The master thesis "The Fall of Ferdinand Marcos and the Transition to Democracy in the Philippines" deals with the analysis of politico-historical development of the Philippines and the aim is describe the fall of nondemocratic regime and the subseguent transition do democracy. The attention is paid to the role and tactics of opposition groups among which leadership stakes took place during democratic consolidation. To be place into the context the master thesis deals as well with historical development of political system and its practise.

Diploma thesis The Jewish Community in Venice and Its Influence on the Print Development in the 16th Century deals with the origin and the development of the Jewish community in Venice and with the creation of the first ghetto. The main topic of this diploma thesis is the development of the Jewish printing in Venice in the 16th century and its influence on the Jewish community. The second part of this work deals with Daniel Bomberg, his prints and his Jewish colleagues. The third part focuses on the censorship of printing in the 16th century and on minor printing workshops in Venice in the end of the 16th century.

Czech for Foreigners in the Preschool Education Institutions

v anglickém jazyce The present M.A. thesis deals with teaching the Czech for foreigners in the preschool education institution. The work with the preschool children is connected with lots of specifics and thus it requires teacherʼs special attitude towards their very young learners. Children- foreigners often come from families, where nobody speaks Czech and their vocabulary is very restricted. Therefore, their inclusion into the Czech educational environment is not easy. In the theoretical part, at first we will focus on analysis of curriculum documents for preschool education, particularly with regard to children-foreigners. Afterwards, we will pay oneʼs attention to possibilities of support of integration of children-foreigners during education in Czech preschool institutions. After that, we will outline the aspects accompanying foreigners' integration into teaching and theoretical ways for child-foreigners integration process. At the end of the theoretical part, we characterize group and individual courses. Two case studies are subject of the empirical part and they contain the complex analysis of situation of children-foreigners in selected preschool institutions.

Ukrainian Question during Reign of Catherine II

(in English) This thesis deals with the Ukrainian question and with the development of the historical area of Ukraine during the reign of the Empress Catherine II (1762-1796). The stress is laid on internal policy of tsarist Russia towards Ukrainian territory and also on the Russian foreign policy towards Poland and the Ottoman Empire. During that period, Ukrainian countries joined the Russian Empire, the Russian Empress led the policy of unification and the political status of Ukraine deteriorated. Perhaps because of this, the question of the relationship between Catherine II and Ukraine is still very up to date. This thesis is based on relevant monographs of selected issues and on an overview of history from Czech, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian and Western historians. The Rise and Fall of Marcos's "Conjugal Dictatorship"

The work deals with formation of the political system in the Philippines. The aim of the work is confirm the applicability of the theory of sultanistic regimes in the Philippines. At first, the work shortly considers the colonial period, the formation of the political system after gaining the independence, and the course of the non-democratic regime as well as its end.
