(česky) Bakalářská práce mapuje ukrajinskou otázku a vývoj historického prostoru Ukrajiny v době vlády carevny Kateřiny II. (1762-1796). Důraz je kladen na vnitřní politiku carského Ruska vůči ukrajinskému území a na ruskou zahraniční politiku vůči Polsku a Osmanské říši. V uvedeném období došlo k připojení ukrajinských zemí k ruskému impériu, ruská carevna vedla politiku unifikace a politické postavení Ukrajiny se zhoršilo. Možná i díky tomu je otázka vztahu Kateřiny II. k Ukrajině i dnes velmi aktuální. Práce vychází z relevantních monografií ke zvolené problematice i souhrnných přehledů dějin od českých, polských, ruských, ukrajinských a západních historiků. Klíčová slova: Kateřina II., Levobřeží, Pravobřeží, Záporožská Sič, Nové Rusko, hetmanát, Ukrajina, Rusko, kozák, kolonizace. (in English) This thesis deals with the Ukrainian question and with the development of the historical area of Ukraine during the reign of the Empress Catherine II (1762-1796). The stress is laid on internal policy of tsarist Russia towards Ukrainian territory and also on the Russian foreign policy towards Poland and the Ottoman Empire. During that period, Ukrainian countries joined the Russian Empire, the Russian Empress led the policy of unification and the political status of Ukraine deteriorated. Perhaps because of this, the question of the relationship between Catherine II and Ukraine is still very up to date. This thesis is based on relevant monographs of selected issues and on an overview of history from Czech, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian and Western historians.
