in the Czech Republic. At the beginning of my thesis I characterize individual renewable energy resources and its today’s use. In the main part of the thesis I focus on wind energy in more details, especially technical description of the wind power plant. In the end of my thesis there is a description of the small workable wind power plant and its economic analysis.
Condesing Steam Turbine 25 MW
Mašek, Martin ; Norbert, Weber (referee) ; Norbert, Weber (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
Master’s thesis deals with design and calculation of one body condensing steam turbine of 25 MW with samples for paper-making industry. The thesis is focused on calculation of the turbine’s heat balance with two technological samples and regeneration which consists of two low pressure heaters and a deaerator with a power reservoir. The steam turbine is designed with a water cooling condenser with down output. The flow part is calculated with lengths of blades. There are basic strength and proportion calculations. In the end of the thesis the turbine’s heat balance is recalculated to 80% and 105% scheme according to an assignment. Another part of this thesis is a drawing of a longitudinal cut of the turbine including a connector with a gearbox.
Software System Simplifying AI Development in Computer Games
Mašek, Martin ; Ježek, Pavel (advisor) ; Keznikl, Jaroslav (referee)
Artificial intelligence (AI) in games is developed by programmers and AI designers. Designers are experts on AI but they are not programmers. Because of that there is a need to create a tool which non-programmers can use in an easy way. The Behavior trees have proven as a very good concept for creating an AI. The concept of Behavior trees enabled the development of Revive framework which is part of this work. The Framework is developed in C# for .NET platform. Revive framework contains a graphical editor which enables creating of the Behavior trees. It has also been designed with a strong focus on ease of implementation and therefore it can be easily implemented in the games. The framework also provides an option to oversee the decision process of Behavior tree. Revive can be used by small games and demonstration of Revive usage is part of this work.
National Rally's European Policy Change In-Between Years 2011-2019
Mašek, Martin ; Emler, David (advisor) ; Matějka, Ondřej (referee)
Euroscepticism is a phenomenon of recent years and one of the biggest challenges for the European Union. The successful Brexit referendum has reinforced these tendencies. Marine Le Pen is one of the most vocal critics of European integration on the continent. However, in the last ten years, the National Rally has markedly rethought its position on fundamental issues of European politics. The idea of leaving the European Union has been definitively abandoned, and neither is leaving the common European currency. Instead, the National Rally focuses on criticising globalism and calls for protectionist economic measures under the pretext of environmental protection. It thus continues the ongoing transformation policy of dediabolisation, which is designed to increase the party's electoral potential. This bachelor thesis analyses the electoral changes in the National Rally's European politics, explains their causes and then analyses the different steps according to the three-dimensional typology of euroscepticism of political scientist Sofia Vasilopoulou. It further demonstrates that Euroscepticism cannot be perceived monolithically and presents the reasons that make it difficult for Eurosceptic parties to form coalitions to reform the EU.
Computed tomography in tissue characterization of the myocardium.
Černý, Vladimír ; Mašek, Martin (advisor) ; Malíková, Hana (referee) ; Zemánek, David (referee)
Introduction: Magnetic resonance (MR) represents still the gold standard in myocardial imaging. There are some studies suggesting that the computed tomography (CT) might be a valid alternative for some patients (especially the ones who are unable to undergo MR). Aims: We had two aims. Aim number 1: To evaluate the ability of CT in the evaluation of delayed contrast enhancement (DCE) in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy. Aim number 2: To assess the possibilities of CT originally performed for a different indication in myocardial tissue characterization. Methods: Part 1: We prospectively enrolled 17 patients with dilated cardiomyopathy. All the patients underwent both cardiac CT and cardiac MR. We compared the findings of DCE on CT with the findings of DCE on MR. Part 2: We retrospectively evaluated 96 patients who underwent both CT for any indication and cardiac MR. We compared the findings of a hypodense area in the myocardium with the findings of DCE on MR. Results: Part 1: CT detected DCE in 3 patients and MR detected DCE in 6 patients. The agreement between both modalities was in v 82% cases (kappa 0.56). The sensitivity and specificity of CT were 50% and 100%, respectively and the positive predictive value was 100%. In patients with positive findings on CT, the localization of DCE was almost...
Foreign trade raletions of the Czech Republic
MAŠEK, Martin
The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the development of foreign trade relations between the Czech Republic and other countries. It focuses on identifying the most important business partners with the help of foreign trade indicators. The bachelor thesis describes individual business agreements concluded by the Czech Republic or the European Union. An important role in the bachelor thesis has data from the Czech Statistical Office, which map the foreign trade of the Czech Republic in individual years.
Privacy issues of the Internet of Things
Mašek, Martin ; Bureš, Tomáš (advisor) ; Kofroň, Jan (referee)
More and more devices and sensors are around us in today's world. There is an increasing tendency to connect devices and sensors to the Internet. We call such network the Internet of Things. As the cost of computing power continues to decrease, data collection and analysis becomes cheaper. Thus, we are able to get much better insight into different domains. This could be a problem in commercial sector, where we do not want to compromise proprietary know how or data. Especially big concerns are around personal data. We can now analyse behavior of people or get access to personal information such as health or spending patterns. This thesis addresses these privacy issues. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
