Šnajdrová, Romana ; Křivánková, Markéta (advisor) ; Mahrová, Andrea (referee)
Title: Evaluation of the effect of the DNS FIT KID exercise program on preschool children Objectives: Assessment of the effect of the DNS FIT KID exercise program on preschool children with the secondary goal of building an optimal spinal stabilization system and thus influencing faulty posture. Methods: For this theses, 18 children (boys and girls) from kindergarten aged 3 to 6 years were selected. Aspection (gaze standing assessment), motor skills testing using the MABC-2 kit and DNS FIT KID (DNS tests and assessment of basic motor skills) were used to collect measurement data. DNS FIT KID exercise program was implemented and applied in the group. Results: When comparing the input and output results of the group, using the DNS FIT KID exercise program, a significant number of probands experienced a complete disappearance or improvement of the observed deviations in most of the monitored parameters. This fact therefore indicates a positive effect of the use of the DNS FIT KID programme for preschool children. Keywords: Spinal Stabilizing System, DNS FIT KID, DNS, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, preschool age, preschoolers, children, exercise, physical activity

Valtová, Nela ; Daďová, Klára (advisor) ; Křivánková, Markéta (referee)
Title: Level of physical activity in cognitively superior elderly women Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to describe the level of physical activity (PA) in cognitively superior senior women and compare it with the PA level of women of the same age. Another aim is to investigate the relationships between PA, anthropometric parameters and cognitive functions in this group of elderly women. Methods: A total of 90 women older than 80 years (mean age 83.4±3.3 years) who declared regular PA in middle age were included in the cross-sectional survey. The testing had the form of an interview with the collection of many anamnestic data, a questionnaire survey and measurement of the waist circumference. The method of determining the current level of PA was the IPAQ-E questionnaire. The MMSE, RAVLT, BNT-2, TMT and VF tests were used to assess cognitive functions. Results: Women over the age of 80 spend an average of 5.03 ± 2.3 h/day sitting, 181 ± 127.5 min/day walking, 167.4 ± 97.8 min/day moderate PA (on 5 days a week), 48 ± 84.4 minutes/day of high PA (on 1 day per week) and their average energy expenditure is 8560.2 MET minutes per week. Based on the evaluation of cognitive functions, it was shown that 33% of women with the status of cognitive SuperAging (SA) are in the research group. According to the...

Seidlová, Lucie ; Křivánková, Markéta (advisor) ; Mahrová, Andrea (referee)
Author: Lucie Seidlová Title of the bachelor's thesis: Comparison of methods using balance boards and neurocentric approach in restoring stability after ankle distortion in aerobic gymnastics Supervisor: Mgr. Markéta Křivánková Year of the presentation: 2023 Objectives: To compare the results of available studies using balance boards and neurocentric approach in restoring stability and to explain their principles. Methods: Search of Czech and foreign literature using the FTVS library, PubMed, Google Scholar and ScienceDirect. The practical part uses a method of comparison. Results: The effectiveness of balance boards in restoring stability after ankle distortion has been demonstrated in several studies. On the other hand, its influence is questioned by two of the selected studies which did not show any positive results from using balance boards on stability. Some of the results have been evaluated by questionnaires or stability measurements on an unstable surface, so it is not possible to determine exactly whether the use of balance aids improves stability on a stable surface and is therefore appropriate when returning to sport. The research looking at the neurocentric approach has predominantly been conducted on probands with CNS disorder or injury, so it is not proven exactly what results would...

Strolená, Alena ; Křivánková, Markéta (advisor) ; Nováková, Pavlína (referee)
Title: Possibilities of preventing painful menstruation and the specifics of women in sports. Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to compare methods focusing on exercise eliminatig or alleviating menstrual pain and also describe the specifics of women in sports in more detail. Methods: The main research method of the theoretical part of this diploma thesis is a search of Czech and foreign literature available from the university libraries of the Charles University, the Regional Science Library in Liberec, and then expert articles from the scientific databases Web of Science, Scopus and Pubmed. The practical part uses a method of comparison. Results: Premenstrual syndrome is followed by both emotional and physical changes. The occurrence and intensity of this syndrome is caused by neurohormonal and neurotransmitter changes, but also by the woman's lifestyle (symptoms worsened by stress, poor nutrition). There is also a close connection with painful menstruation (so-called dysmenorrhoea) and improper function of the pelvic floor muscles. Well-known methods focusing on pelvic floor exercises include the Moses Method, Kegel exercises, DNS method, and hormonal yoga. Three studies focused on Kegel exercises showed an improvement in the course of PMS and a decrease of incontinence, with the DNS method...

Title: Prevention of poor posture and muscle imbalances of pupils in the 1st grade of elementary school - questionnaire survey Objectives: Finding the frequency of use of the means of preventing poor posture and muscle imbalances in elementary schools in the South Bohemian Region. Methods: I used a quantitative method, a questionnaire, which contained 22 questions, to develop the research in the diploma thesis. I sent the questionnaire by e-mail to the management of 250 schools in the South Bohemian Region with a request to resent it to 1st grade teachers. The questionnaire contained closed, semi-closed and open questions. A total of 92 completed questionnaires were returned. I processed the questionnaires into graphs and evaluated the individual answers. Based on the evaluated answers, I answered my research questions. Results: The results of the questionnaire survey showed that 32.6% of teachers in the South Bohemian Region regularly engage in compensatory exercise, which includes stretching and strengthening exercises, every PA lesson. According to my survey, only 29.3% of teachers add physical education moments to their lessons regularly every day. Three-quarters of teachers use the movement to learn during mathematics or Czech language lessons. Key words: compensatory exercise, upper and lower...

Title: Compensatory exercises for swimmers and their use in dryland workout Objectives: The main goal of this work is to create a suitable compensation program for swimmers, which will focus mainly on the shoulder girdle and deep stabilization system. Methods: The research form is qualitative research. It included 4 respondents from the swimming club Slávia VŠ Plzeň. More precisely, 2 boys and 2 girls in the age range of 16-19 years. The research began with an observation of the usual fitness training of swimmers. Based on the observed movement stereotypes, a compensation program was created, including 3 exercises. We focused mainly on the deep stabilization system and shoulder girdles, which are the most problematic for swimmers. Before the start of the compensation program, an orientation questionnaire survey and an initial examination with a history were taken. The examination included aspect, muscle palpation and clinical testing focused on the shoulder girdle, goniometry and examination of hypermobility. The examination also included clinical trials for a deep stabilization system according to the DNS methodology. The subsequent intervention of the compensation program was twice a week, once under the guidance of a fitness trainer and once under my guidance. The total scope of the compensation...
Biological characteristics of polysccharide based contrast agents for cancer diagnostics
Křivánková, Markéta
Despite all the progress made in the treatment of cancer in recent years, it is still necessary to continue with the research of more effective and specific drugs. In recent years, there has been a growing interest in personalized medicine and its application through drug delivery systems, which could help increase the specificity of cancer treatment and subsequently its effectiveness. Drug delivery systems can use different platforms for their design, whether they are liposomes, micelles, nano crystals or others. A very interesting platform for the construction of drug delivery systems are polysaccharides, which were, as carriers of contrast agents in order to effectively display tumours, characterized in this doctoral thesis. But polysaccharides are interesting for more reasons. Both by its availability, and by its biocompatibility and non-toxic character. In this doctoral thesis we deal with two types of polysaccharides conjugates with linked contrast agents for magnetic resonance and fluorescent imaging. The first type of polysaccharide is glycogen, the second is mannan. Both constructs - glycogen and mannan based, were synthesized in a version with and without polymethyloxazolin, which should prolong their circulation in the organism. Both types of polysaccharide conjugates used passive...
