This thesis deals with questions of scanning electric activity of brain,¬ so-called electroencephalograph (undermentioned EEG), methods of audiovisual stimulation (undermentioned AVS) and a data-measurement processing. Theoretical part of the thesis is engaged in a theory of EEG signal creation, history and even in current methods of purchasing and processing of the EEG signal, theory of AVS and a theory of biofeedback. For measuring EEG signal with or without an application of AVS methods has been used EEG diagnostic device by Alien company. Its attributes are described in the thesis as well. For elaboration and analysis has been created a programme aplication EEG_xhroze00.fig which realizes frequency spectrum analysis using Fast Fourier Transform algorithm (FFT) and another programme aplication brain_mapping.fig for mapping activity of brain using designed algorithm.

The Creative Vision in the Short Stories of Bunin and Andrejevová
Dále se zabývám porovnáním Buninova a Andrejevova přístupu ke světelným a barevným kontrastům, k barevnému vyjádření vnějšího a vnitřního světa hrdiny, časovosti a věčnosti, života a smrti. NANOCERIA PREPARED BY ELECTRON BEAM EVAPORATION
Pizúrová, Naděžda ; Hlaváček, A. ; Kavčiaková, Zuzana ; Roupcová, Pavla ; Kuběna, Ivo ; Buršík, Jiří ; Sokovnin, S. Y.
Cerium oxide nanoparticles (nanoceria) are currently one of the most investigated nanomaterials because of their attractive properties used in biomedical applications, catalysis, fuel cells, and many others. These attractive properties are connected with the Ce3+ and Ce4+ valency state ratio. In the nanoparticle form, cerium oxides contain a mixture of Ce3+ and Ce4+ on the nanoparticle surfaces. Switching between these two states requires oxygen vacancies. Therefore, nanoceria's inherent ability to act as an antioxidant in an environmentally-dependent manner and a “redox switch” to confer auto-regenerating capabilities by automatically shifting between Ce4+ and Ce3+ oxidation states is significantly affected by surface morphology. Regarding this demanded behavior, we aimed to characterize synthesized nanoparticle surface quality and its influence on the cerium oxidation states. The received results were used to evaluate the synthesis method's suitability for suggested utilization. We used nanoparticles prepared by electron beam evaporation. This unique physical method includes nanoparticle creation through the fast cooling process followed by breaking radiation damaging nanoparticle surfaces to create surface off-stoichiometry. We prepared a sample containing clusters of a mixture of ultra-small nanoparticles and approximately 100 nm particles. X-ray diffraction confirmed the CeO2 phase in both components. To extract the finest component, we used centrifugal size fractionation. We received 200 nm clusters of 2-10 nm nanoparticles. Nanoparticle shapes and facet types were analyzed using transmission electron microscopy methods. We found out most nanoparticles were formed with truncated octahedrons containing {1,1,1} and {1,0,0} facet types and truncated cuboctahedrons containing {1,1,1}, {1,0,0}, and additional {1,1,0} facets. No octahedron (without truncation) containing only {1,1,1} facets was observed. Nanoparticle shapes containing {1,1,0} and {1,0,0} are suitable for redox activity. Some amount of irregular shapes, beneficial for redox activity, was also observed. Spectroscopy methods confirmed Ce3+ content.
Long-distance migrations of hover flies (Diptera: Syrphidae)
Hlaváček, Antonín ; Hadrava, Jiří (advisor) ; Černý, Martin (referee)
Long-distance migration of insects is well-known phenomenon, studied especially in butterflies and locusts. Until now, the migration of hover flies (Diptera: Syrphidae) was considered a rather marginal issue and not much attention has been given to it. However, billions of hoverflies take part in the spring and autumn migration every year, transferring hundreds of tonnes of biomass and nutrients. The aim of this thesis is to review an existing knowledge on the migration of hoverflies in context of their ecology and evolution. In the first part, I discuss the biogeography and diversity of migratory hover flies, methods for studying migration and the application of such methods in hover flies migration. In the following chapters, I focus on the migration of particular species in context of their ecology and evolution, especially on population dynamics, phenology, orientation, and dimorphism in the migratory generation.
Y. I. Zamyatin's novel We and its reception in Western literature
Sokolová, Dominika ; Hlaváček, Antonín (advisor) ; Vasilyeva, Elena (referee)
This bachelor's thesis describes Zamyatin's novel We and its influence on Western literature. The theoretical part of this thesis further defines the genre of dystopian fiction and examines its main features, introduces the author, his life and the historical and social contexts of this novel. It also delves into the specifics of other literary works that have been strongly inspired by We. The practical part deals with the literary analysis of the novel and compares it to various other influential dystopian fiction works of the 20th century, from both the thematic and linguistic point of view. The goal of this thesis is to show the timelessness of Zamyatin's novel, emphasize his legacy for the future generations and find similarities or differences in the interpretation of totalitarian regimes in Eastern and Western literature. KEYWORDS dystopia, totalitarianism, 20th century, literary analysis, George Orwell, 1984
Evangelical Тhemes in F. M. Dostoevsky's Нovel 'The Brothers Karamazov'
Berka, Jan ; Vasilyeva, Elena (advisor) ; Hlaváček, Antonín (referee)
Evangelical motives within F. M. Dostoevsky's novel The Brothers Karamazov are the topic of the bachelor thesis. The theoretical part will be dedicated to analysis of spiritual streams, which have influenced political, social and cultural development in Russia in the 19th century. Then a research of relationship of Dostoevsky to Christianity and Orthodox Church will follow. In the practical part, the influence of gospel on formal and ideological aspect of the novel will be analyzed and the form and rate of the influence, which occurred in the novel, will be examined. The main emphasis will be put on a description of usage of the used motives of biblical parables (particularly The Parable of the Sower). KEYWORDS 19th century, Dostoevsky, Christianity, Orthodox Christianity, gospel
