Březina, Jakub ; Turková, Kateřina (advisor) ; Langer, Miroslav (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with one of the most important global sporting events. Specifically, it examines the media coverage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar in ČT Sport. Using two sub-quantitative content analyses, the aim of this bachelor thesis is to determine what space was devoted to the 2022 FIFA World Cup on the ČT sport channel between 14 November 2022 and December 2022 (the week before the start of the championship and the week after the end of the championship), whether the 46 pre-match studios on ČT sport, which cover the televised matches of the World Cup in Qatar, give more space to the favourite teams or whether all teams are given similar space, and whether the controversial background of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar is highlighted in the pre-match studios of ČT sport and, if so, in what context. The results of the analysis of the ČT sport programme showed that out of the 1 136 televised TV programmes in the defined period, 395 programmes were devoted to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. This shows that exactly 30 % of the programmes, which were broadcast during the specified period, focused directly on the events of the Qatar championship. Based on the analysis of 46 pre-match studios, it can be claimed that in more than half (namely 24) of the pre-match studios on ČT Sport, more...

The hypotheses are divided into three main thematic blocks, the quantity of published contributions of individual televisions, their format and thematic focus depending on the telecast of a prominent sporting event are examined in turn. In the next part, the collected data is subjected to analysis. They also aim to support interviews with important representatives of both Czech sports televisions, which are carried out for this work and which are available in the appendices of this thesis. It turned out that Czech sports television stations do not have work with social networks as a priority. Social network administrators publish content primarily in connection with the broadcast of a...

Music in art competitions at the Olympic Games 1912-1948
Langer, Miroslav ; Douša, Eduard (advisor) ; Herman, Josef (referee)
The Olympic art competitions played an important role in building the relations between art and sport in the first half of the 20th century. Although they have been forgotten since then, they have directly influenced the present look of the Olympic games and their artistic and cultural dimension. Beyond several exemptions, the competitions in the field of music were rather afflicted by the lack of quality. Czechoslovakia participated in the art competitions for the first time in 1932 after several independent and individual attempts, and then it took part again in 1936 and 1948 before the competitions were abandoned, with the organizational level improved year-by-year. Thanks to composers Josef Suk, Jaroslav Křička and Jan Kapr and their works, that differed from each other, Czechoslovakia recorded several important successes including two Olympic medals.
